Go on record for your QB want in the 2026 draft:

If 6 teams need qbs (Steelers, Saints, Faiders, Indy, Seahags +++) then it's gonna be very expensive in terms of draft capital.

They passed on Dart this year after overdrafting KFP 4 years ago. They should not have traded #1 for Minkah when Ben got hurt.

Jets, Steelers, Indy, Saints, and possibly the Browns.

Doubt the Seahawks bail on their investment at least after just one year.

Jets might give Fields the two years as well they usually screw whatever up.

I am looking at Steelers, Indy and the Saints as front runners for a QB early. Meaning they probably will be the most aggressive. Jets could be the wild card. One thing for sure is those three teams will be hungrier than most…

Not convinced he will get an opportunity outside of injury…

difficult? yes

but some here have been known to go on record before the season and predict a non power 5 player to go in the top 10

Well right now probably hard to argue against Nuss. Allan is interesting…Klubnik…Sellers raw but very interesting. Iamaleava…

Like you said probably only Nuss high 1 right now but I want to say there is some attractive talent there we just have to see if they bloom.

I think Manning stays another year but if I had to guess two other than Nuss will bloom.

My way early prediction is one of these listed is a Steeler next year. ( not a big stretch I know).

The bigger question is will they trade up for one… I think they will.

I don’t have any recollection of the general attitude of the fans toward Ben when he was drafted.
I suspect like Howard it was indifferent, nonchalant, no one foreseeing that someday he would turn out to be a future HOFe’r.

It took for Maddox to get injured before we found our QB.

I remember the fan base being super excited about Ben. Half were piased
when he didn't start the season.

I don't know why I remember this but a poster called hey hey hey called cohwer a *Lobster ***** when Ben didn't start. A term I had never heard before, but use to this day

Would be hoping for a Ben/Maddox. It would be awesome to know who your qb for the decade or so is. I remember how awesome it was Ben's rookie year when you realized he had "it"

Don't think it was where he went to school as much as how high he was drafted. The Steelers had not taken a QB thst high since TB. ( think Malone was 27th or 28th but could be wrong)

I agree with this. Gotta see how this college football season plays out. But we need a strong armed QB in Pittsburgh to deal with the cold/wind weather games of winter.

We may not get our first option at the QB position because the Browns have two first round picks coming into next years draft. So we may be forced to take the second or third option.

The majority of fans I know (myself included) were all stoked when Ben was drafted as very few figured 1 of the 3 would even get to us.

But then Cleveland did what Cleveland does and we got lucky AF!!!

I remember instantly after the pick telling my friend I was watching with we don’t even need to watch the rest of this draft, we just won it!

Way different vibe with Ben (the known future) vs Howard (a cool story that may or may not ever even see the field).

They just drafted two QBs I am thinking they sniff around those for at least a year..
 
I want a HOFer multiple SB winning QB drafted.
