I have no idea what this team will look like next season, but Smith and Austin need to be gone as well as Rodgers. Would love to see them bring in Malik Willis and let him and Howard battle it out and draft a wild card qb in round 3 or 4.

You know knowing how diehard fanatical I am, I feel empathy for every fan that had to suffer through this embarrassing coaching outcome.

There is nothing entertaining about the product they are putting out there.

Very disappointing to see that the owners don’t care enough to make a change.

The fans especially our plethora of diehards here deserve better.

Lol let's not kid ourselves, Malik Willis looks good in Green Bay because he has one of the more quarterback-friendly head coaches AND offensive staffs in the NFL in Green Bay. I can only imagine what a nightmare his presence would likely turn into with our coaching staff. And for the record, I dont ever see Will Howard doing jack diddly fiking squat here, either.

If Malik Willis has other options apart from the Steelers, Raiders and Jets, surely he would take another option.
 
Is this true for people who attend the games? Are the crowds lame now? If so is it because fans are just expecting a let down?

With Tomlin, Willis would be a disaster. If Tomlin leaves and they hire Stefanski, then a guy like Willis gets real interesting.

As for Howard, people should look up his crappy numbers with Kansas State before his 1 year at OSU throwing to Jeremiah Smith, Emeka Ebuka, and Carnel Tate, with Treyveon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins at RB.

The crowds are not the same as the 2000s and it’s because of low expectations. However, if that video is from tonight she is clueless. First, you’re a clown (the person in the video) if you think fans should scream while the Steelers are on offense. The crowd was absolutely a playoff crowd tonight and as long as possibly. The Texans just beat the enthusiasm out of the fans and the Steelers did nothing to rebuild it.

Amanda is a social media influencer. She is just another person who tries to get a rise for attention. Not sure she believes most of the crap she throws out there.
 
Initial Thought:
Win 9 or 10 regular season games. Get stomped in the first round of the playoffs while trailing by at least 21 points in the game. Rinse and repeat.

Other Thoughts:
1) The defense played well enough to win, but in the end, getting outgained 408 to 175 just shows how far apart these teams really are. You can't keep expecting the D to perform while the offense is going 2-14 on third downs and putting them right back on the field.
2) Joey Porter had another good game. He played excellently down the stretch.
3) The passes behind the line of scrimmage were confounding all year, but tonight was laughable. Gainwell can only make so many defenders miss, and the Texans are a sound tackling team. Houston knew what was coming, and they absolutely choked off the Steelers' short passing game. Rodgers had 4.4 YPA. Pathetic.
4) DK Metcalf was invisible after his drop. I don't know the exact particulars of the suspension's affect on his contract, but the evidently the Steelers will continue to pay this guy his $45 million in guaranteed money. They could have been off the hook for it, and his cap hit skyrockets from $11 to $31 mill next year. He's just not worth it.
5) Please God, let there be some how, some way that MT is not offered yet another contract extension. I'm begging you.

And also the Steelers make decisions on Co-ordinators and position coaches and soon. With at least 8 new head coaches to be appointed, there will probably be a run on co-ordinators and position coaches as newly appointed head coaches make changes.

Last season we only had a SB winning qb. At the time the "missing" piece. Then the fg post got most back to.... multiple mvp winning SB winner was the "missing" piece. Maybe we need to get some HOFer to come out of retirement who's resume includes multiple MVPs....and now multiple SB wins. Should a short list.

Get it done Omar. Time is a ticking on Tomlin's contract. Get HIM the "missing" piece.

Doubtful if any of our co-ordinators/coaches get let go if they have any years on their contact. What are the status of them? Rooney has turned cheap. I remember always making fun about the Bengles and their owner Brown being cheap.
 
Where to start! The offensive was a complete embarrassment! Again! The hires paid defense in the league was an embrassment.. again! Arthur smiths play calling an embarrassment… again! The receivers? Yep an embrassment… again! The Steelers yep an embrassment!
