Multiple attacks in Paris, at least 18 dead

President Trump!

Governors refuse to accept Syrian refugees

The governors — in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin — were reacting to Friday’s attacks in Paris and the possibility that Syrian refugees seeking resettlement in the United States might include people with terrorist ties.

I'd rather have 1000 Mexican refugees for 1 ME person. At least I would know my taxes aren't going to fund killing me.

This still goes back to my question how males 18-40 are "refugees" in a civil war?

When our country was in a civil war, if you were male ages 18-40 you picked a side and fought for what you believed in. You didn't tuck tail and run to Canada.

I'm all for being fair and human to women and children and old people fleeing civil war. Open up the borders, question them and help them if we can. When I see boatloads of 20-something males, when I see "rock bands" from Syria land in Greece, I don't quite understand how you qualify as a "refugee" or how you are "persecuted". I see someone taking the easy way out and giving up on their country.

Perhaps the Americans caught in the Civil War were able to fight because of the Second Amendment?

You think Syria wold have fallen so easily if every home had a few guns? It's a lot easier to be persecuted when you have no means to defend yourself.

I agree oneforthebus. But I think more than anything, the biggest threat currently is from ISIS symphatizers/agents that are already here and have been living in the country for years. Much like the Paris attacks, where the terrorists had been living in France and Belgium for decades. The common denominator? Travel to and from Syria/Iraq since ISIS came to power. Those are the people I'd be focusing on, people that have left Western countries to travel there, to then return, not neccesarily the refugees that are fleeing...

A couple of quick facts on refugees, fyi:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...hpid=hp_no-name_opinion-card-a:homepage/story

● Rather than Trump’s male-heavy flood of 250,000 coming to the United States, only 2,200 Syrians have been admitted in the past four years (10,000 are expected over the next year) and 70 percent have been either women or children under age 14.

● The situation here is “entirely different” from Europe, where Syrian refugees are flooding across borders. Here, an ocean away from the conflict, they aren’t admitted until they are vetted for at least 18 months.

● No terrorist incident has ever been traced to somebody admitted through the American refugee resettlement program.

● A plurality of refugees admitted to the United States from all destinations are Christian. A disproportionate number of refugees from Iraq admitted to the United States have been Christian. And while most — but not all — of the Syrian refugees so far are Muslim, this makes sense because “it’s a mostly Muslim country and most of the victims are Muslim.”

Why are you so darned anxious to bring these refugees here? Just curious...let me ask you this...would you want a couple dozen of them moving into an apartment building next door to your kids' school or your local movie theater or mall? Would you want to be the governor who let the next Tsarnaev brother in while dozens of others turned him away? It's really easy to say we should be generous and welcoming in the abstract.

Look, you can't deny that large numbers of people from that region, whether they are violent jihadists or not, absolutely hate Americans and everything we stand for. Why can't someone else take them in, someone who many of them do not view as the enemy?

Syrian Muslim Refugees Bring "Culture of Rape and Violence" to Germany
"Misunderstanding" is the new Orwellian term for Muslim rape
September 27, 2015 | Daniel Greenfield

Well it is their culture. Who are we to possibly judge it? Doesn't the Koran say, "Your women are your fields, so go into your fields whichever way you like".

In the case highlighted yesterday, around 5,000 asylum seekers have been crammed into old US military bases in Giessen, western Germany. A letter addressed to the Minister of Integration and Social Affairs in the state of Hesse, where the centre is based, from four women’s organisations described a ‘culture of rape and violence’.

The letter, written on August 18, stated: ‘It is a fact that women and children are unprotected. This situation is opportune to those men who already regard women as their inferior and treat unaccompanied women as “fair game”. As a consequence, there are reports of numerous rapes, sexual assaults and increasingly of forced prostitution. These are not isolated incidents.’

Women were often too afraid to walk around the camp even during the day, volunteers claimed, while some victims are too terrified to report sexual assaults by the men.

Just imagine how safe it will be to walk around Hamburg or Berlin when a million of these "refugees" are walking the streets under the influence of a religion that says non-Muslim women are fair game.

This is how they treat their own women. Imagine how they treat non-Muslim women whom their culture tells them are prostitutes who have no honor and no worth.

Controversially, the letter suggests that in the migrants’ culture, women are viewed differently: ‘It is a fact that women and children are unprotected. This situation is opportune for those men who already regard women as their inferiors and treat unaccompanied women as “fair game”.’

And they consider all European women to be "unaccompanied".

Police in the Bavarian town of Mering, where a 16-year-old girl was reportedly raped this month, have warned parents not to allow their children outside unaccompanied.

Girls and women have been told not to walk home alone from the railway station because it is near a migrant centre where the rapist may live.

