Charlie Kirk shot from a distance, direct hit

The rifle used in this murder was a hunting rifle. The data for rifles being used to kill in 2023 (the latest date available) shows 511 killed with a rifle, and 659 killed by hands, fists, or feet.

Weapons Used in Fatal Attacks (2023)

We should outlaw hands and feet.

The problem with a gun ban is that with some 400 million guns already in the United States, the only people who would turn over their weapons are law-abiders. The remaining 100 million (?) guns would be freely available to criminals.

Time to go after the actual causes: for mass shootings, SSRI's and other drugs used on kids and catering to bizarre fetishes such as gender ideology and other mental defects.
Right. One of the reasons I'm opposed to a gun ban is that then only criminals will have guns. I personally hate guns and don't own any because I never wanted them in my house with kids and I'm a giant klutz. But I often think about the benefits of getting one just for personal security. My husband travels and there have been burglaries in our suburban neighborhood. Heck, escaped murderer Cavalcante broke into some homes right in my neighborhood.

I don't have a problem with things like background checks, maybe even licensing and safety training requirements to own a gun. However this kid is a great example, from what I've seen about him he'd pass any background check or training protocol with flying colors.

Here is a video showing why the left hated Charlie Kirk and many of those altruistic paragons of the way and the light are celebrating his murder:

My God, what a horrible human being!

Saw the same.

Putting my tin foil hat on...but I hope this isn't like JFK and Oswald - the fall guy for something larger.
Thought the same. The only thing we can see is the kid wore a black long sleeve shirt and had sunglasses on during a sunny day.

One shot and disappeared into thin air doesn't sound like the work of a 22 year old college kid.

But I often think about the benefits of getting one just for personal security.

You should. Since the Summer of Peace and Love in 2020, I personally know 2 women here in suburbia Maryland who, like you, didn't want to own weapons. They decided it was imperative for personal safety, took the courses, and armed themselves.

A family member told the authorities that Robinson had mentioned that Charlie Kirk would be present at UVU during dinner.

“They talked about why they didn’t like him and the viewpoints that he had,” Cox said. “The family member also stated Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate.”

Investigators located Robinson’s roommate, who said the suspect had sent messages on Discord. “He opened it and showed several messages to investigators and allowed investigators to take photos of the screen as each message was shown by Robinson's roommate,” Cox explained.

In the messages, Tyler indicated that he needed to retrieve a rifle from a drop point. The person providing the rifle left the rifle in a bush wrapped in a towel for Robinson to obtain later.

I just watched the press conference. I think they got the right guy. It sounds like they've got a lot of evidence.

But....

Charlie Kirk’s Assassination Feels Different Because It Marks The Start Of A New Culture War

Less than 24 hours after an unknown shooter assassinated Charlie Kirk, the widespread consensus on social media and in communities was that something about this feels different.

Americans knew things were heating up after a man shot a security guard at the Family Research Council over its beliefs in traditional marriage, after Republican Rep. Steve Scalise was shot at a congressional baseball practice, after a man planned an attempt on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s life, and after a woman plagued with radical gender ideology and Democrat-taught racism shot up a Christian school in Tennessee.

Over the last year and a half or so, Americans have endured two attempts to take out President Donald Trump, one of which took the life of hero husband and father Corey Comperatore, a self-professed demon-possession-motivated shooting on praying children, and now a fatal attack on a 31-year-old husband and father of two.

Kirk’s crime? Shouting his love for God, family, and country from the rooftops. Debating college students and effectively mobilizing American youth for conservatism.

We may not have identified who fired the fatal shot or why, but we don’t need to. The fact that the shooter aimed at Kirk’s neck and only pulled the trigger once tells us everything we need to know about why Kirk was murdered in broad daylight, doing the thing he loved most.

Kirk endured many a corporate media hit job in his short life. Those, paired with Democrats’ unwavering rhetoric calling for violence against their political enemies, undoubtedly played a role in the physical hit job that took his life.

The assassination of a titanic figure in the Christian conservative movement wasn’t simply about politics, though. It was much more.

As sad as it is, an attack on someone like Trump was not a surprise. Not only have several presidents endured assassination attempts, but Trump specifically was a target of some of the most vitriolic corporate media and Democrat smears since he announced his candidacy for the 2016 election. The blue party and their allies in the propaganda press tried for years to smear Trump as a Nazi and white supremacist, to impeach him and throw him in prison. It was only a matter of time before someone took a literal shot at him.

Kirk on the other hand, was a fairly normal guy. Sure, he had influence, but he didn’t hold the same power as elected officials or bureaucrats. At the end of the day, he was a normal guy touting normal values and beliefs that many Americans share.

Kirk was killed for the same reasons that keep many Americans alive and going. That did not go unnoticed. His murder effectively established him as a martyr and sent ripples through more than just Republican circles.

The end of Kirk’s life inarguably affected generations and will affect generations to come. Whether they cared for him or not, members of Generation Z especially were familiar with Kirk’s ways.

That’s why Americans are immeasurably angry. Angry that a wife and two kids went to bed last night without getting a goodnight from their favorite person in the whole world. Angry that engaging college kids on the topics of our time can get you killed. Angry that Democrats don’t give enough of a damn to even pretend they could tolerate a moment of silence and prayer. Angry that GOP cowardice set the stage for this moment. Angry that the media ghouls and their satanic blue sky stans spent all day yesterday celebrating. Angry that the blue party politicians and groups that have solicited political violence against people like Kirk have yet to face accountability. Angry that the shooter is still on the loose.

