This win feels real empty, doesnt it?

It makes the point that Diver’s “bullsh*t” comment was…..bullsh*t. You and him are the minority, as always. And let’s face it, though positivity is great, being over positive where it is absurd is just gaslighting. That’s you.
Your post was bullshiit. The Steelers didn't win the game, the Ravens lost it is just nonsense. What are you basing that off of? If you say because they missed a field goal, well, they got pretty damn lucky that they could have won it with a field goal with Boz missing the extra point. The Steelers didn't get any cheap points in that game. They earned every one. There wasn't any glaring penalty that benefited the Steelers. Look, I know you are pissed off at Tomlin and the whole situation. That is completely fair. But the Steelers won that game.

One little discrepancy though. It wasn’t the fact that Boz missed it. It was discovered later that the kick was deflected by Raven who got past our blocking.
Boz wouldn’t be the one to blame had we lost.

Huh. I just saw that. Still, the Steelers made the plays to win that game.

There’s a holier than though attitude and arrogance from many of the Tomlin Defenders-kinda like coming into a thread and telling people how they should feel about that game

Sometimes it’s intentional and sometimes it’s not.

I don’t count SteelerInLebanon as one of the guys trying to come off with an air of superiority, he will passionately defend all things black and gold, he’s a good dude

There is a saying in politics..."Accuse them of what you are doing."

Nice analogy professor, you’re so smart…you just proved my point….

by the way @diver please grace me with your brilliance…which politician or group of politicians said “accuse them of what you are doing”

I won’t mention politics again mods but it goes to my point about him and his attitude here and he brought it up

You wanna run to the mods? Hahaha. What are you, 14? Wah, wah, I don't like his attitude! Make him go away!

Your temper tantrums, name calling and crude comments are prime examples of "attitude and arrogance." Yet you accuse others of it.

I also have never told you to go root for another team. I did question if you wanted the Steelers to win on Sunday. I stand by that. Your rage at people who were happy...after a Steeler victory, and your seemingly lack of any joy over it, seems to support that. I understand the history and don't blame people at all who are reluctant to get all excited about the Steelers and the playoffs, but for that game Sunday night, to not enjoy that, what the hell is point of being a fan?

The idea of accusing others of what you are doing is a common tactic in political discourse. It is also called accusation in a mirror. It is not attributable to one person.

Nice diversion again…it’s you that came on this thread and crapped all over people…we all see it, you do it all the time

I bet you got onto Google and realized you cant say who said “accuse them of what you’re doing” because no one said it of course, it’s attributed to Marx but you quickly learned that’s wrong

I bet you heard that watching your 30 minutes of cable news and thought you’d repeat it to make yourself look smart like all of your other dumb antidotes to antagonize the 90% of us fed up with Tomlin but of course you’re a straight up moron and the more you talk here the dumber you look

While you wipe the egg off your face I’ll leave you with a real quote that fits you perfectly:

“Better to be silent and be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt.”

We’ve all taken dumps more intelligent than you🤣🤣🤣🤣

I didn't read through all 7 pages of this thread but as fans, we still have a Ben hangover. None of games that involved Ben were the same, he found crazy ways to win games and lose games but it was always exciting. The games now seem to have the same MO, the plan is boring, no real play makers and a Jekyll and Hyde defense. I always said that I was going to miss Ben when he retired, I just didn't realize how much fun he made watching Steeler football. There won't be another like him, at least, in my lifetime.
Polamalu on D, Ben on O. Greatest entertainment ever.

So at game time he goes for a 3 hour drive to get away from it?

Exactly. Dude lives in Oakland but due to the 3-hour drive every Steelers game, he finishes the season in Oakland, California.

Gracias…

That would be me…
Hey at least you own telling 90% of the posters here who want Tomlin gone to go root for another team. I’ll give you that, it easily makes you the biggest *** here tho

And you’ve stopped posting all your thoughts in CAPS, so you’ve got that going for you too!

Let's put all this in a better perspective.

I was at the game. Best Steeler game I've ever attended! So glad we made the last minute decision to go!

But at half time in the restroom, there was loud agreement that the "fire Tomlin" chants would probably start in the third quarter. I agreed.

It was a playoff game and the Steelers got down 7 points on the opening drive, another 3 early in the second, and ran the ball up the middle for almost no gain on first down a few times. Then the single field goal for two possessions near the goal line......the discontent in the stadium was very palpable.

Then came that incredible 4thQ. Huge mistakes by both teams in the last 9 minutes alone!
3 blown coverages for quick TDs, and two missed kicks.....NONE of those happen on most days in the NFL.

It could have gotten ugly for our Steelers. Borrowing Troy Polamalu's words " but it didn't happen that way."

Instead there was great joy!
Great Joy!

This was well summarized by Kevin, the well known Tomlin critic:

That says it all!

GO STEELERS!

Pot meet kettle.
You are the dude that was cheering on the Rats in week 17.

I know I feel a little better about the Steelers chances in the playoffs knowing they are not limping in on a losing streak.

I took the “Find another team” button out of my signature a few months ago….

I’ve lost a couple steps…I was more of an *** when I was drinking…

I have to pick my spots to be annoying…

If we win Monday, it’s on….Deal?

What would one playoff win do to absolve the last 9 years of futility? Is that how low your standards are for Tomlin-one first round win?

If you’re as old as I think you are (and I am) you know that wouldn’t have satisfied the team or the fans 10, 20, 30 years ago.

I totally expect if we win Monday the Tomlin fan club to be strutting around here Tuesday saying we’re all idiots and haters and half to forever shut up about getting rid of Tomlin, which would prove my point about the futility of him and this era of Steeler football.

If they win Monday I’ll be happy, but one playoff win won’t absolve Tomlin of the past 9 years of postseason futility, but you knock yourself out Tuesday and be as irritating as you want.

If they make the AFC Championship game or better I’ll come here and happily eat crow on my criticism of him-that would mean 2 playoff wins over quality teams in the postseason environment and a return to being an elite team.

If they lose Monday night and go a 9th full season without winning a playoff game will you come here and eat crow for calling us all haters and admit Tomlin has failed again?

That's exactly it, it's been such an embarrassingly pathetic post season losing streak, "historic" even, now just 1 playoff win and suddenly everyone would be content and happy, and say well that's progress, that erases everything that's happened over the past 9 seasons. When in reality it's not. The craziest thing is, Tomlin's ineptness in Cleveland actually created all this buzz in favor of him. If they just beat a 3-12 team like everyone else, the Baltimore game means nothing, but since we LOST to the lowly Browns, the win over Baltimore has given Tomlin all of this credit for some reason.

I've never understood that line of thinking. Any season they don't win it all is a disappointment. They aren't a young and upcoming team, so not winning it all is a missed opportunity and should be viewed as such.

I'm not giving Tomlin credit for anything. It was just a fun game and a fun win and gives us a chance to see if they can do anything with it.

Not you necessarily, but alot of fans calling into the radio are saying his option should be picked up, saying the Ravens game was basically a playoff game, etc, even if we lose to Houston.