At Pocking, another well-kept Bavarian town, the headmaster of the grammar school wrote to parents telling them not to let their daughters wear skimpy clothing. This was to avoid ‘misunderstandings’ with 200 migrants who were put up in the school’s gymnasium over the summer, before being moved on this month.

The letter to parents said the migrants were ‘mainly Muslim, and speak Arabic. They have their own culture. Because our school is directly next to where they are staying, modest clothing should be warn... revealing tops or blouses, short skirts or miniskirts could lead to misunderstandings.’

"Misunderstanding" is the new Orwellian term for Muslim rape. How many "misunderstandings" will promoters of Muslim migration have on their hands before the year is out?

How many of these "misunderstandings" will have to be covered up to avoid the native population misunderstanding the peaceful nature of these migrants? Or would that actually be an "understanding"?

Some of you may have swerved into a Ms Barnhardt, she the little hand grenade with the pink AR. She always brings a refreshing clarity to matters on which she opines.

Take islam, for example.

Cut the Crap: The problem is islam, and it has to be exterminated. Period.

So, a little review for those of you who may be new.

1. Islam is a political system, NOT a religion, and unless and until humanity wakes the hell up and STOPS referring to it as a religion, there is no hope. Islam is a hyper-aggressive, militaristic, expansionist, totalitarian political system designed to create a super-rich micro-oligarchical ruling class with a massive, destitute, genetically handicapped underclass below. The paper-thin faux-religious facade was a conscious, specific con from the very beginning – much like Mormonism and Scientology – a pure racket using borrowed and piggy-backed religious motifs to lend credibility to a massive, loosely-knit network of crime syndicate cells.

Here is a quote from Osama bin Laden that sums it all up:
“Our talks with the infidel West and our conflict with them ultimately revolve around one issue; one that demands our total support, with power and determination, with one voice, and it is: Does Islam, or does it not, force people by the power of the sword to submit to its authority corporeally if not spiritually? Yes. There are only three choices in Islam: [1] either willing submission [conversion]; or [2] payment of the jizya, through physical, though not spiritual, submission to the authority of Islam; or [3] the sword, for it is not right to let him [an infidel] live. The matter is summed up for every person alive: Either submit, or live under the suzerainty of Islam, or die.”
–Osama Bin Laden (The Al Qaeda Reader, p. 42)

Definition of suzerainty: a situation in which a region or people is a compulsory tributary to a more powerful entity, which controls its foreign affairs while allowing the tributary vassal state internal autonomy.

Please note that the quote above makes perfectly clear that islam DOES NOT CARE IF YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE ANY OF THEIR FAUX-RELIGIOUS BULLSHIT OR NOT – BECAUSE THAT’S NOT THE POINT. All that matters is EARTHLY submission and control of landmass. All of that five-times-per-day sticking one’s butt in the air while some bisexual shrieks about a non-existent pagan moon deity over a loudspeaker is not “prayer”. It is an outward sign of submission to the musloid political system. NOTHING more. It’s a gang signal. It’s a salute.

Islam isn’t about “allah” or “paradise” or “prayer” or “spirituality” or how human beings should relate to one another or how human beings should relate to a “god” or the eternal fate of the human soul. THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT ANY OF THAT. Islam is about acquiring physical, earthly territory and installing a totalitarian government over the earth that provides a cadre of “elites” masquerading as some sort of “clergy” with massive decadent wealth and as much twisted perverted sex as they want, including homosexual and heterosexual pedohilia, ephebophilia, concubinage, incest, bestiality and necrophilia. There is nothing new under the sun. They want power, they want money and they want sex. The “religious” aspects are a stone-cold con, which Bin Laden himself declared in no uncertain terms.

2. They can’t be reasoned with. They can’t be dialogued with. There is no such thing as “radical islam”. There is islam, which is even more bloodthirsty, conscienceless and perverse than what we are seeing today. We cannot possibly imagine what they would do if given true carte-blanche. Islam today is like an eleven year old boy – just BARELY on the cusp of puberty, just BEGINNING to test the waters. These beheadings, rapes, suicide attacks and terror operations are BUSH LEAGUE. Just as it is nonsensical and depraved to refer to Nazis as “radical Nazis” and “moderate Nazis” – as if ANY Nazism could ever be considered acceptable, so it is with islam. This is why Egyptian president Sisi’s recent speech calling for a “reformation” of islam is nonsense. All Sisi’s speech did was confirm that Sisi himself doesn’t actually believe any of it, and instead of doing the morally correct thing and renouncing islam, Sisi wants to have his pancakes and eat them too. He wants everyone – like him – to subscribe to and associate themselves with something that they don’t actually believe in or take seriously. (How very Pope Francis of him.) Well, you can pour maple syrup on a puddle of bloody, diarrhetic hogshit all you want, but it will never, ever be pancakes.

