Rodgers Signing with Black n’ Gold

Not that I subscribe to this, i just think it’s kind of funny.
There are 40 yr old cougars that are still hot.

That dude is a troll, doing troll stuff. I think you nailed it his beef with Rodgers has nothing to do with football.

Rodgers has a history of throwing teammates and coaches under the bus-not ideal. Hey maybe he will keep teammates and coaches on their toes in a good way, they need some sort of shakeup. Or it could be a train wreck
Peyton Manning and even Ben did some of that. Usually deserved. At times keeping it in house isn't always effective. Some people need a public dressing down when it isn't getting done in private. I think they knew he was coming when they traded Pickens and knew he couldn't handle the perfection demanded by Rodgers.

He also threw a lot more passes, 2nd most in the NFL

He hasn’t played at peak AR level since 2021, comparing him to today’s elite by cherry picking a couple counting stats is misguided and might set you up for disappointment.
Yards and TD's are not cherry picking, they are the 2 most common stats?
People said he hasn't been good in 10 years but his stats are in line with the top QBs in the NFL? Explain how is that misguided or not correct?
Who would have you made QB this season if you were in charge? For 13 million, or any number name 1 guy that would be better than Rodgers?

If you are not going to field a legitimate QB, why not just go for the 4mil option? Why spend 9 mil more for arguably not much of an upgrade?
Who would you're 4 million dollar QB be, and how does he make the team better? Who is on you're list of satisfactory options at QB?

Rodgers was great 4 or 5 years ago. That means he was good 4 years ago not next season. He's an over 40 head case, prima donna, conspiracy theorist, and all around weirdo.

In what world does this type of athlete come into your locker room and make everything great again? On what planet does he share his knowledge in the QB room?

He cannot make down field throws the way he used to, watch the games and you'll see that. He's a former all-world QB and future Hall of Famer with diminishing skills, lack of professionalism, and the wrong kind of chip on his shoulder.

You love him...good for you. I think he's worthless and he's going to prove it quickly. Of course, you'll have plenty of excuses in November but I don't want to hear any of your nonsense.

And why call me "tough guy?" Nothing about what I say is aggressive or personal with you

This team needs a 5 year plan not 5 1-year plans. Each 1 year plan puts them another year behind the good teams in the league and 2 years away from the sometimes painful process of rebuilding

Imagine believing a 40 year old nutcase who was once a great QB is going to come in and lead the way to 7. It's insanity.
Who did you want as QB? How do they make the team better?
Simple questions

I didn't say anything about a 4 mil dollar QB being the answer to the teams woes. Just that if you are not going to be serious about getting a LEGITIMATE QB, why spend more than 4 mill to field one. Unless Rodgers/Tomlin have a HUGE meltdown, this does nothing to make the team better going forward. All these years of spending on over the hill players because they think they are contenders has resulted in mediocrity. Some times you have to do a complete overhaul/rebuild to get better.

Rodger throws a million passes and his stats are GREAT.

Harris runs a million times and he sucks.

That is how perhaps. No?

Could also be that as Pickens himself stated publicly that he forced his way out. He wasn’t happy in Pittsburgh be it from the poor kindergarten coaching schemes, poor QB play or media and fans that endlessly scrutinized him.

He needed a fresh start and I tend to believe him when he claims he forced his way out. Highly doubt the prospect of Rodgers coming in was even on the radar or that the two moves have anything to do with each other.

Pickens was just another in a long line of players that did what today’s players do and make a team trade or cut them once they’ve had enough. Not that I blame players for doing this, they don’t get guaranteed contracts so teams deserve these type of shenanigans.

Why is it that coaches contracts are guaranteed but players are not? Always seemed to me that if anyone should get guaranteed contracts it should be the ones risking their health…certainly not a coach that grossly underperforms.

I am sure he forced himself out, I am just not sure he did so intentionally or not. The CBA needs to be adjusted for both the players and owners' sake. The players could use more security, but contracts should be harder to break and redo so we avoid some of this holdout nonsense. You get guaranteed money, but you have to honor the contract.

What if he defies Father Time and has 4 straight 1000 yard passing seasons? Is he then good???

That would be the equivalent on ME sky-writing at night…………………………

What ever the reason, George Pickens turned out to be a wasted pick. Whether it was under-Developement by the coaching staff. Piss-poor QB play/talent brought in, scheme, his crazy-ness……….. all gave us a wasted end result.

Can’t blame anyone for trying to get a top quality draft pick, just turned out it was a wasted venture for many reasons.

Exactly
That would be amazing
As if a contract were an actual contract

He did make several WOW plays making this offense a tad less offensive to watch (kudos for that) as it was generally somewhere between watching grass grow or paint drying

Like sands through the hour glass, so are the days of our lives.

The paint will NOT dry with this offense. We still have players putting the pudding back in the box. Some players have had to move on due to cutting off their eye-lids.

In this offense, just because the player’s peg is round does not mean it will fit the Coach’s square hole. Sometimes that hol;e is dug to deep for any player’s peg, once fallen in,…… can never get out proven by careers of trial.

Although George has potential, he decided to speak loud and clear by leaving the whisperer behind.
