Welcome to Draft day 2025

I remember when the media played Brady Quinn as the second coming, and he got passed over a lot. Turns out the drafting professionals were correct about him, too.

i wouldn't sign him as an UDFA

posted a few times that he reminds me too much of manziel

lots of running around flinging passes to open receivers. 9-4 in a weak big 12 is not impressive.

his arrogance far exceeds his level of talent.

Back in the Albert Hayswood days in washington, an astute player wrote an anonymous article for the players tribune... it talked about how every team had egotistical jackasses that were difficult to deal with..
teams will put up with them until the second they have another option at the same talent level...

So basically if you are extremely talented, ala Antonio Brown, they will keep you around till the aggravation exceeds the talent... and if your talent is suspect, tgey arent gonna spend serious assets to bring that drama in...

So at this point Sanders will get drafted when the asset risk dips to a point teams are comfortable jettisoning him if the Drama gets too high for what he brings as a prospect... nobody wants to cut a top 3 round pick right away

I'm actually wondering if Deion paid off some of these draftniks to talk up Shedeur. They said he was the most NFL ready to start, the most polished. I have never seen a guy talked about by drafniks as a top 10 player fall so far with no medical or off field concerns. Milroe fell because he's a project. The is the NFL saying he's just not talented enough.
Read an article this morning saying he is being blackballed like Kaepernick. I laughed.

I don't know about you but I am moving up in the 4th (with a 2026 5th rounder, if possible) to move up and take a flyer on Sanders. The dude had been considered the No. 1 QB in the draft. He has the talent. I'm not sure why he fell this far other than the baggage of his dad being involved. Either way, it's a low risk, high reward move.

Im going Howard for Steelers next pick. Ohio State , well aquainted visited i think,, and he was a winner with Natl Champ. Im abbeviating because i dont feel like typing those long words.

DK Daily Shot affirmed the same thing. Talked about several players but noted on Howard.

Full circle as some here thought we’d take him should he last to us in the 1st round.

still way too much for sanders

Fully agree Coolie,I think he does go here in the 4th, but not for a trade up by the Steelers.

Yeah I keep hearing similar stuff from all over...
prior to the draft, there were reports that the Saints and the Giants took him off their draft board... even ones that said his interview here was really bad abd he wasnt being considered as a first round pick

His arm is ok, but it isnt special... there are no physical
Or mental traits you can point to that scream he will most likely be anything but a backup... he is also super entitled and cocky, doesnt seem to be a great teammate, and has a media ***** dad that will be a headache.... if the guy wasnt a 100%franchise type guy... why would you sign up for that?

Sanders, Farmer, Howard, Ayomar, Frazier
Will one be available for the Steelers?

I'd like Jalen Royals in the 4th even if they trade up. A guy that some feel should have gone late first or in the second. It also adds depth and insurance if Pickens loses his mind and has to be dealt. Really good value pick in the 4th.

this would force the team to carry 6 WRs on the roster but I agree, super high value right there to be picked

For those that have spent lots of time on this, how does Howard compare to Big Ben when he was drafted? I have not followed Howard at all, but his size, stats and success look promising.

Howard does not have the arm talent of Ben. Howard has a decent arm but not elite. He has enough mobility to escape the pocket. Ben played in a pro style offense at Miami OH. Howard has always been in simpler college offenses.

Ohio State has pro concepts but he's also surrounded by 2 NFL RBs and 2 NFL WRs. Egbuka was a 1st rounder and the OSU's freshman WR would have been pick 2 in this draft. When a QB has that much surrounding talent, it's sometimes hard to evaluate.

Howard is OK but maybe not a future star. He reminds me a bit of Mason Rudolph.
