yeah but with grumpy edgy Mike comes cocky Mike, now that everyone will be talking about how great we are, instead of how bad we are, we'll see what happens.
Good news is that if Denver has to come here, we'll smash them, if SD has to fly across country will beat them and if Houston has to play here we'll shut them out, that's what's on Pittsburgh sports radio right now. So that's 4 of the 7 teams down.
I believe Mike Tomlin is 15-4 after a bye week.A rested Tomlin team is a rusty Tomlin team.
It is more than that. Our O was in the rut because it seemed our game plan went back to Tomlinball. Now it is more open. Mixing things up in the run and pass. On D we are also doing things a bit differently. Playing more aggressive. Not giving them the entire middle of the field on every play. My take anyway.
Now they're talking the Steelers hosting the AFCCG.
Stop being a bunch of sissies and just enjoy it for what it is and see what happens. The Steelers have actually been fun to watch for a few weeks.
Meh, Noll was here slightly longer but for much of his time they were playing 14 game seasons.Tomlin is now 1 behind Noll in regular season wins
Well saidFULLy agree here but would like to add
1). the injury to watt seems to have catapulted the tomlin into being way more agressive instead of sitting back and waiting for the watt majic. In a sense, Watt’s injury has been a good thing…. Twisted but a way to look at it.
2) the tomlin still has the conservative bug, he went turtle ball both times we went up by 12. You will go nowhere if that continues to happen.
3). The middle of the field has been included in the offensive game plan, it has showed these last three games.
4). Aaaa-Ron has played as well as a 42 yr old can play. He has risen this junk offensive scheme to actually be a factor in opposing team’s game planning.
Thanks for you great post(s) stillwright,….. appreciate yaz
Salute the nation

Also in his day there were between 7 and 9 future Hall of Fame head coaches on the sidelines every week. In Shades' era I got him, Belicheat, Hairball, and Andy Reid in the HOF and I can't think of anyone else.
