do we play…. Cardinals @ STEELERS game Day Thread

At least the stream has calming tranquil music to sooth my angry soul.
Someone else mentioned it and I thought the same at halftime. Lated until play resumed then redness, vein popping, headache returned as well.

When there's lightning, you know it always brings me down
'Cause it's free and I see that it's me
Who's lost and never found
I cry out for magic, I feel it dancing in the light
It was cold, I lost my hold
To the shadows of the night

True. But, we also have more than a few mediocre players. That's the problem with "never had a losing season". Having a few of those brings you the Bens and Troys of the football universe.
For years now we give ground defensively hoping to either get a TO, sack, or that the opposing team drops a pass or makes a mistake. On third and short letting WRs run to the sticks and turn around and catch the ball because our players are playing back in zone simply doesn't work. Week in and week out we do this...for years now. Our D scheme keeps our D on the field. Sad really.

exactamundo as the Fonz would say. When you draft in the high teens down to the high 20s every year, you are in no mans land. Couple that with the ArtII apparently being satisfied with all the mediocrity just as along as Tomlin doesnt have a losing season and this is what you get.

Scheme puts our players in horrible positions to make plays.....

As much of a critic I am of the coaches, they had a good game plan to start the game

However much like Lebeau used to do for us (you know an elite coach) the Cardinals saw what we were doing on offense and adjusted in Drive #2, shut us down, and we have no answer.

Also all the bonehead penalties

Both things fall on Tomlin

Is there lightning,or is the deal that even water affects player safety?
Tomlin couldn't find his shades so the NFL halted play until they can find them. My guess is they are under the ping-pong table in the locker room. ESPN reported that they had some serious games going on at that table at halftime.

Week in and week out we give ground as a defense on scheme alone. All teams do the exact same thing to us on third and short.

I don't think draft position is holding this team back. Coaching and scheme is.

Because the Steelers do the same thing over and over again. Which is madness. The talent level is just too high and spread out to dominate without playing chess.
