May as well get the discussion started.

Personally, I'm not married to the idea of an offensive-oriented coach, though that would be my preference.

I dont think they'll look to the college ranks, but you never know.

Bring in a head coach that can be conductor of the orchestra. A coach that can bring discipline back to the team, assemble a coaching staff and coordinators that are the best at what they do. This team needs to find and establish an identity and that comes from the top down.

Coaching professional athletes and coaching college kids is exponentially different. Very few great college coaches have had great success at the NFL level.

Randel El and Townsend... both are assistant head coaches in the NFL right now..

My vote is Jesse Minter. The last time we hired a former Chargers DC to be HC it turned out reasonably well

I started thinking Clint Kubiak several weeks ago, that would be huge...but also offensive minded and that isn't what we do.

It will be some secondary, or LB, coach on a team with a good defense.
