A lot of the money that was promised to build factories and plants will now be eliminated. Yay for democrats. I hope your constituents like the unemployment line. But...they do.

Last month, Trump had warned that a high court ruling striking down the tariffs would force the government to refund “many Hundreds of Billions of Dollars, and that doesn’t include the amount of ‘payback’ that Countries and companies would require for the investments they are making on building Plants, Factories and Equipment, for the purpose of being able to avoid the payment of Tariffs. When these investments are added, we are talking about Trillions of Dollars! … if the Supreme Court rules against the United States of America on this National Security bonanza, WE’RE SCREWED!”
 
I might have heard him wrong. It's 10% across the board effective immediately and then using other statutes the original tariffs will be put back in place.

Trump taking questions: "No, not you. I don't talk to CNN. They're fake news."

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, they instituted the tariffs under the wrong statue..
Whoever is making those types of legal decisions, constitutional legal decisions, needs to be removed and replaced immediately.

I don't know. The way he did it made sense to me. I think the court just got this wrong.
 
so, ummm, since Trump just got told that he cannot use his tariff plan as constructed, why doesn't he have his staff draft legislation enabling his tariff scheme for the Republican majority House and Republican majority Senate to pass?

Since this SCOTUS decision was widely predicted, why didn't his people get working on this many months ago? That would be more like 4D chess than hurling invectives at the same SCOTUS judges that he nominated and got all kinds of support for. Congress supported his nominations; they have to support his tariffs, right?
