This writer thinks Lamar is toast to return a Raven........

Yep! I agree with this. Also Slash, wonder if the Pats would take a run at him? Not thinking they are sold on Mac!
Im betting that The *’s make a run at Jimmy G… he was Bill-E Coyote’s handpicked plan to surplant Brady but it blew up with Kraft, who wanted Brady to stay, and forced out JG to make sure that happened… I guessing Brady is retiring … he isn’t going to work with Bill again so if tge Pats look to bring in a win now qb, Jimmy G is a great free agent option for them

As much as I hate the Ravens, this is working out for Baltimore. It was just a matter of time before injuries set in. And this is just the start.
If he didn't get injured and they were a playoff team, they would have had to pay him. And they would have been screwed IMO. Just like Cleveland.
I say they move on from him and get back to what they used to be. It shouldn't take much to change the scheme. Bring in a couple good receivers and there you go.
My 2 cents.

Think he is the cheats type of passer? I think he likes the pure pocket types. But I do think Mac is on borrowed time.

When you have something good,” Jackson posted on his Instagram story, “you don’t play with it. You don’t take chances losing it. You don’t neglect it. When you have something good, you pour into it. You appreciate it. Because when you take care of something good, that good thing takes care of you too.”

Deep Thoughts with Lamar Jackson.......

The rumor mill says Pats would be interested in Lamar. Just think about a cerebral coach like Belechick trying to explain a complex defensive scheme and the offensive play to counteract said defensive alignment and Lamar's rebuttal. I would pay anything to have Bill mic'd up during his time with Jackson. I wouldn't doubt he walks midseason or has an aneurysm during a game.

I dont think he might have a problem understanding the concepts, but I do think he doesn't have the QB pocket passing capabilities to execute them

Lamar in a Pats uniform seems very awkward, knowing their past history at the position and offense. I'm not saying it couldn't work. Anything can work with appropriate time and execution. I could see him in Miami, though. With Waddle and Hill, that could be a quick and dynamic offense if you add LJ.

There is also rumblings about Action Jackson possibly ending up at the cheats, I don’t see that happening but stories be told.

Salute the nation

He's a one read and run player. He had early success because everyone was so scared of him scrambling that they would blow their coverage assignments. Teams have decided to keep him in the pocket as much as possible and quit allowing the deep bomb if things break down. This has resulted in less TD passes and more INT's. Maybe he proves me wrong but right now their offense has trended down since 2019. 1st, 7th, 17th and now 19th in points scored. And the fact a knee injury kept him out is enough proof for me to call him a running back. That injury doesn't keep a QB off the field.

They are probably moving on from Lamar ..Ravens should look at bringing Derek Carr in the fold..

I think Carr would do well there. Good D, WRs aren't use to having a pass capable QB. So I hope they stay with action Jackson. The best RB south of the Mason Dixon line.

I’ll be shocked if they don’t try to sign him.

They are saying they want him there for the rest of his career. Please sign him to a ridiculous amount of money so it kills your cap while he misses games every year. Please. Please. Please.

Jackson IS their offense. Ravens fired the OC which is interesting to me. A clear signal that the Ravens are moving on from Lamar and the offensive scheme that made him shine?

“After visiting with coach [John] Harbaugh and after huddling with my family, I have decided that now is the right time to move on from the Ravens so that I can explore new challenges and opportunities,” Roman said in a statement, via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. “My family would like to thank [Ravens owner] Steve Biscotti for the opportunity to be a part of this elite organization and for being the first class leader that he is.

They will try to sign him. They will offer him a 'fair' contract knowing Lamar will turn it down. Same as last year. Hairball says he will be QB. Of course he will say that. He's greasy.
There will be all this drama in the next few months. Some stupid team will pony up the money for him (Jets, Panthers, Cards...).
They just fired the OC. I see Derek Carr starting for them next year.

Harbage does this all the time. Any time the team is unsuccessful, he fires a coordinator. He never takes fault or blame. Unfortunately, Roman is the scapegoat for Lamar getting injured. If Lamar was healthy all year, Roman would still be a Raven.

I wonder if the Ravens just assumed we would be firing Matt Canada so they could bring him in. Ooopsie

What if he signs for a lot less than Lamar Jackson and the Ravens presumably trade the sulky man for draft picks? The again who would want him missing 10 games in two seasons and passing as he does? This move might make sense for the Ravens. They would save a lot of cap space, and upgrade at quarterback. They have a good team around Lamar.

Nah, too old, can’t play any more. Be just right for the Bears, Stains, or Raiders though.

Brady wouldn't go to a team with no WRs, Raiders sounds like a good fit for both sides
