WTF are we doing?

He played in his younger days basketball and baseball. Baseball you are developing that grip strength.

He had that nice trifecta of grip strength, scramble ability and enough accuracy on the move that combined with size made him one of the most unique QBs in the history of the game. It is no wonder he had more 500 plus throwing yardage games than any other QB in the history of.
The crazy thing is, and I'm guessing most aren't aware of this stat, Ben finished his career with a slightly higher comp% than Brady. Everyone refers to Brady as pin point accurate and usually Ben as not always an accurate passer.

I’ve seen many a pump-fakes, but none like Ben Roethlisberger.

Quite possibly the best pump-fake in the history of the NFL.

My vote, would be the best ever.

Salute the nation

His pump fake
His ability to excel as a play breaks down
His skill after taking contact

All second to none
We were blessed

I would love to know all the QBs accuracy percentage on the move. I would be shocked if Ben wasn’t top 3.

Ben is criminally underrated because he didn’t play like Brady, Manning, and Brees and the media just didn’t like him. Imagine his all-time numbers if he was healthy throughout his entire career.

Or if he had an offensive minded HC

I asked IZ my chatAI to make me a list and I think it is pretty fair:

“If we’re talking pure throwing accuracy on the move, my personal historical list might look like:

1️⃣ Aaron Rodgers

2️⃣ Steve Young

3️⃣ Patrick Mahomes

4️⃣ Ben Roethlisberger

5️⃣ Russell Wilson

I would always debate BigBen was top 5 in this category. Now add in tackle breaking ability and we know who would stand tall..

Your list is very commendable, but I’d have to add a couple things with move up involvement of Ben.

Patric Mahomes isn’t quite the accurate as some think. I’m only going by speculation of my eye view test. I’ve had to endure more Chief’s games than I wanted due to my employee being a Chiefs fan. Mahomes had some luck in crunch time, but so had BEN.

It was more a consistent throw and catch while scrambling for Ben (piss poor OLs) where as Mahomes had way better protection.

As for Steve Young, he scrambled and took off more of the time than throw. He also had more stable offensive line protection. His scrambles were less intensified than Ben’s (due to being flooded from the get go), Young continuously had more time.

So in conclusion, I’d move Ben Roethlisberger up two spots and like I’m saying this is purely speculation and by my eye test.

Great list slash, thank you.
