There is a good reason that shyt comes in a bucket .....KFC bucket ?
I hear it isn’t quite what it used to be. Not so much finger licking good anymore…There is a good reason that shyt comes in a bucket .....
I admit as a kid I loved the 11 herbs and spices ...... they just never liked me back the next day .......
Last 2x I got KFC it was bad.....I used to love the mashed potatoes with gravy but they changed something and they are borderline gross now. The chicken also made my stomach very upset the next day. There is a good reason that shyt comes in a bucket .....

Yes this franchise has changed alot over the years ........but not much of the changes are for the betterLast 2x I got KFC it was bad.....I used to love the mashed potatoes with gravy but they changed something and they are borderline gross now. I'm such a great influenceI know many here pride themselves on game day eats. I also know many here are very good cooks.
Myself, I made about 80 Jalapeño bacon wrapped poppers, then froze them. 1/2 with pork Bacon and 1/2 with Turkey bacon.
Sunday’s Cleveland game I made 8 (1/2 & 1/2) in the air fryer. I used 400F for 20 minutes as I like the bacon crispy. The temperature and time finished them perfectly to my taste. With the bacon being a little extra crunchy, I found myself enjoying the Turkey ones better.
The culmination of the three cheese / and a heavy paprika spice, and the pepper itself seemed just the right combination.
I’ll be making 10 of them tonight (each one is 1/2 of a jalapeño ).
What’s on your plate.?

Agreed. Maybe my tastes have evolved (doubtful) but it's not the same. Not even close. What a letdown when we picked up a bucket about a year ago.I hear it isn’t quite what it used to be. Not so much finger licking good anymore…

No. Friggin Tomlin!I missed the game just checking in to see if we won
I wouldn't be surprised if they used lard and other less healthy but really tasty means of cooking the chicken and todays chickens are probably pumped so full of antibiotics, growth hormones, etc etc. that might also factor in.The recipe has changed from what I hear...
Lard is so much more healthier than vegetable oils. Back then, you didn't mess with the Colonel's recipe. He'd take your franchise away in a heartbeat.![]()
I wonder why lard got such a bad rap. You never hear anyone called Canola Oil ***.Lard is so much more healthier than vegetable oils. They are all full of additives, etc.
Still, KFC is not what it used to be. Did they change? Did we? Probably both.
AND if you consume enough of that irresistibly tempting KFC bucket .......... you will surely be KICKING THE FRIGGING BUCKET ..... earlier in life ....so there is that ...lol@GROK Please help me make a bucket of KFC sound appealing
Why a Bucket of KFC is Irresistibly Tempting
Imagine this: You crack open that iconic red-and-white bucket, and a wave of savory, crispy perfection greets you. The Colonel's secret blend of 11 herbs and spices wraps around each piece like a flavor hug—juicy, tender chicken that's been pressure-fried to golden, crunchy bliss. We're talking original recipe drums and thighs that melt in your mouth, or extra-crispy wings that shatter with every bite, dripping with that finger-lickin' goodness.Pair it with sides that steal the show: creamy mashed potatoes drowned in rich gravy, buttery biscuits that flake apart like magic, and coleslaw that's tangy and fresh. It's not just food—it's a feast that screams comfort, nostalgia, and pure indulgence. Whether you're sharing with friends on game night or treating yourself after a long day, one bite and you're hooked. Why settle for ordinary when you can dive into KFC's legendary bucket? Your taste buds will thank you.

What? Your liver?Right. Left. Who cares???
Mine definitely have. I remember chowing down on Taco Bell, KFC, Burger King, McDonald's, Waffle House - I wouldn't go 100 yards near one now.Agreed. Maybe my tastes have evolved (doubtful) but it's not the same. Not even close. What a letdown when we picked up a bucket about a year ago.
Looks like you have levelled the playing field .....on nutritionI'm stepping up my game. I call this A Simpleton Solution by an Everyday GENIUS!
Same. I hear people talk about how red meat, fats, etc., all cause health issues. Not a chance. It's all the processed garbage, and additives, etc. Get rid of those, and as much sugar as we can, and health returns. Those places you mentioned are all processed trash.Mine definitely have. I remember chowing down on Taco Bell, KFC, Burger King, McDonald's, Waffle House - I wouldn't go 100 yards near one now.
