You paid that clown per punt what I make in a season…wtf, and then tacking on the whole “I’m not sure it’s worth my time to play at that number, I got family to worry about…” yatta yatta BS Cam spewed and see if he can’t get some more millions too.

Certainly he’s due at least a playoff incentive too if Hypocrite Heyward is.

Players vote on that, I’m sure they’re all thrilled that yet another precedent has been broken. Look for more guys with 2+ years left on current deals to start pushing to re-do them.

If acting like a hypocritical, hostage baby and trying to sour/spoil other team members’ attitudes in your petty dispute isn’t conduct detrimental to a team I’m not quite sure what is…

Do ya really wanna try to build a team around that sort of foundation?

Short of multiple playoff victories where he is a valid contributor to the cause and an exemplary season worthy of an extension I would cut him before his next roster bonus is due next year. And roster bonuses would not be a part of future money, period. He’s proved unworthy of deserving that type of bonus structure in his contract.

On the other hand when the team is up against the cap, one players gain in salary is other players losses.
 
If Cam and his agent were very smart why the hell wouldn’t they have built in added incentives like he just cried about when they negotiated the contract last year?
No, Cam didn’t bet on himself last season when he signed the deal. He took the money, had a really good season then got upset because he and his agent ****** up.
Incentives make sense! Everyone wins if they’re met! Dummies should have put it in last year.
Now ball out and win playoff games! Yeah right!

Not to play devils advocate because I am not overly enthused with Cam. Perhaps Cam and his agent didn’t feel like they had the season to push for anything? Or maybe the Steelers shot it down?

I still don’t mind players negotiating behind the scenes. But let’s just leave it there.

I don’t care for a player mouthing off in the media to try to force the team’s hands.

Have your agent quietly do his job and you STFU and do your job.

Did Cam get a new contract and if so,……….. did he play with FIRE ——

Coming out of his assZ or his mouth ???

All I saw was a player who appeared to be running in sand when everyone one else was running on Astro-turf.
