Would you?

gimme the 7th SB!!!! Who knows what happens over a ten year period. We could have 8 or 9 by then. I'll take my chances.

I didn't know this was an option. I would probably go for this. Idk if I got old, jaded, or if it's real. But thinking back to cowher teams from 1994- 2006, I enjoyed watching it. I enjoyed the tenacious d. I enjoyed the pounding offense. I enjoyed cowhers fire. I knew or thought we had a chance every game, and all we really needed was a QB. Even a Neal odonnell QB. Now it's painful to watch. The d is soft sans TJ and cam. We can't pound the rock and our once awesome QB doesn't throw down field. The lil things about football that make a team like watching Hines downfield block, watching Faneca pull and mow people , woodson and Troy picking passes. Levon crushing , Casey, stuffing. All those things ,, are all missing for me now . It's painful to watch,. I'm now the heroin addict who is only in it to keep from withdrawals.

We're all missing those days bro. Sundays were a religious ceremony in our house and now, my wife and I don't even put on a jersey, the terrible towels have been in the drawer for the last three seasons....It's just sad. But this Sunday...For Ben...We're going to be ceremonious again. A tribute to a bygone era of a team that was awesome to watch.
 
Another championship is hard to come by .......so yes for Ben to achieve that one more time and the franchise to move into first place ahead of all others with 7 championships.

Tomlin will be around until Tomlin decides not to be.......... it is what it is ......nothing we can do about it ......... we have some good pieces in place on the team and a lot of cap space going forward.... draft well and we could still begin a new era within the next 10 years
 
So if we take this Faustian bargain, if my math is correct that means that Tomlin finishes with 7 playoff wins in his last 21 years.

We’d regret it before Roethlisberger arrived at Disney World.

my reason for YES would be for BEN ROETHLISBERGER.!

He has given us 10yrs under "dud" coaching with never a chance at a SB. I'd give ten years in return.

Can't change the question after the fact. It played out as is and my answer stands. I'm not about public display of inadequcy. Ben has been a very team player and shouldered blame that wasn't his. If he was a vocal crybaBY THEN i'D THINK MANY OF OUR OPINIONS WOULD BE DIFFERENT AS WELL. (sorry capps)

I'd sacrifice the 10 for the sacrifice BEN has made without outcry.

Our coaching has been mediocre or less for the last ten years and BEN deserved much better than that, especialy his final year.

you act like he had nothing to do with them before today. He drafted this team. He assembled the coaching staff. He makes the decisions of what scheme to run. What starters to start. Who to keep on the team. "This Group" is all his..

I simply stated that if he can win the super bowl with this team, then he could probably win more in the next 10 years
Meaning that this is not a super bowl caliber team and would need incredible coaching to pull it off. And if he is capable of that well then he could probably do so again

It doesn’t preclude him winning anything for the next 10 years. It is just you have to accept him being coach. I think he will win more after Ben leaves if they do the right things personnel wise. We will certainly see what he does as a coach without Ben as a crutch. I think he will be fine but who knows.
 
why wait till we see what he does without Ben as a crutch. We have seen what has been done with him.. We have seen his past 10 yrs as a coach with a hof QB. How would anything be any better in the next 10 yrs. ? He jumped his shark in 2011. The Peter Principle - a person who is competent at their job will earn a promotion to a position that requires different skills. If the promoted person lacks the skills required for the new role, they will be incompetent at the new level, and will not be promoted again.

A'ight? I put on my breathe right strips at night. Ol girl tells me I hav't. I watch YouTube highlights while studying the draft. My head size is large, so I sent out a few feelers. Apparently I can't play for the Steelers.
