What would playoffs or even a playoff win really do

Tomlin's best attribute is his worst as well. His floor is high and the way he mucks up games to win is enough to finish as a borderline playoff team in the AFC every year. However, they're always the worst team in the playoffs (usually in either conference) and this style of football prevents the team from ever advancing. I keep saying, whether the Steelers admit it or not, their goal has become to finish .500 or better, not to compete for championships. Heck, Tomlin is even hyping up the AFC North Championship game. Seriously?

He’s so desperate to win a playoff game he’s resorted to calling a regular season game (that should be a meaningless bye week) a “championship game”

What a tool
A tool with very low expectations towards an actual meaningful championship game

If they can shut down Henry for 4 quarters and make Jackson carry the load they may have a chance.
LaMar is always good for a turnover or 2 and Hairball with a dumb decision.

Probably won't happen, and perhaps it shouldn't.

This might be one of the biggest concerns right now. No one even has playoff winning experience outside of Cam and a few old hired guns. No “Steelers” way that’s been handed down like before. So I’m always for winning but will it matter with the current figure heads in the long run? Tune in next week buckaroo’s to see the exciting conclusion of “The T Team”!!!!
The biggest problem with this team is there are no leaders. I dismiss Cam Heyward and TJ for their hold outs - or ins, whatever. It's a dysfunctional team with cast offs and young players who get no coaching to bring out their talent. I honestly don't want them to win next week - it will just validate the Rooney's misplaced faith in Tomlin.

TJ doesn't really try to be a vocal leader. He seems to do his own thing, nothing wrong with that. Heyward is too tight with Tomlin to be a strong leader. Always makes excuses for performances and doesn't hold his teammates to a high standard.

The only way I see him coming back is if he is promised they will do everything they can to land big time wide out talent and he's given more control of the offense.

Watch out though Mr. Rodgers... if they agree...Tomlin will lie to you. Ask James Harrison.
1. Don't rule it out.
2. Don't rule it out.

"If they can shut down Henry for 4 quarters...". Shouldn't make me laugh - I think I'll wet myself a little.

Tomlin could screw up an order at the McDonald’s drive thru and blame someone else.
" Not getting our cap on the cup secured was certainly a component in the customers misfortune, but one customers misfortune is another customers opportunity as she angrily drove off we gave her fries to the next man up. There is a fine line between smashing grapes and drinking a cold Dr. Pepper...or in this case a wet crotch....obviously...if you will...I went right back to the soda machine though as I love to smile in the face of adversity. I don't make excuses, excuses are the tools of the incompetent..I'm Mclovin it...if you will...obviously..." Mike Tomlin in Fast Food and Not Living in Your Fears.

He already won the "Tomlinship", so yeah, that's a pretty accurate statement....AFCN is THE "Championship Game" to him. It will ink another extension.

I’m not sure this hostage can take too many more embarrassing playoff atrocities
