What a clueless bunch

Don’t know how you can defend your ramblings of last night Coolie. The pass was the wrong call. Even if Claypool would have caught it I would have shaken my head. FB in. Gentry in. 2nd and 5. Run the clock down. Whatever you do don’t stop the clock. Naj was gashing them. That was ******* brutal. Thanks to the great kick by Boz. 1:45 left on clock. Just a joke they passed. They would have brought the clock way down. We will agree to disagree.

On the second and 5 play....I think Seattle was probably prepping for another run by Harris. Instead of going long to Claypool, had they just done a play action pass to almost anyone they probably would have caught the Seahawks with their pants down.

But you gotta run the clock in that situation, as you said, call a ******* slant, an underneath route with Claypool as decoy, a wheel to najee, I don't know they don't pay me for this **** but that was not the moment to go long.

I do agree that you still had 3rd down and hadn't Claypool PI'd it would've been manageable 3rd and 5 but the clock still stopped so I don't like the call at all.

I didn't check the replay but all the underneath routes might have been taken away. The long route might have been the only option with that play. I'd take what happened vs a forced throw underneath and an interception. That said, I'd prefer to keep running and burn more time on the clock.

Seems to me in the 2nd half there were a couple of times that we gained about 5 yards on the a run and our next play was a 50/50 ball down field to Claypool. I would simply would put those plays to Claypool in the trashcan. He either runs the wrong route or is to soft going up for the ball. I also would give Washington more reps.

You obviously need some sort of deep threat to keep the safeties honest but I'm not sure it's Chase at this point. Will be interesting to see if they come back with something else after the break.

Not giving up on Chase. He hasn't peaked yet. More worried about that run D they looked bad out there. I hope Tuitt can make his way back soon.

And I am not saying not to throw the ball deep but the plays where Ben lobs it up for grabs to Claypool are at this point just a wasted down 90% of the time.

It's Ben throwing Chase lob balls. Last year Ben was hitting him high and in stride, giving him a chance to fight for the ball. Now the defenders have plenty of time to wait, react and swat the underthrown balls away. I hope Ben can correct this, but something is effecting his deep passes, maybe the injury?

I am not saying every thtow by Ben is perfect but if the ball hit the WR in both hands on a 50/50 type of throw he needs to come down with it. Claypool just hasn't been.

That is on Tomlin. Halftime interview Tomlin we have to be ready to stop the pass 2nd half. Pete… We need to establish the run to take the pressure of Geno. We played soft and it showed.

They simply have to play this way. When you need 5 yards find 22 with the pass In that situation, a sack, a holding penalty is death. You need 5 yards to win the game.
