I'm NOT watching as I hardly ever have of late. The new format sucks and it's a drawn out affair hearing the same O'l bull puckey over and over. 5yrs ago I went through a MAJOR life issue and at that time I was paying $260.00 a month on "CABLE" TV. I got everything but then chose to lower my cost(s) and now currently have Netflix as my ONLY cost monthly. I also paid the $99.00 game pass so other than that I have a few streamed FREE channels.

NO worries because I catch near everything I need to know and factual right here on STEELERNATION.COM. I read a couple other headlines here and there but 5this place is the best.

WHY are you NOT watching the draft................................???

I just check on who Pittsburgh drafts. Don't sit around watching - have better things to do.

Dropping cable this week. I signed up for YouTube TV which gives about 70 channels. I will lose locals out of Richmond, but will keep DC locals. I get both now with FIOS, but they won't budge on their price and $50 for 3 streams and 70 channels is significantly less. Tired of paying Verizon $32 additional a month for the same cable boxes / DVR I've had for almost 10 years. They won't budge and I don't see the logic in me spending almost $4,000 over that time for those boxes.

I always kindA liked Mayock but even he was a little "blow-hard" at times. It will be interesting to see his "JOB" on the line instead of the condescending take of the past.

Thank You to those who keep us non-watchers up to date.

I've never watched the draft. It's like watching paint dry. I just check the ticker at the bottom of the screen from time to time.

I used to love the draft. My friend and I would sit on the couch, with a case of beer, and watch it for 2 days straight. Easy to do when it was Sat/Sun. Now Thu-Sat is not as fun, and there isn't the constant marathon of players being taken. It's a round, break, 2 rounds, break, then 4. It lost its party relevance. I don't know anyone setting up draft parties, outside of NFL teams, for their fans. Used to be a fun affair and something to plan to watch with your friends.

That being said, I'll kind of follow round 1, since I'm working the draft day part for the Redskins at the Wharf in DC. That should be a fun event.

Thursday used to be a guys night out for day 1 of draft. It was also a tie in with our fFL. Faded over the last couple years.

Ill definitely watch the first round and will try to watch the second and third rounds. I’ll occasionally tune in for the rest of the rounds and watch if the Steelers are about to pick. The first round can be entertaining if there are trades or players drop or teams “reach”. It’s kinda fascinating when you think about what is happening to peoples lives when they drop - losing tens of thousands of dollars every time their name isn’t called.

Will only catch bits and pieces. Probably be on in the background just in case we move up but honestly don’t have time to sit there and watch the whole thing. To drawn out for me and hate that they made it last forever! On a side note for those that don’t have cable and in specific NFL ticket. How do you watch the Steelers every week during season?

I hear exactly what you are saying. In the OLD days didn't they do 14rounds on saturday & sunday ? Now they are down to 7 rounds and three days and HOW MANY COMMERCIALS??????????????????

8 million and they usually fall right as the Steelers are making their pick

I will watch Thursday and Friday nights picks.
The TV will be on in the background on Saturday while I work around the house.

I do wish it didn't take so long between picks in rd 1.

at least you know the steelers will only be on the clock for about 0.3 seconds

I don't care for the format either. I will likely tune in to see who we pick only but its not must see tv. Who did we pick, let me hear a little about them and then let me come back here to laugh at the Madden know it all GMs who foam at the mouth about how their mock was better.

Nope. if it was Sat, i'd, probably, watch the whole first round and part of the 2nd, until our pick. Well, I would record it and skip thru the BS commercials.

I will most definitely watch Thurs. night but lesser as it gets into later rounds, however, usually do catch all the Steelers' picks live.

I will DVR it, as I will channel surf much of the time, but I LOVE it, especially the 1st round. And I love the surprise picks and moves.
