Wildcard Weekend Games (not Steelers)

My friend who is a steeler season ticket holder brought up a good point. He said that TJ kinda takes himself out of a lot of plays because he is always rushing out wide. Herbig may stay more disciplined which should help against Allen's scrambling.
yeah?

IMO, this is why the Steelers aren't dominant against the run anymore. They don't want to be because they want their defenders rushing the QB. Under LeBeau and before then, you had Hampton, Smith, Keisel, etc. doing all the dirty work with the OLBs setting the edge. Now the edge guys just rush the QB. It's what makes the defense tick now and it's nice we have a couple of competent backups for once. Still, the Steelers are 1-10 without Watt. They need Highsmith to be disruptive and use the mix of both Herbig and Golden to get it done...all while making sure Allen doesn't run all over us.

The divisional round is set. If the Steelers win, they will play next Sunday evening.

If we can win tomorrow, this weekend would be a good football weekend.

Happy for Detroit. I'd love to see them make the superbowl. I don't think they have the defense to make that happen.

Good Lord....that is only the second Lion playoff win since 1958. Take that in, I'm 57 years old and prior to today the Lions have only won one playoff game in all those 57 years. WTF.

Same. They get the winner of tomorrow's game and while it won't be easy, it's a better matchup than what the 49ers got.

Tampa Bay is erratic. You just don't know which team is going to show up, particularly at QB. The Eagles don't look like the same team. At one point this year, they appeared to be the clear No. 2 or 3 team in the league and all of a sudden it was gone. They also have a ton of injuries. Meanwhile, Jordan Love is playing high-level football and while there aren't any superstars in that offense, they have a great offensive coach and a lot of solid weapons. San Francisco is clearly the more well-rounded team, but Green Bay had to play their way into the playoffs and have now won 7 of 9.

The shot of the fan crying after the game. That guy has probably been going to the games since he was a kid.

Pretty cool.

Is skippy used as a put down? cause I love skippy Peanut butter. Smooth of course. maybe he is calling you smooooooth
He was talking to Charlie. I just was being protective of ours. But I hear ya.

If you like peanut butter toast you up some bread and slice up some bananas 🍌. Makes a tasty sandwich.

100% agree

There are only 4 teams that have never made a SB appearance.
I'd love to see Detroit and the Texans in the SB... (if we don't make it.)

That would leave the Browns and Jax the only two teams never to have played in the SB.

With how their fans act I am fine with both never seeing one moving forward.

Sure ya did Skippy. Show me the post where you had the Packers winning before the game Skippy!

I'll wait Skippy....

Too funny
you know if you stay on here long enough (not recommended) you will see Steeler fans hate the Cowboys almost as much as the Pats. We respect the Ravens. and dont really think about the Pack. unless they play the Cowboys. then Go Pack

I don't mind Jax making it, because the idea is for the Browns to be only ones left out....out there all by themselves would be awesome.
Yet another thing I can laugh at Browns fans for.

Trivia question:
The Browns, Jax, Texans and Detroit are the only 4 teams to have never appeared in a Super Bowl, but what makes the Browns the furthest removed from a Super Bowl?

Answer:
The other three teams...their cities... have at least hosted one. lol

So the national media is calling for McCarthy to get axed in Dallas, after 3 straight 12 win seasons, a road playoff win last year, saying they can get anyone to win regular season games in Dallas, they're about the championships and playoffs there, but we're idiots for ever discussing moving on from Tomlin?????

Well of course, they are "America's Team", they represent America.
We are just little ol' Pittsburgh. You people over there in Pittsburgh just shut up and be grateful.

Dallas is out. If the Chiefs and the 49ers get knocked out, I'll be happy for pretty much anyone else if we don't get past the Bills. If the Bills win, I wouldn't mind seeing them in their fifth Super Bowl - lets see if they can get rid of the 0 - 4 stink.

You forgot the part about the dumb-**** troll who only shows up after their team wins, jabbers as if someone here cares what he has to say, and finally questions our order of loyalty. Mental health care is his biggest need.

Salute the nation
