Iran

It seems intelligence reports are saying 2/3rds of Iran's missile launchers survived along with 50% of their drone capabilities. We also barely touched their coastal defense missiles. If these assessments are correct then what exactly have we been doing? Dropping missiles for show?

The 2-week war enters its sixth month ... can we agree that the attacks on Iran have been disastrous?

Iran still has its extremist religious leaders running the nation, still controls the strait of Hormuz, still has nuclear capabilities (despite the claims in June 2025 that the "devastating" attacks on the nation's nuclear facilities had eviscerated those capabilities), gas is $4.30 per gallon, inflation is ramping up to 3.8%, and the United States is no better, indeed it is much worse, than it was in May of 2025.

It hasn't been three months yet, I drive a Tesla and inflation was 9.1 under Biden.

Man, Netanyahu has been saying Iran is just weeks or just months away from building a nuke for decades. And we keep falling for it apparently. It’s time cut ties with the entire Middle East including Israel. For the money we give them we sure don’t get much out of it.

Tens of billions to Israel since 1948, for what exactly? Israel has such a great military, technology and counter-intelligence, let it defend itself.

Started mid-February, now late May so 3.5 months and counting. What in the world makes you think this Middle East conflict will end any time soon? Did we learn NOTHING from Iraq and Afghanistan?? The Middle East is the La Brea tar pits and the United States is a dumb brontosaurus, confident it can get that leaf and not get stuck.

And the fact Trump is not as bad as Biden is not what I was expecting in November, 2024. Can we set the bar just a tad higher?
 
Gas prices suck, but that is not my main problem with the iran war. my issue is we do not seem to have a plan. We can target and take out individuals, but after countless bombing runs and $$ we can't eliminate drones and missile launchers. Iran's main bargaining chip is the straight and we basically did nothing militarily to control it initially. We did not even target the coastal defenses. I do not understand the plan or strategy. Now we are stuck.. It has been a ridiculous waste of time, resources and lives.

I'm not so ready to admit that the reports about the failed military action, are true. The media hates Trump and is known to lie and exaggerate to make him look bad.

The real problem is that to Eliminate the bad guys a lot of innocence would be affected. Bad optics. Any enemy of the US knows that the longer they can drag it out they win.

True, but these are supposedly intelligence reports. Also based on past history, aka we had supposedly obliterated their nuclear program only to be told it was now an imminent threat. It is honestly hard to say what is true and not at this point

But it’s not the media (this time). This is our intelligence assessments. And I kind of agree with $50. If they have a plan or even a concept of a plan, they’re not acting like it. This whole military engagement was dumb.

We can set the bar as high as we want, but the administration has to live up to that. And there are a ton of folks that will support Trump no matter what he says or does, so there’s little chance they will.

Don’t misunderstand, Trump has done some good, even this time around. When it comes to this Iran thing, he’s all over the place. I don’t get it.

Part of the reason I support him like I do is because the alternatives are beyond abysmal. He screws up, he does great. He is what he is.

Not a chance the bar fly was worth poop on a stick.

It makes voting easy, and depressing. I told anyone who would listen that the choice was obvious, so I held my nose and voted the only choice a rational person could make. Trump.

I get it, because I’m in the same boat. My issue is the people that never take issue with anything. Trump, no matter what he does or says is right and just and there is no other way to see it. You’re a commie libtard if you think anything else. To me that’s the problem.

I’ve voted for Trump three times, only because the alternative is nothing I can in good conscience vote for. This term of Trump’s has actually made me question my vote for the first time ever, mainly because of the Iran nonsense and the Epstein files.

There’s no reason not to release the Epstein files in full, and there’s no reason to be in this bullshiit with Iran.
