Answering the question posed: It would give the Steelers a worse draft pick and start up the national media on how wonderful a coach Mediocre Mike is.
And keep him here for another 20 years.Unfortunately, a playoff win, or two wins, would immediately throw the national sports media into a tizzy about how awesome MT is, heck even Stephen-A would come back to the fold!
I actually think there's a very good chance the Steelers win the Rats game somehow, someway. It's a prime-time, home game with the heat on full blast and Mikey knows it. He's good at these types of games and somehow gets the players motivated to move like actual NFL players. I'm guessing (and hoping) they game-planned for this one too - TO WIN. Plus, it's the Rats because they have the ability to screw up a lot too. I also think Tomlin will give Rodgers a lot of latitude which will be the difference maker, and he should've done it all season long.Tomlin calling this game " The AFC North Championship Game"
Great...one more big game this fool can lose. Can we add it to his playoff " body of work?"
I hope so too of course, I'm ready to eat my plate of crow.I actually think there's a very good chance the Steelers win the Rats game somehow, someway. But, I don't see a SB. Mikey will get nervous and revert back to his own conservative, play calling **** we see all year should the Steelers advance to the playoffs, and then lose spectacularly..... unless maybe AAron gets in his hero's face, and I can see that happening with Rodgers personality.
If that was going to happen what was that Cleveland mess of a game?I really think Rodgers at this point in his career might just tell Mikey to F OFF (he has the personality for it) on some of the asinine play calling we've seen in the past, and we might just win the AFCN and a playoff game. But, that comes with ramifications.
I don't think a loss to the Ravens will change anything any more than a win will. The only way I see change happening is either a 2 to 4 win season for immediate change, or at least two successive losing seasons. And maybe a losing season sees a change in philosophy, even if there is no change in head coach, as the "no losing seasons" streak would no longer be a thing to be protected.I want a win short term to continue the season and ruin the Ravens season.
But long term a loss is better for the organization. Not just in terms of draft pick position, but in getting closer to real change.
It shouldn't but hearing him say this irritated me because the Steelers used to aspire to play in the AFC Championship game. .500 or better is considered to be a success and an AFCN title is the pinnacle of achievement.Tomlin calling this game " The AFC North Championship Game"

There is almost no way he comes back. From the outside the team must have looked different to him, then he got inside the s***show and probably can't wait to run away...either that or it was about one more payday. He needed the 13 million because he has gone through a lot of ayahuasca and horse medicine. This is likely Aaron's last NFL game if they lose. If he decides to run the last show himself and wins the division what will they do about it?
Replace him with Rudy?
I think not.
edit: I didn't read jiminoh's post, saying the same thing

I can also seeing him stick around to try to prove everyone wrong. You know that crap means something to him when he's yelling like a moron after the Detroit game "that's why I'm confident Brooke Pryor".I could see Tomlin walking away rather than starting over with a new QB and guys like Heyward and Watt a year older. And if he does, I could see one or both of those guys hanging it up.

I was texting with my nephew who is an Eagles’ fan. He was disgusted with Sirianni and said he’d trade him straight up for Tomlin, I was always under the impression that my nephew was an intelligent person and knowledgeable fan. I didn’t know how to respond without hurting his feelings.Speaking of Andy Reid, Chiefs fans are ready to get rid of him. Eagles fans are giving Sirianni heat. No comments from the national media about the "spoiled fans" in these cities.
Tomlin's best attribute is his worst as well. His floor is high and the way he mucks up games to win is enough to finish as a borderline playoff team in the AFC every year. However, they're always the worst team in the playoffs (usually in either conference) and this style of football prevents the team from ever advancing. I keep saying, whether the Steelers admit it or not, their goal has become to finish .500 or better, not to compete for championships. Heck, Tomlin is even hyping up the AFC North Championship game. Seriously?I was in a twitter or X or whatever the hell it is debate with Michael DeCourcy because he's a huge Tomlin homer, he actually questioned the Eagles dumping Reid even though they won two super bowls since then, he said they probably would've won more LOL.
I brought up Tomlin being only behind Marvin Lewis in the most seasons without a playoff win with the same team, his response, well Cincy is doing great since they got rid of him. As I've seen with most Tomlin backers, they're enamored with the non losing seasons, even above playoff wins, they're so scared of having a bad year.

I really think that Rodgers is going to say screw that and do his own thing.
Whatbwill they do replace him with Howard.?
Edit. Didn't comprehend Jiminohs and speedicuts posts basically saying what I thought about a gee minutes ago
