North Korea Summit: Jimmy Carter Says Trump Deal Nobel Prize Worthy

“If President Trump is successful in getting a peace treaty that’s acceptable to both sides with North Korea, I think he certainly ought to be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize”

Jared Kushner Gets Security Clearance

WASHINGTON — Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and adviser, has been granted his permanent security clearance, a person briefed on the matter said on Wednesday, ending a period of uncertainty that had fueled questions about whether Mr. Kushner was in peril in the special counsel investigation.

Mr. Kushner’s clearances were approved by career officials after the completion of the F.B.I. background check and that the president was not involved in the process.

Democrats won't get data on Trump campaign intelligence source

WASHINGTON — Democrats will be shut out of a White House-brokered meeting during which Justice Department officials will tell two House GOP chairmen about an intelligence source who provided information about President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign

“The individuals that are expected to attend are Chairman Nunes, Chairman Gowdy, FBI Director Wray, [Director of National Intelligence Dan] Coats, and DOJ official Ed O’Callaghan,” she said, referring to House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes., R-Calif., and House Government and Oversight Reform Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.

Things are so terrible that America was the world’s top petroleum, natural gas producer in 2017

In case you’re growing tired of waking up every morning and checking social media or reading the Washington Post and hearing about how awful everything is these days, how about some good news?

The U.S. Energy Information Administration has finished compiling all of the production numbers for last year and determined that America was the global leader in production of both petroleum and natural gas.

So this is one thing we call get behind and find a bipartisan reason to celebrate, right? Well… not everyone.

A group of House Democrats introduced legislation Tuesday that would block oil and natural gas drilling in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). The bill from Reps. Jared Huffman (D-Calif.), Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.) and others would reverse Congress’s decision last year to approve drilling in a portion of ANWR, which was included as part of the Republican tax overhaul.

Seriously? Just as we finally have the upper hand on Russia, OPEC and everyone else, taking control of our own destiny and providing untold jobs and investment opportunities, you want to throw cold water all over the news. This, as some of your mothers no doubt told you growing up, is why we can’t have nice things.

Then why is the price of gas going up? President Trump better fix this ****.

More winning in my book. Many here know how against I am the idea of "labor unions vs. the taxpayer" and how obscene an idea it is to the very foundation of why unions were formed in the first place.

This can only help a cause I care a lot about and have been railing against for decades....

Way to go President Trump! Keep up the good work!

I was a more "vote against that scumbag Hillary" person than a real supporter of Trump when I cast my vote, but I'm a true believer in this guy actually doing great things as time goes on. He's really cleaning up some messes in Washington while asserting peace through strength throughout the world and am surprised (quite honestly - I was told he was a buffoon) but feeling good about where we are as a country, and how we're viewed in the world. China has been the biggest thing for me. They've taken advantage of our weak Presidents for years, but that's not happening any longer. It will take some time and concessions on both sides, but that's one of the biggest things IMO and he's getting there. It's obvious this guy is one of the most transparent Presidents that's ever lived but he's slick enough to really hit China where other Presidents never dared to hit, and has done it pretty effectively at this point.

As for the summit, I'm pessimistic about NOKO denuclearizing, as that's been their only real credible thing on the world stage and has been for 3 generations. If this guy somehow get's them to though, wow, I'll dance naked in the streets (Steeltime is my closest neighbor and he's already moved to AZ, so all is good).

President Trump guts union perks, speeds up civil service firings to save $100 million a year

President Trump signed three executive orders Friday containing sweeping reforms that weaken protections for federal workers and eliminate perks for the unions that represent them.

Under the new executive orders, unions will be charged rent for federal office space and will not be reimbursed for travel expenses or for hours spent appealing worker firings.

All federal workers will be ordered to spend 75 percent of their time on government work, and agencies are ordered to publicly post union contracts in an online repository.

PRESIDENT TRUMP AT ANNAPOLIS

president-trump-annapolis.jpg

Academy. He told the incoming naval officers, “you are winners, you are warriors.”

Trump praised the resolve of the U.S. armed forces and America’s achievements, stating:

Our ancestors trounced an empire, tamed a continent and triumphed over the worst evils in history. We are not going to apologize for America. We are going to stand up for America.

This is shameless nationalism. Isn’t it great?

Show me a nation or a people that has prevailed over determined adversaries without this sort of pride in its ancestors and its history.

After his speech, Trump shook the hand of every graduate, more than 1,000 of them. He gave the last one, Marine 2nd Lt. Logan Zenner, a hug.

Trump was well-received in Annapolis. According to the Washington Post, he drew cheers and applause when he entered Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and when he took the stage. His speech drew frequent applause.

Jane Kirkham told the Post that it’s a “huge honor” to have Trump at the graduation. She praised him for taking the time to shake every hand. “We’ll remember [it] for the rest of our lives.”

They aren't helicopters. They are tilt-rotor aircraft. They can be flown like a plane or like a helicopter, depending on the mission requirement.

Trump Slams Dems after Viral Photo of Children in Cages, from Obama's Term, Backfires

President Trump on Tuesday slammed Democrats who shared pictures of child migrants sleeping in cages to knock his immigration policies, only to backtrack after realizing the photos were taken during the Obama administration.

“Democrats mistakenly tweet 2014 pictures from Obama’s term showing children from the Border in steel cages,” Trump tweeted. “They thought it was recent pictures in order to make us look bad, but backfires.”

Trump attacks Democrats at Nashville rally

President Donald Trump on Tuesday accused House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of being an “MS-13 lover” and dismissed a Democratic Senate candidate as a “tool” of Minority Leader Chuck Schumer

President Trump’s visit to Nashville, Tennessee, promoted the Senate candidacy of Rep. Marsha Blackburn, who was expected to face former Gov. Phil Bredesen in the race to replace retiring Republican Sen. Bob Corker. Besides headlining a private fundraiser for Blackburn, he used a public rally to urge supporters not to become “complacent” this fall while Democrats were “sticking together” to block his agenda.

“We need Marsha in the Senate to continue the amazing progress and work that we’ve done over the last year and a half,” Trump said during the rally. “To keep on winning, you have to vote Republican in November.”

PRESIDENT Trump signs 'Right to Try Act' aimed at helping terminally ill patients seek drug treatments

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump signed the "Right to Try Act" Wednesday, a measure aimed at helping terminally ill patients access drug treatments that are yet to be fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Trump, at a White House ceremony surrounded by patients and families who will be affected by the legislation, said his administration "worked hard on this" but said repeatedly he didn't understand why it hadn't been done before.

The bill will give terminally ill patients the right to seek drug treatments that remain in clinical trials and "have passed Phase 1 of the Food and Drug Administration's approval process" but have not been fully approved by the FDA.