(Editor's note: Would that our, er, leaders had such clarity.)

Oh, and as Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan said : “There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it”. He, the PM of the country that slaughtered 2.2 million Christians in the 1920s, would know.

Like Obama, the Hildebeest still can't put 'radical' and 'Islamic' together or 'Islamic' and 'extremist'. Heard the audio of this yesterday. Pathetic how she evaded the question.

Liberal morons like these two aren't even aware that every time they utter name of this radical extremist terrorist group ISIS, the first letter of this acronym stands for 'ISLAMIC'.
That other idiot Bernie Sanders says we need to reach out to Islamic leaders to help stop terrorism...WTF??? Do they not know whats going on? If we must "reach out" then it only means they don't give a ****.

This situation may finally be resolved if and when Putin backs away from Assad and joins the fight against ISIS.

Russia 'launches cruise missiles' at Isis stronghold of Raqqa in Syria

Vladimir Putin has pledged to escalate his military campaign in Syria after it was confirmed that a bomb brought down a Russian airliner over Sinai

The Russian military has fired multiple cruise missiles from its ships in the Mediterranean aimed at the Isis stronghold of Raqqa, according to reports.

US officials were quoted by the Reuters news agency as saying Russia had launched a "significant number" of strikes in Syria using both sea-launched cruise missiles and long-range bombers.

The French daily Le Monde cited senior French government officials as saying Russian missiles had struck Isis positions in Raqqa, its de facto capital in its Syrian territories.

According to reports, Russian officials gave their US counterparts notice ahead of the strikes, in a sign of closer cooperation between the two states after talks between Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama at the G20 summit.

Videos showing alleged cruise missiles flying and crashed in Syria appeared across social media on Tuesday, though their provenance could not be immediately verified.

Russia has vowed to escalate its military campaign in Syria after it was confirmed the airliner which crashed in Sinai was brought down by a bomb.

"Our military work in Syria must not only continue," Mr Putin said. "It must be strengthened in such a way so that the terrorists will understand that retribution is inevitable."

This guy gets it. As their caliphate gets squashed, they will shift resources in efforts to damage
those countries they believe are responsible for defeating them.

Yeah he "gets it"....... The more you fight ISIS, the more of a target you become — and ISIS won't leave you alone until you leave it alone. Laughably stupid.

As with all the other bullshit President Obama (and for the most part, every President over the last 25 years), none of them FOLLOW THE LAW.

We have laws for Refugees:

http://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-asylum/refugees.

If what Obama is proposing circumvents these rules for refugees and asylum, **** him. There are no "special circumstances". We have laws. If the laws aren't good enough, congress has to change the laws.

This is same ******* issue as immigration. Follow the laws on the books. If we can't (i.e. don't have the resources or money), then change the ******* laws. Don't give me bullshit answers like Presidential powers and congress sitting on their hands. Work together and come up with something that works.

Kinda like gun laws then?

oneforthebus, I think the larger point is there are plenty of ISIS supporters already in the US, much like these EU citizens that carried out the attacks in Paris. This frenzy over Syrian refugees is simply missing the point. Refer to the ISIS support chart I posted earlier in this thread. The US based tweets rank top five worldwide. The percieved threat from Syrian refugees should not take precedence over the real threat of those that align themselves with ISIS already in the country and in the EU.

Maybe, maybe not. I think the hysteria over these particular refugees is misguided. I'd argue the wide majority of them are fleeing the same terrorists everyone is fearful of letting in. It's akin to Trump wanting to build the giant wall to keep out illegals all the while the majority of them don't even cross over on foot. There are so many potential terrorists already in the country, and entering via airports every day, it's a false pretense to think we're keeping ourselves safe by focusing on refugees fleeing a war-torn country. I do agree the Syrian refugees - all refugees - need to be vetted. I don't support simply letting everyone through. But America and the West has always been a haven for war refugees, and changing that changes the fabric of the country altogether. It's also a cheap and easy form of fear mongering.

Correct. They should be vetted. There should be background checks, they should not be let in en masse. I agree with all of that. But I also disagree with the notion of categorically rejecting all refugees en masse because of some perceived threat. Heck, if you want to go down that road all travel to the U.S. should be halted immediately. Think of all the "vetted" visitors that come through our airports every day, from Saudi Arabia or the EU, or any other country. All of the terrorists that carried out the Paris attacks were free to come to the US with their French and Belgium passports. Basically anyone can have a potential ISIS connection, again, including American and Canadien citizens. Think of the 911 sleeper cells et al, none of those ******* were so called "refugees" they waltzed right in. So my point is the bluster over the Syrian refugees is disingenuous and misleading.

