What the experts are saying

I think with Fautanu's knee, they should kick him inside to guard. He'll be an all-pro at either position but I think he is better suited at G. Draft Simmons or Amembo at 21. Jones goes back to his natural position and when Seamolu's contract is up move McCormick into his spot.
His knee won’t hold up at RT but will at G? If he is an all pro at RT then you have to keep him there. That is where he would belong. You only move Ts to G that can’t muster T.😉👏

If they bring in Aron Roger’s, that would be the ultimate DUMB-**** move ever. No other decision in the history of the Steelers could match that dumb-fuckery.
They did bring in Kent Graham and Mike Vick
I think my jets can b.ood pressure can relax as they won’t bring him in.

My next sentence would be………… “It wouldn’t surprise me if they did”

Can anyone here come up with a more dumb asZ move?????? Football wise………..

He is the second highest rated ufa OT that wasnt resigned... He will absolutely be gone faster than a speed rusher turns the corner on him... teams are desperate for OL guys right now
If he doesn't find a market early he might sign for cheap with a contending team in need. Like the chiefs

To be fair.... here are Cowhers 1st round picks
1992 11 Leon Searcy OT Miami
1993 23 Deon Figures DB Colorado
1994 17 Charles Johnson WR Colorado
1995 27 Mark Bruener TE Washington
1996 29 Jamain Stephens OT North Carolina A&T
1997 24 Chad Scott DB Maryland
1998 26 Alan Faneca† G LSU
1999 13 Troy Edwards WR Louisiana Tech
2000 8 Plaxico Burress WR Michigan State
2001 19 Casey Hampton DT Texas [l]
2002 30 Kendall Simmons G Auburn
2003 16 Troy Polamalu† DB USC [m]
2004 11 Ben Roethlisberger QB Miami (OH)
2005 30 Heath Miller TE Virginia
2006 25 Santonio Holmes WR Ohio State [n]

Take away that 03 - 05 stretch, Hampton and Faneca and its just a lot of mediocrity..
Fanaca, Polamula, Big Ben, Santonio, Hampton, Plaxico, CJ....I'll take Cowher's haul over anything Clown-lin ever did, sorry.

I hope like hella we don’t take the Sanders kid.

That would require a way bigger whisperer than what Mike Tomlin can whisper.

Can you imagine the Steelers coaching telling Shedeur how they want something done and then Deon contradicting it, creating even more confusion for the the kid….. and the Steelers and the (last place) fans.

Place your dislike for his dad aside...

Shedur is the closest QB play style to Ben that we've seen successful here. The questions are:

1. Will be slide within 10 picks?
2. Is he the right QB for Coach Smith's offense?

Personally, I think the DL from Oregon is the front runner on the list...

Everything I have watched he has ok arm strength ok mobility. He is just Ok, meh system QB. Couple his meh ability with the baggage attached and I don't think Tomlin or Omar will touch him. They have said they were not thrilled with the first-round talent. The midround guys seem like better targets.
Accuracy is above the line. He can make every NFL throw. Takes too many sacks.

We've seen this movie before...

It's been 7 years since we hit on our 1st round pick. Not a very good track record.
One has to be dyslexic to read and understand this post...

D line is most likely followed by corner and running back then wide receiver. Running back only if someone falls to us.
Rooney took Najee Harris thinking he had Derrick Henry, no one had the balls to tell him he drafted Trent Richardson.

Najee had been a good back. Used in the right scheme he would be perfectly fine. What he lacks for Smiths scheme is outside zone vision and speed.

That would be the last dude I'd draft. Maybe in round 4 or 5. It would still be a **** show with his dad running his trap nonstop to the media when his little boy wasn't doing well.

The plus side might be an awakening of the guards. Maybe all the negative would enlighten a better view of the Tomlin and his blow.

But in Deon’s case I think k it would be the boys that cried wolf and eventually no one would listen.

The lack of vision would be an issue for any scheme unless you have an offensive line that can open up holes a tractor trailer could drive through.

I don't think his vision is terrible, but I think he needs a more defined system. He makes some nice moves he just doesn't seem to see the cut back lanes well and that is imperative in a zone scheme. He is better suited for a power run game with defined holes.
