WR

Tomlin said he expects David to be gone before our pick. They USUALLY meet with their draft picks, but it happened once before, a prospect they weren't expecting to be there. They picked him (Mendenhall). If Davis is still there, meeting or not, you don't pass
Yeah, the “usually” part was noted in my post in the other thread. And no, you don’t pass on Davis if he’s there. I don’t think he will be though.

What did AB, Davante Adams (SC) , Kupp show in college? The ability to get open. I like the WRs that have many attributes but one being the were ultra productive. Skyy shows that.

I like Olave for his TD production and speed mixed with route running.

Both look like safe prospects to produce.
Slash , his hands too

If you want a R1 WR Treylon Burks 6'3" 225 is from the SEC, Arkansas, is capable of winning contested balls and attacks the ball at high-point. A slow 4.55 40 at the combine may worry you, but he regularly blew past defensive backs to the end zone in the SEC. He has a high ceiling for further development, Pittsburgh strikes me as a place for that to happen.

Salute the Nation
No. Burks is not good. Watched him for two years. He WILL NOT translate well in the NFL because he's SLOW.

I read an article from a NY Jets site (jetsxfactor.com) who were evaluating Burks. They mentiond his 40 time was fine 4.56 for a guy his size but the killer was his three cone 7.28 and 33 inch verticle. In combine history only 39 have had a three cone of 7.25 or more and 34 inch or less verticle combined. Out of those only 13 were drafted and only one in the first round, Kelvin Benjamin who was a bust. Only two were successful, Anquan Boldin and Chad Johnson.

Just noted in another thread that they have taken no "official" meetings with any DL during the Senior Bowl/Combine period. They had dinner with Davis (and Dean) the night before Georgia's pro day. That's about it.
We know that historically under Tombert the first-round pick is someone they've met with officially along the way. It will be interesting to see if they pivot to meeting with
DL during the on-premises Official Pre-Draft visits.
Don't know where you got that info...

They've met with many just at the combine alone:

Perrion Winfrey, Oklahoma
Travis Jones, UCONN
Jordan Davis, Georgia
Devontae Wyatt, Georgia
Demarvin Leal, Texas A&M
Logan Hall, Houston
Jayden Peavy, Texas A&M
John Ridgeway, Arkansas
Zach Carter, Florida (informal)
Niel Farrell Jr., LSU (informal)
Joshua Paschal, Kentucky
Thomas Booker, Stanford

Thanks for the updated/differing/correct (?) information.
I'd tend to trust the Depot more than Behindthesteelcurtain (i.e. the link I provided I provided in the different thread I referenced above.)

No problem, yeah my bad if it came off dickish, it wasn't intended that way and I didn't see where you posted your link. But that most definitely puts Jordan in good company to be the pick, interviewed at combine, both Tomlin and Colbert at his pro day, pro day dinner, all boxes to check for a guy we take in the first

We need a 4.4 (or better) guy that has good hands. He can learn better route running if needed.

Aside from the obvious names (Davis, Wyatt), three names I like for 3rd round on, Leal, Hall, abs Ridgeway. In all my mocks, I've taken at least one of them.

After Davis and Wyatt, I also really like Travis Jones, another big athletic NT, not as big or as athletic as Davis, but still at 320 with his measurables he'd be a great consolation prize in the 2nd if we can't get Davis
