How to do beat an elite cover team? Assuming these idiots are correct in their coverage abilities why wouldn’t a team just run 300-400 years down their throats like the Rats showed as easily possible.

We need Joe Namath as a guest coach to come

And just guarantee the eminent Lombardi coming to 7burgh

I’m not sure why the NFL will play the year out this year.

Just hand us the damn trophy so we can get to the parade.

The Steelers will remain a dumb football team with Tomlin at the helm. This is still the same guy who called out the Pats several times and got bushwhacked by Blake Bortles in January.

Yeah, that was dumb too, Cowher was also in year 3 as a head coach, not 18. And at least they were in the AFCCG, not the preseason coming off of 8 years of zero post season success.

No, how about we're just trying to get better, or man that defense is flying around the ball, they're looking great out there.
Wilson calling himself the greatest cover LB in the world, LOL! I'm sure the question wasn't are you the best cover LB in the world?

It wouldn't be quite as bad if we weren't coming of one of the most embarrassing defensive performances in franchise history in the playoffs.

What 'exactly' was wrong with the comments?

True or false - presently, is or is not the new defensive front 7 better than last year?

True or false - knowing what we know, and ON PAPER, is the defensive backfield better or worse than last year?

Call it what you like on the Payton Wilson strip fumble interception - the coverage was AIR TIGHT and he's only going to get better so, again, what exactly was wrong with what he said???

Defensive backfield ??? If people crack the code Slay will be exploited, JR we’ll have to wait and see…could see a very Donte Jackson season from him- if so it’s a wash with a likely worse safety grouping. They should be better, but will they actually be markedly improved.

PW better be the best cover LB in the world and dippy better be smart enough to deploy him correctly if he is.
Problem is those coverage skills matter not when a team is running it down your throat.
Warner, Buan, Okereke, and Roquan Smith are all shaking wondering if you’ll be in the top 5 this year young gun…as of now ya ain’t even the best in your division son.

This team is a Cam Heyward or TJ watt injury away from being very bad. But hey Watt never misses games and Heyward isn’t older than dirt so that will never happen.

Do you honestly feel that this defense will end the year ranked #1 in multiple meaningful categories?

With all that talk and assets on this side of the ball anything less is a failure.

Have a feeling they’re simply writing a boatload of checks on a below minimum balance account.

Yeah that's fine, say our front 7 is better than last year, I'm excited about that, or our secondary looks tough, and should be better than last year. There is zero proof, they haven't even played a game and you have players spouting off about the best in the world about being able to cover any team.

JPJ saying we have 3 elite corners? JPJ and Slay aren't elite, maybe Ramsey
DK Metcalf saying this is the best defense I've ever seen?
Mike Tomlin saying we can cover any one
Elliot saying this is the best defense in the NFL.

Confidence is fine, but talking before you've even played a game, and getting embarrassed the way they did just doesn't sit right with me.
