Post-draft, what holes do we need to fill and how do we do it?

Viable backup RB to spell Harris.
Secondary depth.
DL help.
A vet WR?

A corner , S is all booked up.
NT
RT

But RT and NT would get my high billing.

Then CB and RB...

I would upgrade backup RT. To someone who could compete for the start, ditto NT.

A cornerback, offensive tackle, and EDGE.

Moore is the LT. Chuks is the RT since they gave him a contract. The only T they might bring in would be for depth. For whatever reason, they think Chuks is a true starting T. I think he should be the backup.

They can still use help on the DL, especially in the middle. Tuitt still may be gone this year and if not this year then next. Even if he is back this year, how will he do? Also we don't know how a 35-year-old Alualu will do. The guys we had late last year (other than our rookie from last year who should improve) are who they are with maybe a little upside but they gave up a ton of running yards and can't be relied upon as starters.

Legit back up RB.

Possibly a vet WR but drafting 2, I doubt they will. Then again, if they can get a decent guy and Brown fetched a 1st round pick, maybe they can still get a 1st rounder for DJ since he is definitely better than Brown and stays healthy compared to Brown.

Basically, we can use depth across the board.

Set the stage: is this a platform to discuss our weak a*s coaching?

I'm really bothered by the fact that Canaduh wasn't even semi-competent last season. Like, he was really, REALLY bad. Seems hard to imagine that we have any reason whatsoever to be optimistic going into this season. And at first glance, Teryl Austin seems to be nothing more than just another run-of-the-mill candidate that Dopey didn't feel threatened by.

WR1, WR2 & WR3.

perhaps ILB, but i'm willing to wait and let Bush get the benefit of the doubt before yanking him this year.

I dunno, with AluAlu and Adams back, I wonder if they view NT as the priority this year that the fans do. Also, after drafting Leal, how many DL do they have? Don't they usually only keep 6, 7 max?
I also think they'll see what the UDFA RBs are capable of before deciding to add another. The one kid has some serious jets.

I view Adams as a stop gap by his contract I think they do too. Alu is at the break down age. They have a good amount of DL but the majority falls under DE status. I only see Loudermilk, Heyward, and Worm as locks. Ditto Alu and Le... If you do add say Tuitt and Adams that is 7. In that scenario I would guess it wouldn't be room but I think Adams is upgradable... Tuitt also might be on his way out...

That one cb we got as a udfa had a fourth round grade on him… he has some potential
Who Chris Steele? Some things to like. Press corner who isn't afraid to tackle.Good size and speed. Not great speed. Little handsy. Probably a PSer if he sticks as he is a developmental type.

HC
OC
Backup RB
OT
NT
S
A head coach isn't a positional hole.

OC has been addressed you have three on the roster capable 4 if you count Green.

Not a positional hole but a hole nevertheless....unfortunately.
One that we are stuck with unfortunately.

Hopefully he pulls his head out of his arse and starts to field a competitive offense.

So we still need an OT, not just a cheap vet either. We need a competetive viable starter to compete and have the chance to win the starter job.

I know with Chuck's big contract that isn't going to happen and I see the coaching is set on the players we have for OL.

Salute the nation

The Steelers must believe that Gerard Avery is going to be a good #3 pass rusher.

Wish they had protected Quincy Roche.
Same. I was a little surprised they didn't take a flyer on one this year either...especially on day 3. I just didn't think we needed to draft an H-back, ILB, or practice squad QB when we could've used some additional depth and developmental prospects at EDGE, in the secondary, and on the offensive line.

Tomlin neglects backup edge rushers more than he should

I think we are done adding players til after June cuts. It makes sense to do so too. We will know IF we need a new Tuitt by then but got Leal who is almost a clone of Cam to rotate someone other than Loudermilk and Mondeaux. Our back-up OT is set with Haeg but could be upgraded. After the Kazee signing, we are set at CB but could add after cut-downs for depth. We are maxxed out at WR as we have too many who will demand playing time as it is. I think they will add an Edge from cuts but no more "starter capable" types lest we have the disgruntled OLB situation again.

We need to see what our new OL is capable of before judging the RB room. If Najee can't get more than his 3.9ypa, why would anyone else fare better?

I feel like the Steelers still need a CB. I was hopeful Andrew Booth Jr would drop to us in the 2nd but the Vikes snatched him up.

Maybe they can bring back Joe Haden on a 1 year deal but I don't feel like we have a shut down CB on the roster to take on most teams #1 WR's. Not sure if Haden would be the answer either but Levi Wallace, Akhello Witherspoon & Cam Sutton I don't have much faith in any of these guys taking on a #1 WR.
