The problem, Josh is that one would hope that a bunch of yinzers on a ******* message board weren't actually better qualified to prepare a plan of attack for the offense and defense in the AFC Championship game than our 3 Stooge coaches. Sadly, that appears to NOT be the case.
In fact it looks like Hoodie reads our ******* board. THEY were smart enough to use a ******* flea-flicker.
But not the Steelers coaches. They figured they'd just pound D'Angelo in there without a fullback for ******* kicks.
The lack of a true #2 finally bit us in the ***. This feels like the game where Bryant's suspension ****** us. Sure, there were points during the season, but when we needed someone to make a big play and spark us last night, no one could do it. Eli Rogers had a nice game, but he's a slot guy. Cobi Hamilton, nice story, made some catches for us this year, but is what he is; no more than a fourth option. DHB has been a decent Steeler pick-up, but is a special teams only kinda guy. This brings me to Sammie Coates, the guy many many fans thought would make Bryant expendable. I'd like to give a big "**** you" to Coates. Ben has tried and tried and tried this season to make this guy a star and the dude constantly falls flat on his face. He had damn near 500 receiving yards through 6-7 games, averaging som absurd amount per catch, and did absolutely nothing after that point. I don't wanna hear about his fingers either, because drops have always been this dudes problem. If it wasn't for his somewhat high draft status, I'd say him and Hamilton battle for the 4-5 spot next year. Really, the only difference between him and Sweed is the fact that Coates had one huge game in his career, and to be totally honest, I'll take Sweed blowing up that rats dback in the AFC Championship game over Coates and his garbage.
