Charlie Kirk shot from a distance, direct hit

Probably hit the carotid artery which is what I normally use to embalm people because, uh, the flow is very good.
The professionals who know more than I do in the FB groups for my profession estimate that he was dead within 90 seconds from blood loss.
The shooter, when caught, should be afforded the same courtesy

The day of the shooting, they interviewed someone in the crowd. His testimony was reasonable, he seemed reasonable. Then he said it absolutely sounded like a .22. I did a double take. Clearly he'd never shot weapons. A .22? It makes a small 'crack' sound. The audio clearly indicated a high power rifle.

My stepfather always hunted with a 30-06. I would badger him year after year, "why so much gun for a deer, you risk damaging so much meat?" He always said, "I don't want any chance of them running away.

Every deer he killed had an exit wound the size of a softball.

Charlie never had a chance.
A .22 rifle makes very little sound. It's like shooting an air rifle. I bring an old single shot .22 bolt action to the range all the time for my son. I've hunted with a 30.06 and an old 7mm Swedish mauser army rifle. Both scoped. Both kick like mules. It's a loud crack. They get the job done.

If you had it scoped at 100 yards you would have to aim high 3-4 inches above the spot you want to hit. If zeroed in at 200 yards you will get zero drop.

Those things run 2700 to around 3300 feet per second depending on the grain of the bullet.

That freaking Browning BAR used in WW2 was full automatic and used 30.06 rounds. Hell of a rifle.

Easily. The amount of blood we saw blow out of his neck in that brief video had to be 2 pints alone.

The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of men who wanted to be left alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know that the moment they fight back their lives as they have lived them are over.

The moment the men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror, true terror will arrive at these people's door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy... but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the men who just wanted to be left alone.

We don't riot and burn our homes or the nation we love.

However, it might be time to start showing up more heavily at Leftist events and let our voices be heard.

I didn't see it and don't want to.
You don't want to. It's just horrific. What was way worse for me was seeing and reading all of the people celebrating.

There's no future with these people. They don't want to talk, you can't reason with it.They want you to die.

We are not the same as the left, not by a long shot. I hope more people can clearly see that.

OFTB's post was spot on and mirrors my views completely. I was a big Charlie Kirk fan for the simple reason that he talked to college students, enjoyed the give-and-take, did not denigrate them or suggest they were inadequate humans for their beliefs. He expressed his views fully and with great thought and detail.

He talked about his faith and told us why he believed Jesus is the son of God. His explanation is something to witness. If you have not seen it, find it on Twitter or Youtube. He explained why he opposed abortion, and open border. He debated and while doing so answered the questions raised and the challenges from the students. He did so by focusing on the points the students argued. He was a self-taught genius. America is much worse today than it was two days ago. Like others I suspect, I am still fighting the anger his murder, his assassination, triggered. I can only hope that the vile scum who mock his murder pay some price and that a lot of Americans see what has become of the left.

after seeing that, just imagine what happens to a child's body when they are assassinated at school

Any attelpts to use this as another gun control argument is just absolutely obtuse. Not one gun control measure proposed would have eradicated the kind of gun likely used for this.

Gun control advocates typically are too idealistic or just stupid to understand why what they hope and dream would happen wouldnt play out in reality. They also ignore other countries that have higher gun ownership abd access yet virtually none of the gun crime we have, or the horrid alternatives psychos use where gun access is limited.
Remember, this country's first school massacre happened with dynamite ... killers use what is available.

Its a sophomoric mindset. Reasonable gun control measures to the left is an ever sliding goalpost and not really practicable.. but its a nice way to deflect the bigger social issues they dont have answers for ...
