Pirates got swept and didn’t score a damn run. It was fun while it lasted.
 
Poor Paul Skenes. I am to the point where I am dreading every game he starts. You almost know he is going to go out and give a quality outing, give up 0-2 runs and almost certainly come away with a loss or a no decision because they refuse to score any runs for him. He has to be beyond annoyed with the whole lot of them. Eventually he's going to explode.

Any reason they have been pulling him after 5 innings? He threw I believe 78 pitches this past game in 5 innings and was done for the day.

I agree with your post. He has rarely gotten any offensive support. Sad really.

I was wondering the same thing his past couple starts. It's weird. Maybe they have him on a "First half innings count" leading up to the All Star Break or something?
 
The Pirates were once higher than the Steelers in my favorite sports team category... i was an idiotic kid back then... now, when they inevitably trade Skenes for trinkets and baubles in a year or two, i hope the city padlocks the stadium and tells them to get the **** out and dont come back till they have an owner who doesnt make the city a laughingstock..

What a total joke... that stadium would be better served with a minor league team that gives a damn playing in it...

Nutting has no business owning a MLB franchise. I look at the Brewers and what Arnold has done for them and Nutting could have had him instead of Cherington. But no, Losers surround themselves with losers and here we all are, watching losers.
 
Skenes to start in the all-star game. At least he will be fresh for that one inning of work he will be getting.
