Pirates 2018

Archer better pan out, which he hasn't so far.

The Pirates basically gave the Rays three of their most talented prospects/young players for him.

Gotta get a win this afternoon against the Cubs to split the series. Snapping the five-game losing streak last night was big.

Crazy series. If you had told me the Cubs would score one run in each game, I'd have expected a sweep. Conversely, if you had told me the Bucs would only score 5 runs in the series, I'd have figured they got swept.

Got the win, woot!!

I agree about those numbers, I would have thought the same, too.

The series only get bigger. Atlanta is in town starting tonight for three.

LET'S GO BUCS!!!

How many 1-0 games can a team lose.....wtf?!?

We have too many guys woefully underperforming at the plate. Giving up 5 runs in 5 games and going 2-3 is just plain pathetic.

This off season, keep Searage and fire the rest of the coaching staff including Hurdle.

Archer is getting shelled today.

The trade is not looking good, thus far.

Stick a fork in the Pirates. I hate to say that but I do not see them recovering now.

Rubber match in St. Louis tonight. Would love to see Pittsburgh pay back St. Louis for the series loss last time at Pitt. Still have a prayer the team can finish .500 or better. Need this one.

Hoping to get back to .500 this weekend against Miami. Nice sweep of the Reds. Glad we are kicking their butts this year.

That's true. They have 22 games left before the end of their season. ;)

Next year it will have been 40 years since their last championship. Maybe next year will be their year.

Four in a row. Bucs taking advantage of a soft part of the schedule as they attempt to finish with a winning record, which wouldn't be a bad outcome considering early expectations.

Yep. 12 wins to go for a winning season. I think it is attainable, however, they will have to step it up from here on out.

Got another one. Don't see any way they can play tomorrow though, and it won't be made up. Next 6 games are on the road vs the Cards and Brewers. If they can get a split, a winning season will be within reach.

WTF was Polanco doing last night. No wonder he got hurt. Watch the replay.

On the flip side it will open up PT for the young guys...

On the negative side that young guy should be Meadows...

What a horrible trade..

Everybody was screaming for Nutting to do something. He does something, and now everybody is pissed. At least it wasn't a rent a player trade. The next couple of years will tell whether this was a bad trade.

Since early July Pirate starters have lowest ERA in all of baseball. They pretty much have the pitching staff solved for 2019. It seems they
are settling on Frazier as their 2019 second baseman. They need to solve their whose on SS and 3rd Base in 2019. Their long-term solutions
Tucker SS and Hayes 3rd Base are in AA and likely start 2019 in AAA.
