It's tough to throw very far down the field while Bosa is busy smashing your nose all over your face.
DK only played in 15 games. He missed 2 games and over a quarter. He averaged about 66 yrds per game which would have given him 1124 yrds. If he had one more catch in the game he got hurt he would have had more yrds than JSN. Also without DK JSN probably got a few more looks than he would have if DK was on the field. Bottom line is DK and JSN were 1A and 1B.Metcalf was the #2 last year and wasn't significantly more productive than he is this year.
So no
Bunch of hypotheticals to justify stats higher than his career average?DK only played in 15 games. He missed 2 games and over a quarter. You can't compare across teams or schemes we can only go by when they were playing together. Metcalf had a higher yrd / target than JSN in 2024 and almost 1k yrds in less than 15 games. The game DK got hurt in he was at 99yrds with over a quarter to play. I'm not using hypotheticals. The facts are DK was averaging over 66yrds / gm which is basically identical to JSNs 66 yrds / gm. The game DK got hurt in he was sitting at 99 yrds in the 3rd Q. Metcalf also had a higher yrd / catch average. JSN was a higher reception guy and DK was the bigger play guy. Obviously this year JSN is tearing it up but so is Pickens. Our offense is garbage so you can't really compare across teams. There are way too many variablesBunch of hypotheticals to justify stats higher than his career average?
You think DK is as good or better than JSN? Please give me a single real, not hypothetical metric to justify that.
Give it up
