WR Trade Market/CAIII

Olave is the last guy I'd trade for. He's the WR equivalent of Tua. Just one more hit and that oatmeal is done.

Guys we can get for free:
Cedrick Wilson Jr - Saints PS. checks the pedigree box, and is on his 3rd team now but is 30.
AT Perry - Broncos PS. I believe we were linked to him before the draft, but cannot find anything online saying that. He'd add some height to the WR room at 6-5, and what better big man to learn from than DK?

sneaky good trades would be:
Tyrell Shavers - Buffalo. can't teach size at 6-4, and Buffalo isnt using him.
Dontavion Wicks - GB. We've been tied to trading for a GB WR for awhile now. Wicks is dropping down their roster, even with Reed being hurt.

Olave will be perfect

Like supe said, he certainly is an injury risk... but the Saints are going nowhere this year... they arent a year away either... so they either trade the guy, let him play out the contract and hope for a comp pick ( unlikely cause they will have to be hitting ufa hard the next couple years)
Remember, the saints sold out that last year of drew brees back in like 2020... they were like a hundred million over in 2021 so they pushed money out into tge future like fiends... they are still over the cap in 2026 by 20 million.. this is a team that needs to free up cap space.

Olave or Meyers would be targets. The other side is you would have to sign them to big contracts.

AT Perry (if still a PS player) seems like an ideal candidate

Some raw ability and ya can’t teach size.

Or maybe just give Skowronek some more play. He tries hard and can block and that seems like 2 of the most important factors in the AS offense under the Tomlin turtle ball scheme.

espn has us trading for Chris olava im an old school Steeler we draft ours we don’t trade for them we school ours we don’t sign them but with this staff I don’t think the old ways are holding… you either get with the program or go home… olave fits in many ways he’s pretty much an all around receiver with a good deep rout… I think he with Metcalf gives us a solid pair of WRs for a few years to come it’s not a one year patch GOSTEELERS!

Rut rho... @Superman has uncovered some great info on Olave, the ex-Buckeye.

Too many concussions for me. No sale!!!

AJ has been causing issues for a couple years on a good team. I dont think he would be a good fit here. We barely target our #1 guy as is. I could see AJ throwing a fit here

How about we just spring Roman Wilson out of the witness protection program he's been in and see what the lad can do?
I meet some very interesting people when I play Madden online.

On Thursday, I had the absolute pleasure of playing a local Yinzer, who is the strength and conditioning coach, at Pitt. He beat me 7-0 the first game (the game stupidly allows same team matches so it was Steelers vs. Steelers). And I won the second matchup 20-17; but he started talking to me in the second game and I learned that Darnell Washington is the biggest and baddest dude in the gym and none of the Steelers want to workout with him because he's an absolute beast!!!

Then we talked about Roman Wilson... his opinion was quite enlightening--- he said that Roman can't get in the field because he still hasn't caught on to the plays and doesn't run the right routes if an audible is called.

That's shocking. I still like Wilson but I wish he was smarter...

That was the word from insiders about Roman last year too…where there is smoke there is usually fire.

I have zero reason to like Wilson other than the Steelers drafted him…he has been an absolutely disappointing pick and apparently a waste of a third rounder.

In his second season and can’t even sniff the field as a 3rd rounder pick? In a very weak WR room taboot??? That ain’t good.
