Becoming the BrownsPreseason and training camp has become our Super Bowl
Becoming the BrownsPreseason and training camp has become our Super Bowl
Would you rather them say "we're soft as Charmin???"Listening to the Fan this morning and they're playing all these clips:
DK Metcalf saying this is the best defense he's ever seen
JPJ saying we have 3 elite cover corner
Deshon Elliot saying this is the best defense in the NFL
Payton Wilson saying he's the best cover LB in the world
Tomlin saying we can cover any team
I understand you have to be confident as an athlete, but shut up, we haven't done a damn thing in a decade, why are we already talking?
Fact - Madden26 has given the Steelers the #1 ranked defense this year.If they're going to talk they best back up those words
Lest ye forget...I was super shocked at Wilson. He doesn't seem like THAT GUY. At all.
The team has taken on the identity of the leader HC known for overlooking.
It’s common knowledge that you don’t got shitz, until you prove it and even then you must do it continuously.
This “cover any team” is a statement that can and will come back to haunt you. Big H-E-A-D statement.
All I can do is “HOPE”, that’s all I’ve got.
Salute the nation

I'm happy they're talking and can't wait to see the final product on the field...

A smart team would stfu and just win some
Meaningful games and let their playing do the talking!
We are not a smart team
The Steelers will remain a dumb football team with Tomlin at the helm. This is still the same guy who called out the Pats several times and got bushwhacked by Blake Bortles in January.A smart team would stfu and just win some

I can close my eyes and see Larry Foote chasing Ray Rice, losing ground, and Chris Superman Hogan uncovered by any DB.But can the stillers cover WRs/TEs running loose down the middle of the field??

Yeah, that was dumb too, Cowher was also in year 3 as a head coach, not 18. And at least they were in the AFCCG, not the preseason coming off of 8 years of zero post season success. When are we filming the pre Super Bowl music video? Thank god that we had a coach before who didn't put up with any crap.
Pittsburgh Steelers
- During the 1994 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly were planning to create a similar song, likely with some help from backup quarterback Mike Tomczak, who was a member of the '85 Bears and participated in the original "Super Bowl Shuffle." Reportedly, coach Bill Cowher vetoed the idea. The Steelers lost the 1994 AFC Championship game 17–13 to San Diego. That same season, local Pittsburgh artist Roger Wood created the "Here We Go" song, which has since become the Steelers unofficial fight song and is updated almost annually to account for roster turnover.
No, how about we're just trying to get better, or man that defense is flying around the ball, they're looking great out there.Would you rather them say "we're soft as Charmin???"
You mean like the last time we saw our defense it was giving up one of the most embarrassing efforts in franchise history?I'm fine with it. It's good to see some confidence again on the D instead of the timid crap, being afraid to give other teams builtin board material from the last few years. I like to see a team that says they are going to punch you in the mouth, then go out and play their best to try and do it instead of being afraid to make someone upset. Let them talk the talk, then we hold them to it and let them have it if they suck.
What 'exactly' was wrong with the comments? No, how about we're just trying to get better, or man that defense is flying around the ball, they're looking great out there.
Wilson calling himself the greatest cover LB in the world, LOL! I'm sure the question wasn't are you the best cover LB in the world?
It wouldn't be quite as bad if we weren't coming of one of the most embarrassing defensive performances in franchise history in the playoffs.
Where's your soccer ball??? You need to relieve some stress...You mean like the last time we saw our defense it was giving up one of the most embarrassing efforts in franchise history?
Yeah, they deserve to talk
What 'exactly' was wrong with the comments?
True or false - presently, is or is not the new defensive front 7 better than last year?
True or false - knowing what we know, and ON PAPER, is the defensive backfield better or worse than last year?
Call it what you like on the Payton Wilson strip fumble interception - the coverage was AIR TIGHT and he's only going to get better so, again, what exactly was wrong with what he said???
Yeah that's fine, say our front 7 is better than last year, I'm excited about that, or our secondary looks tough, and should be better than last year. There is zero proof, they haven't even played a game and you have players spouting off about the best in the world about being able to cover any team. What 'exactly' was wrong with the comments?
