What holes do we need to fill?

The defense was damn near dead last or last against the run last year. What did they do for the DL? That's a huge concern. It's really a pretty big question mark anyway you look at it. That was painful seeing a Steeler defense get ***** slapped like that last year. Downright embarrassing.

They're counting on Alualu being healthy and Tuitt coming back.

I just didn't think we needed to draft an H-back, ILB, or practice squad QB when we could've used some additional depth and developmental prospects at EDGE, in the secondary, and on the offensive line.

I wouldn't have taken a flyer, I'd have taken Jermaine Johnson in the first round. He can rush the passer and play the run. Perfect fit opposite Watt. The Steelers have zero depth at outside linebacker. The Jets got incredible value with that pick.

Tuitt? He's been maybe coming back for 2 years now. Alualu I hope he's healthy. They will really need him. He's not a young man anymore. Without those guys it's an open highway for the run game.
 
They dumped Shoebert and hung on to Bush ( who was obviously avoiding contact through much of his playing time). With old timers on the DL and your "star" ILB avoiding contact, the middle of our defense looks like a running lane super highway.

And last season they went with that OL we trotted out there week in and week out. Might be another long season if they are wrong again.

I will never understand the Steelers approach to building the team last year, but that's water under the bridge now. Offensively they don't value the line and prefer to build with weapons over the trenches. Defensively, they don't value a nose tackle.

I'm really bothered by the fact that Canaduh wasn't even semi-competent last season. Like, he was really, REALLY bad. Seems hard to imagine that we have any reason whatsoever to be optimistic going into this season. And at first glance, Teryl Austin seems to be nothing more than just another run-of-the-mill candidate that Dopey didn't feel threatened by.

Everytime I read the title of this thread I laugh. It's like the guy who says "You need a blow? " instead of you ready for a rest.
