Honest question:.. what happens if he gets hurt and doesn’t play 6 games?

Seems pretty Ricky to push it that thin...

He should show up and get a few games in.
 
I would think that wouldn't matter if it was minor and he was on the active roster. I am not even sure a IR would effect the equation.

I think your story author has just regurgitated other media as what he says has NO proof and nothing quoted per a current source. Watch as there will be many of these floated out there just hoping to be right but NO proof of being right at time of print. Thanks for the post.

He doesn;t have to play a down all season just be on the active roster for 6 games

You won’t hear anything from the FO about any kind of transaction until after something occurs. That’s the way they’ve done business since forever. They don’t discuss business with the media. Players, agents (I.e. Woodson, Hines to name a couple) have though in the past. FO hasn’t.

Connor now has 15 catches in 3 games. It is still early in the season but that averages out to a bunch of grabs over a 16 game season. Also I heard during the game that Bell makes over $200k more in one game than Connor will make this season.
 
I would think the Steelers would be shrewd enough to trade MeVeon to someone for an impact Defender who can play NOW, a high round pick and gobs of cash.

I've heard Colbert talk when he needs to. The Steelers are listening to trades. They should have prior to the draft, but that ship has sailed. Let's get the divorce and move on. Me personally I can't wait to see Bell on an average to below average type of team.

Yes they can, but if he's traded he has to play out this year's tag, which means next year's tag (3rd tag) is a QB contract level between $25-28M.

If Bell shows up, and signs the tag, he is good to go. If he gets hurt in a game/practice, then the Steelers are on the hook for the tag amount. If Bell is hurt before he signs, signs the tag injured, and the Steelers find this out, they have 20 days to void the tag once Bell is reviewed by an outside doctor.

With Darnold and Bell, Jets fans will have hope. Check.

The Jets do not have a 2rd round pick in the 2019 draft. They have picks in round 1, 3, 4,5,6 and 7. No check. This means they will likely offer their 3rd pick, and maybe something else but you never know. Like I said the Jets aren't very good thinkers. It would not shock me if they offered their first for say our 2nd.

Would I take the Jet's 3rd round pick for Bell? If that's the best out there, yes. Their 3rd round pick will be 20-25 slots before out compensatory pick if we Bell signs here, and walks elsewhere in free agency.

Either way I hope Bell signs his tender, and we trade the cancer.

I would hope to get at least a 2nd for Bell and maybe a conditional 4th rounder that would move up to a 3rd if Bell signs an extension. Something like that is probably doable. Ideally, someone will give us a 1st but I have my doubts.

After the Sporting News Steeler board crashed, Juiceman picked up the refugees. I was there, and Dave came in later for the merger. So stupid my positing here pre-dates the merger.
 
just wondering.. since you have experience. Can you feel it? or is it like it just feels natural? Like, do you know the retardation is there, or do you have to rely on other people letting you know it's showing through?

Steeler Nation was a band of wanderers who couldn't stand the Official site any longer and followed DD to the promise land that was Steeler Nation....after many board changes and adjustments, at some point DD and Juice hooked up and Juice's followers came to Steeler Nation...we adopted the misfits and taught them the ways of a real Steeler fan board. We heard tales of a boneheaded poster named coach but he was likely too scared to jump right in with the animals we had positing at that time..(you ******** know who you are) so many great posters who have gone on to their life's pursuits and left us behind. Coach would only resurface here after we had toned it down and become a kinder gentler message board.
