Let the Mocks begin.......

Alright this is my mockery of a mock:
1) Nicki Emmanwori S 6’3” 225 4.3 we haven’t had a beast inside with size and speed since Shazier and Polamalu
2) Jalon Milroe 6’2” 220 4.3 we trade highsmith and or Pickens whatever it takes I think he’s worth the gamble here he’s a stud and has a great arm.
3) Deone Walker 6’6” 345 he’s the monster we’ve lacked in the middle of the line since “the big man” roamed the middle
4) Jack Saywer 6’4” 260 he’s just a kick *** guy that’s always around the ball perfect fit to challenge for minutes in the Steeler front 7.
5) Jack Nelson 6’7 320 OT he’s a prototype RT thats ripping up the defenses in the running games in the nfl right now… he played guard or tackle for Wisconsin regardless he just mauled the man across from him!
6)Malik Verdon 6’3” 215 safety he’s got great size and just flys around the field making plays his versatility with that size makes him a stellar Steeler!

How did yinz have a second, did you trade down?

I've decided that the Steelers have too many holes and not enough picks. The way most are solving it is by trading down. I'm going to take a different approach. I'm going to stay put and not plan on solving all the holes. I'm just going to go all in on one side of the ball.

For too long, the Steelers have tried this balanced approach. Now, I'm just going to go out and get offensive weapons:

A square peg slot WR AS won’t use in the first AND you took a DT where OBVIOUSLY you were supposed to take an OT for the offensive focus.
Double dip at RB and no QB?!?! I can only assume you have Rodgers on the roster with this draft…and for that I must give you an F 🤣, don’t do that to my beloved Steelers…please!!!

Nah, rolling with Rudolph. Give him all the weapons. And the double dip at RB is on purpose. This is the best rb draft of all time. I've watched days of tape and I'm quite confident in that. There will be at least 4 hall of fame rbs drafted this year. Book it.

IMO, the Giants will pass on a QB but with Carr's shoulder injury, the Saints will take a QB.
Kinda feel like they'll be pressed to not pass on Dart since he's from Ole Miss, where Archie went. Which would make Sheduer slide. But, they could also take Sheduer. For this mock, they take Sheduer.

21. Dart, QB, Ole Miss
83. Wyatt Milum, OT, West Virginia
123. Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State
156. Vernon Broughton, DT, Texas
185. Dont'e Thornton, WR, Tennessee
229. Ty Hamilton, DT, Ohio State

These QBs suck. Wait until next year. Draft a QB late for depth. Restock the DL and secondary, add a RB and get the QB next year. I think trading back in rd 1 to get back into rd 2 could be the best move.

Do tell…who are the 4 future HOF RBs?

Agreed it is pretty stacked, but you’re even more bullish on the RB market than I am!

You must’ve spent too much time looking at RBs cuz Egbuka would be such a square peg for this offense…book it

Luckily we won’t be drafting him

... HOF rbs are almost extinct in this era. There wont be four in this draft... when its all said and done there may not be five from the past 20 years to make it...

There have only been two statistical superior guys who are retired so far
Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson. Neither won super bowls. Peterson led the league in rushing three times. Gore had lower peaks but had 9 thousand yard seasons...
as the 3rd and 5th career leaders in rushing, both will get in.

Next is Leshawn McCoy... McCoy had 2 all pro seasons and six pro bowl campaigns... he has fourth highest rushing yards for guys who entered the league in the last 25 years. He won 2 super bowls, but not as a starter...

The final guy who may make it is Marshawn Lynch... he won a super bowl, and he is 30th in all time rushing, but he is firmly in that area of rbs that should be in but are borderline enough they dont make it.

Of the active guys there are 3 to watch.
Henry probably punched his ticket with his season last year. He was on the wrong side of the fence before that season. Even if he has the typical RB drop off this year, he still should finish in the top 15 all time in rushing. That should be enough in this era.

Barkley is 27. He has just over 7,000 yards... he probably has 3 prime years left... he is going to have to get close to 11500 yards to get in the HOF conversation... it wont be easy... the 2000 yard season will help if he gets close, but he is still far away

There is one dark horse who probably wont get close, but could because of his receiving yards...
McCaffery... he is 28 and has less than 6400 yards rushing, but has close to 4500 yards receiving... most rbs have a couple thousand yards recieving, but if he could get to say, 9000 yards rushing and 6000 yards receiving, he would have a case... with his injury history, i wouldn't hold my breath, though

I don't disagree with the next-year-QB idea.

Why do you say that? What could he not do in this offense?

Or is it because he’s a complete receiver who is a willing and very good blocker that he wouldn’t fit into the room with a couple of divas like DK and GP?

Isn’t Sawyer projected to be a late 1st or 2nd round pick

Tell us how you address the QB position

I’d either go with Milroe and lean into the dual threat ability, or take a guy later like Ewers and McCord, two high pedigree guys with strong arms. Love Ewers ability to throw passes with tough off platform from multiple arm angles.
