Texans ( W - SF, LAC, BUF, JAX, L - LAR, DEN, SEA, JAX)

Stroud loves to throw the deep ball. Boy we looked great defending that last night................

I'm going to show you all something very strange... and I am not superstitious, but this is wild. My sister gave me this for Christmas and look what was in the box.

Out of all the thousands of boxes they pack at the factory I got one with the wrong team....and look at which team it was...LOL.

Bad omen? Or good omen?

What would Mike say?

I'm guessing " There's nothing mystical about it, but buy my action figure and stare into it's eyes before you go to sleep it will put you at peace. DO NOT cut off your eyelids...yet obviously."

Well I can tell you right now we are not doing that to them. If we win it will be close. I've been reading Steeler fan posts on Facebook, you tube, etc....some of our fans are delusional. They think we are going to roll them...LOL.

Either they are going to roll us or we win a nail biter, that's the way I see it.

The League’s BEST defense will show out against the historic defense of Pittsburgh and show what a dominant D actually looks like.

The two offenses are both mid when they are clicking.

If the Steelers aren’t COMPLETELY MORONIC they go hurry up ALL game to lessen Houston’s advantage of that dominant defense. Keep em on the field, don’t let them utilize sub packages.

Alas we are not a smart team so I wouldn’t expect the hurry up until it’s too late.

The scrubs don't know where they are supposed to be when they have a huddle and all of the play clock....I would think you don't want to go hurry up.

We are going to have to push them off the ball and get the running game going. If we do that we are in business. Even though Allen got sacked like 8 times in the Bill's game Cook rushed for 116/6.82 per against them. The Raiders even though they are bums hung 134 on them... other opponents have put 80 and 90 type yard games against them.

They are especially vulnerable to runs up the A and B gap. Problem is they will know you want to start off that way and stack the box. Then if you play action you get the GOAT killed. And that's because you play right into their strength, their pass rush. We have the horses(too bad Najeh is gone he would be perfect for this game) to get it done. Maybe run Conner Heyward at fullback at times.

We HAVE to dominate the scrimmage line. Even if it's just in spurts and wear their front down, then maybe the GOAT can get to work.

They have two very good DBs though...Stingley will probably shut down DK for the most part and the other guy(don't remember name)will have his choice of which scrub to eliminate. It won't be easy for sure.

The only other scenario I can think of is the game is too big for them and being away from home they start with a series of errors that allows us to jump on them early and their O struggles to come back...yeah that's not likely to happen, but that's why they play the games.

They were over committed to stopping the run, but that was against Henry who is a unique beast. They'd better clean that secondary play up for sure though.

  • Struggling Run Game: Despite having Joe Mixon and Nick Chubb, their rushing DVOA ranks near the bottom of the league (29th). If the Steelers stop the run early, they make the Texans one-dimensional.
So somehow the omniscience of AI missed the fact that Joe Mixon has not played a down for Houston this season?

Yes they seem to get caught with mixing up the past with the present. I use chatGPT, deepseek, and Genesis and they all have the same problem.

They are great at research but seem to glitch between dates and difficult evaluations. I bounce Steelers and work and home repair questions off them to see what they are proficient at. Sometimes an approach confuses them like say if you are following a surgical procedure process, or completing a task that required extensive details to complete accurately. For the most part they can do most inquiries but yeah I can tell somethings are still a work in process.

Team counting stat rankings:

Defensive PPG: Houston 2nd, Pittsburgh 17th
Defensive YPG: Houston 1st, Pittsburgh 26th
Defensive TOs: Houston 3rd, Pittsburgh 4th

Offensive PPG: Houston 13th, Pittsburgh 15th
Offensive YPG: Houston 18th, Pittsburgh 25th
Offensive TOs: Houston 2nd, Pittsburgh 4th

Clean sweep.

QB comparison:

Passer Rating: Rodgers 94.8, Stroud 92.9
QBR: Rodgers 44.1, Stroud 62.4
PFF: Rodgers 68.7, Stroud 72.1

Stats …bah humbug.

We were the first 6th seed team in NFL history to win the Super Bowl.
This year we will be the first team in NFL history with the worst regular season stats to win a Super Bowl!

Can't trust AI, sorry. Crap in....crap out!

"The Return of T.J. Watt: After missing three games with a lung issue, his return last night "ignited" the team. He and Alex Highsmith (8.5 sacks) are the most dangerous edge-rushing duo in the playoffs."

That is complete crap.

HOU
Danielle Hunter DE - 15 sacks
Will Anderson Jr. DE - 12 sacks

Let's at least be honest. While I want to ride this wave into the Divisional round, trust me I do, but there will be hurdles ahead. They corners that suck up INT's and Nico Collins is no joke, that kid can catch. You can't put Queen on Collins and expect to live another week.
One thing that I noticed, and feel is worth mentioning, is that their pass rush really only seems to be those two players. I don’t believe another player had more than 3.5 sacks. Granted, not sure about individual pressures, but Rodgers has been cooking in the no huddle/up tempo. If we can wear them out, and keep rhythm with the up tempo stuff, I think it’ll help negate Anderson/Hunter.

I'm not very scared of the Texans. Of course we could lose or get blown out, but they seem like the type of team we typically match up well against.

Continuing on with the Houston schedule, here are their road games. The first part of their season was tough, started 0-3.

@Rams L 14-9
@Jaguars L 17-10
@Ravens W 44-10
@Seahawks L 27-19
@Titans W 16-13
@Colts W 20-16 (with Daniel Jones)
@Chiefs W 20-10 (with Patrick Mahomes)
@Chargers W 20-16 (with Justin Herbert) - 5 sacks against Herbert

They can definitely play on the road, against good QB's. I believe this game comes down to A-Aron. Rodgers hasn't had a pick since November, is he now due a pick, or two? Possibly, but someone that is very careful and has quick pass releases is exactly who you want playing against this defense.

I believe strong defensive teams win in the playoffs, so if we match Houston's defensive intensity, and Rodgers protects the ball, we win.

Here is my huge prediction, if we beat the HOU Texans this week, we can reach the SB.

If they stop our run and bubble screens, gave over. That's all we have for most of the game, with the occasional deeper shot downfield.