Too late about the one's already here......the enemy is inside the gate. Allowing more potential monsters in is senseless.

That's exactly what's happening, hence Paris. The president is handling it exactly as it should be handled: special forces and air strikes.

Although It is fascinating reading the paranoid ramblings of the CONservative posters on here. Lol

I was listening to a CONservative radio host this morning and he was actually telling his nutter Reich wing audience to calm down and keep it in perspective. His words were to the effect of; " By the end of this year 300 people will be killed in traffic accidents in Iowa, and 2000 children in the u.s.will die of cancer".

He then went on to say he wasn't minimizing the deaths in Paris, just telling the nutters to stop and think. Something very foreign to them I'm sure.

Speaking of which:

Again as I stated in an earlier post you are 20 times more likely to be killed by lightning as an American citizen than to be killed by Isis on American soil

Oh, and about 400,000 people a year die because of climate change.......

We will add 250,000 more a year starting around 2030, but hey we need to put all our focus on a few goat molesters running around with ak-47's

This is the best thing that could have happened for the Republicans running for president and the media is complicit in helping them..,... if it bleeds it leads

See the thing about lightning strikes is people have enough sense to take precautions against them......not standing in an open field holding a metal rod aloft is kind of on the same thought pattern as not letting people sworn to kill you into your country.

Oh, and I laugh heartily at your accusation of the media "helping" republicans.

In my view, now is the time for developing a serious and effective approach to destroy ISIS. Now is not the time for taking cheap political advantage of this tragedy. Now is the time – as President Obama is trying to do – to unite the world in an organized campaign against ISIS that will eliminate the stain of ISIS from this world.

But let me also say that now is not the time for demagoguery and fear mongering. What terrorism is about is trying to instill terror and fear into the hearts of people. And we will not let that happen. We will not be terrorized or live in fear. During these difficult times, we will not succumb to Islamophobia. We will not turn our backs on the refugees who are fleeing Syria and Afghanistan. We will do what we do best and that is be Americans – fighting racism, fighting xenophobia, fighting fear.

Breaking: Syrian ‘Refugee’ Already MISSING IN LOUISIANA

Jim Hoft Nov 17th, 2015 7:59 am 183 Comments

LA Syrian Refugee
Liberals continue to tell us the “vetting process” for refugees is under control. They insist the federal government is monitoring every Syrian once they make it to America.
But, of course, that’s a total fallacy.

Take a look at what just happened in Louisiana.
One Syrian is on the loose–
The Hayride reports:

At least one Syrian refugee that was in the process of resettling in the Baton Rouge area has already gone missing, according to a report by WBRZ.

Here’s what WBRZ posted to Facebook today:

wbrz syrian refugees
As reported earlier by the Hayride, there are another 7 Syrian refugees in Kenner and 6 more in the New Orleans area.

The news may seem alarming that neither state government nor the federal government track newly-arrived refugees who have just entered the country, but it is actually not uncommon at all.

Hey! Let’s bring in some more!

Don't worry Indy.

FEMA has lots of ammunition for just this sort of thing.

Cruz to introduce bill to bar Syrian refugees

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Sen. Ted Cruz, who has said that the United States should not allow Syrian Muslim refugees into the country but should provide safe haven to fleeing Christians, plans to introduce legislation that would bar Syrian refugees from entering the country.

Cruz (R-Tex.) said after a campaign event here that the legislation is still being drafted and wouldn't offer details of exactly what it would say. According to reports, Cruz told CNN that it would bar Syrian Muslim refugees from entering the United States.

Cruz has said numerous times in the past few days that Muslim refugees from Syria should be resettled in majority Muslim countries in the Middle East while Christian migrants should be allowed to enter the United States.

"There is no meaningful risk of Christians committing acts of terror. If there were a group of radical Christians pledging to murder anyone who had a different religious view than they, we would have a different national security situation," Cruz said Sunday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Abdeslam family, speaking to the Belgian website Het Laatste Nieuws, said they were “surprised” that Ibrahim, who had spent “a long time” in Syria, blew himself up. His mother, Faklan, speaking to a reporter through her nephew (Ibrahim’s cousin) at the family home in Molenbeek, Brussels, said she was sure he hadn’t planned on causing any deaths, noting, “The fact that his bomb belt exploded without killing anyone else says a lot.“

In a story today. Detonates a suicide bomb near a group of people. Didn't mean to kill anyone. In fact, he didn't, but to assume he didn't mean to is pretty ******* stupid.
