Will have to beat Brady twice

If we beat them at home and he has to come back here in the playoffs our chances. His career record on the road in the playoffs is 3-4. He hasn't won a playoff game on the road in 10 years.

Our 2 Super Bowl years during Brady's career we never faced him. 2008-2009 Brady was out and the 11-5 Matt Cassel led Patriots did not make the playoffs. In 2010-2011, Mark Sanchez & the Jets took care of the Brady led pats in Foxborough...

To be the best, ya gotta beat the best......BRING THE ACTION!!!!

Of the last 5 Steelers opponents, none have scored more than 17 either (only two scored as much as 17). Sorry, I refuse to join the "Patriots are some unbeatable boogey man" bandwagon. Line 'em up and let's play.

P.S.: On the season, only the Bears (23), Jags (30) and Browns (18) have scored more than 17 points against this Steelers defense.

Didn't the Jags get 2 pick-6's? That puts them at 16 pts against the Steelers D.

You forgot 2005, Denver took care of them.

True, true ... however, the official stats guys count those points from the pick 6's against the defense ... So, I put them in that group. However, you are correct. Only 16 of those points were against the Steelers Defense.

Sure, throwing up the season D stats is good but our D has probably gotten a little worse. We now have a key injury to our secondary and are giving up multiple big plays in every game. But, as I said in my earlier post, the Cheats D sucked balls the first 5 games of the season. The last 5, only one team has made it to 17 points. So, they have figured out how to play D and their O has been unstoppable. And, they know our weaknesses and always exploit them. So, until we beat them when it counts, in the playoffs, stats really don't matter.

PS.. Why is Gronk so good? Sure, he is big but he is slow. He ran somewhere near a 4.8 coming out of college. That means pretty many LB's can keep up with or catch up with him. Heck, Shazier would blow right by him. Just me as cstruck urious because the dude just does not look fast out there on the field. I guess it's good route running and good hands.[/QU

hes hard to tackle and get down, but i see alot of guys go at his knees and its a matter of time before he gets hurt again

i really think we got the best team on paper hands down , bring them on

Its good to be optimistic, but facts are facts. Every year we play the Pats people say the same stuff "we are better than them on paper," "they are declining," "they arent really that good," "this year we will stomp them," "this year is our year," etc etc.......Once the games start we lose over and over and over. Brady's stats against us have been posted numerous times and they are off the charts. I am sure eventually we will beat them then everyone will be like "Ha I told you so!" I guess its great to be right 1 out of 10 times.....

Anyways the bottom line is that of course we can beat them, but unfortunately its going to be up to the defensive coaches and Ben. Offensively I dont think we have to do much different other than take the underneath throws and run the drags and slants use the middle of the field. Defense is the main problem they absolutely have to change it up. Unleashing Harrison may help, but the coverage has to be different. I really hope that they are working on something different instead of the same old stuff. Also what we do in December has to be different than what we do in the playoffs assuming we both make it that far. That is putting alot of faith in the coaching staff which I do not have at this point.

I am not confident that we can sweep our division. This team has surprises around every corner.

Wow, lots of hand wringing and angst here.

One game at a time, and everything else will fall in place.

Oh, and **** the *ats**********

Fortunately as a fan we have the luxury of looking ahead, but I agree. One game at a time. Enjoy the ride!

I need to beat to Brady in December to get him here to have a chance to beat tohim again in January. Like No chance in hell I'd want to miss a beat-ing oppertunity.

Thought that's what you said

We beat a better team than the Raiders on Thursday night by roughly the same margin as the Cheats won by today. We'll beat them at home in December, we've had better success against them at home, even Landry Jones gave them a good game last year. We'll be ready for them this year with Ben and a fully load team. Right now the Cheats are playing easy teams in their schedule.
We will beat them jus be patient and have faith for Steelers

After reading this, I think we are better off forfeiting the regular season game. This way, our guys get an extra week to rest, no one gets hurt and all the vaginas and sphincter here won't get so puckered up.

**** Brady. Twice.

....wait. That doesn't sound right^

Everyone is thinking it,................Just not out loud...............

Lessens the odds that Belicheat sees what we've got and gameplans against it the second game.

1. If we lose to the Pats***** in the regular season and they get home field in the playoffs, we cannot win in Foxboro.
2. If we win and have home field in the playoffs, there is no way we can beat them twice in one season.
Therefore....
3. We're ****** either way.