The assassination of Kirk feels different because it is. Americans are no longer interested in taking attacks on their principles, people, and cities sitting down. The murder of a young man whose only crime was being an effective Christian and conservative communicator marks the beginning of a war, a turning point that Democrats will regret ever starting

When the culture war came, many self-proclaimed Christians and conservatives were caught off guard. When the rioters and looters ravaged the nation’s cities in 2020, many bent the knee and posted black squares to their social media.

Not this time.

People aren’t simply changing their voter registration status over this; they are changing their hearts and minds. They are shoring up their defenses — both spiritually and physically — and readying for battle.

Kirk knew this culture of assassination was coming and going to threaten people like you and me. The “time bomb” he typed about in April 2025, however, is no longer ticking. It just went off, and the large swaths of Americans who felt the shrapnel will respond.

BREAKING — Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin illegally acquired the weapon, telling his roommate he was "retrieving a rifle from a drop point...leaving it in a bush." Messages note the rifle was wrapped in a towel. He had help.

If this is true, I can't imagine a 22 year old kid would be willing to give up his life for a cause.

I seriously considered it then. Guns scare the crap out of me frankly. I would need a whole lot of training before I'd bring one in and TBH I have a kid who was battling some depression around college and covid at that time, didn't want it in the house. Thankfully my next door neighbors are married military veterans and very well-armed lol, that gives me a little bit of a sense of security.

Totally understand. I've always kept mine under lock and key. Those are options.

Whether you do or don't (and it is a personal choice of course), the act of handling and shooting the weapon will give you comfort - just like driving a vehicle. Scary at first, until you have experience and understand the vehicle.

Glad you have those neighbors!

From photos posted on mom's facebook page this kid has been around guns and hunting since childhood. Which is not unusual for that part of the country.

The brainwashing is powerful. Many in that age group are consumed with blind hate for Trump and anyone who supports him, and taught that anyone who doesn't accept their world views is "fascist" and a "threat to democracy". Not that hard to see how they get to this point.

Been off this board for a while, and plan to keep it that way.

Absolutely gutted by the political violence stateside. The cold-blooded murder and assassination of Charlie Kirk is reprehensible. Violence is never the answer. My condolences to his wife Erika, his daughters, family and all those who knew and loved him. I agreed with very little that Charlie Kirk stood for politically, but it was crystal clear to me he was a patriot, and an extremely gifted, astute political activist who reached millions, and wanted the best for the country.

This is a sad day for America, and for the future of this nation. Left or right, Democratic, Republican, or Independent, we must find a way to coexist, and be able to debate openly, and if need be, to agree to disagree. Charlie Kirk represented exactly that, a willingness to speak freely, and thoughtfully, not only with like-minded folks, but with those who vehemently disagreed with, and opposed his views. The fact that he was silenced forever in this heinous murder is a huge blow to the hope that Americans can find some semblance of a middle ground. I hope that his spirit of open discourse and dialogue lives on, and becomes his legacy.

Charles James Kirk

May he Rest in Peace.

Not sure I believe what you copied and pasted is really how you feel. I think you were at least smarter than the rest of your ilk who showed exactly who they are.

So this young man grew up in a police family, understood, had access and training with guns, yet had to rely on someone else to provide the weapon?

And he was away at school, with a nice scholarship, and by age 22 became fiiled with hate and demonized Kirk?

There is a lot more to this story, it seems.

Patsy? Not sure I'm buying this guy pulled this off.

It is always so hard to believe that someone so normal can take down someone so much more important in the grand scheme of things.
This kid looks like a normal person.
Hard to believe he could take down one of our heroes.

I want to hear what his family and representatives have to say in his defense. We are all allowed to present our side of the story. Lynch mobbery is not the way to go.

Hear that, libs? Stop burning **** down because you think somebody did something that hurt your feelings.

Given the various pics so far, it's likely we get a good amount of info on the boy's journey to this point. It will be interesting.

As this must have been heart-breaking to his family, kudos to his Dad for doing the right thing, quickly.

Sure looks like Tibilo wrote the comment so we should give him credit for the post. Cannot disagree with anything he wrote other than the "agreed with very little that Charlie Kirk stood for." Charlie stood for:
  • Worshipping God/Jesus
  • Supporting the nuclear family
  • Love of God, family, the United States, in that order
  • Protecting America, including by enforcing our borders
  • Encouraging dialogue and debate
  • Defending what are deemed "conservative" views (God, family, country, protecting the innocent, punishing criminals, closing the border, deporting those who do not belong here) but doing so calmly and respectfully.
Not sure why the hell anybody would disagree with any of that. Still, Tibilo came to this site to offer views I think are what we all feel and all of us certainly should feel, other than the disagreeing with Charlie's views.

He was fervently pro-life, anti-illegal immigration, anti-men in women's sports and private spaces. In liberal-speak that's misogyny, racism and bigotry.

They are all currently furiously digging up out of context, cherry picked quotes to demonstrate this.

Agreed, odd that he grew up with guns and couldn't get one - unless he wanted one not traceable back to he and his family.

I also read today that he only attended one semester at the Uni. I don't believe he was currently enrolled as of the shooting.

I want to hear what his family and representatives have to say in his defense.

Given his own father turned him in, I doubt he'll be defending him.

That said, I'm keen on hearing the Minnesota shooter's Mom's thoughts and perspectives, as well as this monster's parents' perspectives.
