That second round tender is 5.5m. He's not getting paid, could easily pay both.

hes a perpect Jim Harbaugh back

Both will be very good players, but also a terrible use of a first-round pick given the current roster.
I am leaning the other way on that now. I think it may be the most important thing needed other than a QB on offense. We need a back that brings the one thing Najee never did, a homerun threat along with size. Couple that with two receivers who demand double teams, and we may not need a great QB just better than we had and capable of seeing over the line.

Wow, was supposed to be the top of the RB free agent class, that’s a weak offer. Everyone who needs a back is likely looking at this deep draft.

So here is what I think is a million dollar question. You give 5 million to Warren. It wouldn't have been much more then that to pick up Harris option. In essence you chose Warren over Harris. So someone explain to me why when the chips were down last year season on line they didn't really go with Warren? What changed in 3 months here.

I’m gonna say it’s cause “we don’t blink” 🤣. Sorry, sarcasm and laughter are all we have to get through this right now. I feel like for every good thing we do there are 4/5 bad at same time. I’m really concerned about qb more than anything right now. I think draft is where we are looking for running back and at a cheap price.

Even the 2nd round tender to Warren doesn't tell me they want him as RB1. I think they like him in the role that he is. $5m for your backup/change of pace/third down back isn't bad at all. So I think they are looking to draft RB1 and replace Harris. IMO

Maybe so. But they clearly want him on the roster and they did not want Harris. So why not have looked at it for real.

Unless we extend Warren we are right back in this same spot next season. Or do they expect to draft a starter this season?
