It's very frustrating not only because this is a continuation of the same **** we've been seeing over the past few years, but also because there's virtually no reason for hope or optimism that things will change anytime soon.
They've just become the epitome of mediocrity, with no apparent light at the end of the tunnel.
There needs to be significant changes, as the player evaluation/development, outside of the offensive skills positions, has become a joke. The defense in particular is an embarrassment. Things have gotten so bad there, they're paying a CB 5mil to ride the bench and had to resurrect the likes of Harrison and Keisel from the grave just to field a defense.
Whether it is Tomlin, Colbert or both, at LEAST one of them needs to pay the price for this.
I cannot help but harbor this overwhelming "sinking in quicksand" feeling, as if ownership could give Tombert 2, 3, even 4 more years and things will not improve, but likely get worse.
The prospects of improvement under current management and leadership just seems painfully remote to me.
