Miami Dolphins Vs Steelers Monday Night Pregame thread

Tickets are now $35 on Ticketmaster.
Just looked it up. Two tickets for $60.00 total. Not even horrible seats. Unbelievable,Monday Night Football in Pittsburgh. Talk about a lack of interest, and say whatever you want,we are in first place. How the times have changed.

There is a big snowstorm hitting Pittsburgh tonight... temps are dropping dramatically... temps tomorrow will be in the low teens... mondays high is predicted to be in the upper teens... maybe 20 degrees tops... season ticket holders tend to be older...they never go to late cold games... the surplus of tickets doesnt have a younger market to absorb them

I guess the tough Blue Collar reputation of Pittsburgh is a thing of the past? 😉 Not too long ago there was criticism when Buffalo rescheduled.

Who remembers this play? Steelers vs Dolphins 2013.

Just was talking about this somewhere within the threads. Was so close to being one of the craziest end game outcomes.

Skeleton crew at OL and DL
Peat,Pierre, and Watt have been ruled out. The rest of that long list… the majority of them will play.

I think many were just given some extra rest time knowing they didn’t have to play until Monday.

We do know this team is capable of losing to anyone healthy or not. Still good to see the majority of the list looks ready to go.

People are living longer now. Those tough blue collar fans just got older and let us be honest the teams play the last ten years hasn’t given them an incentive to stick to those tickets under unpleasant weather conditions. It is often painful enough to watch them under warm conditions within the house let alone freezing that arse off in the process. Not surprising the young spoon fed sensitive generation is not picking up the slack.

They've been running the same failed crap for over a decade. This entire scheme relys on the pass rush and turnovers.

Well, when your offense can't do a damn thing with them, they don't matter much. They get pushed around on the DL,and play that retarded 2 DL in situations they shouldn't, like the goal line.

They break contain constantly which gets them gouged by cutbacks by the RB. You'd think by watching the film they'd have figured that out. Then again when your DL is getting pushed around, your linebackers get washed out.

The offense looks pretty much the same as it has since Ben left, minus those jet sweeps.
They still can't run block worth a ****,they only work the sidelines with throws and avoid the middle of the field like it's ******* cancer. It's the most ridiculous ****.

It has to be the easiest to defend in the league. Any decent defense can shut that **** down by just stacking the box and pressing. Teams have been doing that to them for YEARS.

They need some serious ******* changes and a whole new mindset, if they ever want to get back to playing championship level football.
I don't think the owner gives a **** as long as those seats are sold.
I agree.

Coordinators have changed. Roster turnover. Same **** year in and year out. Denominator in it all is Tomlin.

Strange but people don’t want to pay much to freeze their ***** off watching a boring, predictable, insufficient product.

Ya never know if the pee wee Steelers or the NFL team will show up for a game.

For $60 I’d go and gift a friend the other ticket if I hadn’t decided on an absolute spending freeze for Rooney products until Tomlin is gone.

With little chance for Fins fans to trek up and scoop up the cheap seats available this would be a perfect time for a fan statement to the team and just have everyone stay home for this one. A half full stadium on prime time could send a message to the blinking Art Nutting and the other owners.

Three reasons they're cheap:
1. We've seen this story with this team before.
2. The weather.
3. Pittsburghers hate going to primetime football games.

I think number 1 reigns supreme with the majority.

You know you win and those other things mean so much much less.

93.7 The Fan reporting that the Dolphins practiced at Robert Morris University last night.
This would have been at peak snowstorm time. I'm thinking all that will do is increase the Dolphins' resolve to GTFO and back home to the land of warmth and palm trees.

Supply and demand.
If you work, in the best of circumstances, you pretty much have to take two days off, Monday and Tuesday or at least a half day on Monday.
If you're retired it's going to be too damn cold to sit out in 0* wind chill for three hours.

I have given up on Tomlin leaving next year. Still hope for a trade but when does thst really happen?
If I am Rooney iget rid of both Coordinators and hire 2 new ones outside the organization.
And then I force Tomlin to let them coach.
Don't laugh but I would rehire Haley as the OC

Anything short of replacing him and it is the same ol same ol.

This was the type of move they needed after last season considering they won't fired the HC. Tomlin needs to take the same route Narduzzi did and take a chance on a young QB who understands the passing game. Hire coordinators that want to become head coaches.

Statistically, Haley's 5 years as OC were the best offense of Tomlin's tenure.

So……like I said……..a thing of the past😁

Its a must-win, so the D must show up, and Austin must get creative with the blitzes. In the last game, it seems he must have watched some of LeBeau's old schemes, as blitzing Queen was very successful, making Lamar's life a living hell. A rod will have to be creative , latest injury report is mt Darnell 50/50 and he has really helped the run game without him the team can barley run.
If they go all big WR with MVC and Thielien you got to have some easy crossers for Mith and Smith and plenty of smoke screens for Warren, Gainwall, and Austin
With Pierre out hopefully Samual is ready, Harmon cloggs lanes if my game time he is cleared

Yep. And a lot it had to do with the QB.
But Haley didn't bow down to Tomlin.
Also had a lot to do with the overall talent on offense. As well as Ben at his peak, Haley had the best years of Brown, Bell, Bryant and a very good OLine.

Are you sure Washington is still only 50/50? Steelers official site shows Washington as no status, which I understand to mean he is fit to play. Harmon is the only player listed as questionable. Link to Steelers injury report

I don't think he had to since he was hired by Dan Rooney and not Tomlin. My feeling is that Tomlin was told by Dan to leave him alone.
I never heard of any issues between him and Tomlin though. Him and Ben didn't get along because he didn't want to go 5 Wiiiiiiiide every play.
