Talks about how selfish LaMarr Jackson is. Also talks how this game was lost before the team stepped onto the field.

Also mentions how both parties, Action & Ravens are guilty of not getting the extension done. Compares the two to Bills & Allen.

Meh I don't put a lot of faith in Action Jackson in the playoffs. Not putting a lot of faith in him purposely sitting out. Don't put a lot of faith in him being a franchise QB. Writer is assuming a lot here. Seen that RB make his fair share of fumbles too.

Rats should let him go but not for anything he has done post injury. They should let him go because you win with a QB that scrambles to pass, not a RB that scrambles to run and occasionally throw a good pass.

105.7 fan in Baltimore is especially sad today. or angry. I am having a great morning! Radio up load. Bacon eaten. yep
BLTs turned out good yesterday, bacon 🥓 fresh out of the oven. Even had a few pieces for a snack later on. Delic!

How do they look for cap room if they do sign him to huge money?

From the outside looking in, it appears to be part of the case. I don’t know if Jackson could play or not, but he’s absolutely looking for the next big deal and the two sides should’ve worked out and agreement prior to the season.

The problem here is the Ravens built around Lamar and there is not another team in the NFL that will commit to Lamar’s style more than the Ravens. If Lamar leaves, there’s a good chance both sides are worse off.

Maybe. Rats always have been defensive driven under hairball. They would obviously be down the QB they built a scheme around. But I think Jackson handcuffs what they can do in the playoffs. I would think there is a better chance a new team realizes Action Jackson isn't all that than the rats falling apart without him. Bring in the right free agent QB and perhaps it is business as usual for the rats. Good but not great...

Maybe the rats try to trade for Lance given that he is a running QB too
Interesting. What would they give up for him? Or better yet what would the Niners be willing to accept?

I think there's like a 1 in 10 chance the Ravens long term Lamar now. He is exactly like Lev Bell. A phenomenal running back that should have taken the deal that his team offered. 290 million with 133 guaranteed is better he will likely get this offseason with showing he can't QB without running. He also is trending down. 36, 26,16, 17 touchdowns thrown. Defenses have figured it out. You make Lamar beat you with his arm not let him run all over you with his legs. I think Lamar can still have regular season success but I just don't see him ever raising a Lombardy. My guess is the Ravens move enough money to tag Lamar. They then trade him. I could see a three-way trade with the 49ers to get Trey Lance but if they just straight up trade him to a team I think Huntley is good enough to get them to the playoffs. He isn't Lamar running or throwing but he has played better every single game he started so they could go into 2023 with Huntley and a rookie like Anthony Richardson from Florida. Very similar player as Lamar.

Weren't the jets interested?
Donno. All I see is a player who wants a **** ton of cash, mostly all guaranteed. Seems to get hurt/banged up for a couple games a year, TD stats treading down, I think a **** passer and more.

That’s one hell wagon to hitch your team to. If only the browns were in the market. Lol

They are rock and hard place. Team is built around his particular skills and cannot win without him, but most important ability is availability.

When you have something good,” Jackson posted on his Instagram story, “you don’t play with it. You don’t take chances losing it. You don’t neglect it. When you have something good, you pour into it. You appreciate it. Because when you take care of something good, that good thing takes care of you too.”

Here is the real question, what nfl team would take him and pay him that money? Clearly he needs a specialized offense to run.
I agree his market would be a bit limited but I don't see them not getting a first and maybe a conditional later round pick. Bucs will be without Brady next year and will probably be with a new offensive line. Lamar runs so much who cares about protection. Jets could be in the mix just because the jets love big names. Washington might not be sold on Howell and could be in the mix. What if they throw the 15th pick and Howell at the Ravens. Get a young QB who can scramble and has a rocket arm. I would say the Giants but after beating the Vikes I think Jones is safe in New York. Maybe they swap QB's and give up a first through. And the Colts and Texans could be interested but I don't think they give up their top 5 picks for him. But I could be wrong or they could swap first round picks or give up 2023 2nd and a 2024 first.

This leads me to believe he could have played with the injury, but because he was on a one year deal he chose to take care of himself. I kinda get where he is coming from when Murray and others are getting paid, but it is **** or get off the pot time for the ravens and either way the *** wipe is expensive.

If the Rats didn't offer him that huge contract I would agree he should take care of himself. But he chose not to sign that massive extension. I know Watson and the Clowns kind of reset the bar with a fully guaranteed deal but I have respect for the Ravens with saying no. Watson isn't worth 250 million guaranteed. IMO Lamar isn't worth 190 million guaranteed. Where in lies the problem with trading him is if he wants a fully guaranteed deal I don't think he finds that while looking for a trade. Maybe that brings him back to the negotiating table with the Ravens but if I am the Ravens I want to move on from him at this point.

I agree, just saying a one year deal before a mega contract is doomed. The guy is not leaving all that money on the table to play if he has something that might put him out long term. Are they in a position to trade him or can he only be franchised or Non exclusive tagged.

I think he only can be franchised , from there negotiate a sign and trade with the 3rd party and the player

LJ is many things, but he's far from selfish.

Kid represents himself and chose to play on his 5th year option to help his team sign big FAs and make big trades like Roquan. Problem is, the Ravens are now a team that gives Team MVPs and the biggest contracts to players they didn't develop. This is what Washington does, and it doesn't sit well for players in the locker room.

Now LJ wants to be paid, and he should be. He's a former league MVP, so it's unheard of that he didn't get his contract last year, but again, he decided to play for the 5th instead of holding in during TC to get a multiyear contract.

Say what we want about him being a RB at QB, the kid is a winner. 45-16 as a starter (8-5 this year).
The Ravens record without Lamar: 8-14 (2-3 including playoffs this year) Flacco had half of those wins LJ's rookie season before he was the starter.

Ravens are a sub 500 team without Lamar, and they're playing a dangerous game of chicken with his contract, acting like it's too much, or they don't need him. The fact is, they do, and the offense was built for him. There is no plug and play here, they are dropping in our division if they don't re-sign him. Then poof, their QB situation goes from having a League MVP to a big fat question mark for the next couple years.

He is playing on his 5th year option and can tag him for 2023. Probably 45+ million to tag him. They are roughly 40 million under the cap (not sure how) so they can easily fit him under the cap. I just feel they won't be too happy about him sitting after offering that deal. He chose not to sign and is still making 23 million this year. After knowing what I know now after Bell I would trade him and move on. Don't let one player hold your team hostage.
