Round 1 Discussion Thread

Was the defense great with him? No because the secondary is subpar and they lack a consistent pass rush.

Stop. The year that Ryan went down our D was playing better than anything we had seen since Troy P. and the ol' guard were on the field. Go back and look at the stats if you can't remember.

Another character issue guy. Throws a tantrum if you yell at him Perfect for the Raiders

they could easily move back into the 2nd if someone they value is available, if not there are plenty of good players expected to be around in the 3rd

Very nice, allot of exerts nationally and on this board have touted the 2nd and third round depth. After the first 10 to 12 picks, i couldn't find a consensus. They may very well jump into the second round and keep their second pick in the third round, maybe the jump up earlier in round two with both third round picks and a later. I'm all for it. Good move Steelers

There were no pass rushers at #20 and none of the CBs seem to be impact players this season.
They can help their pass rusher by using 3 Dlinenmen and Watt

But Rashan Gary and Brian Burns were available at 10 where they traded. Montez Sweat is still on the board at 20. Reports today were that Sweat has been cleared of the heart issue.

Bush will be a good player, a tackling machine, but i'm not sure he will make the pass defense that much better.

With neilson, the secondary should be better. I don't think we signed him to be a slot corner since we have Sutton and Hilton for that.

And we are top 3 or so in sacks.

And the Ravens get AB Jr. Have fun asshats!

Gary and sweat have injury issues and some character issues I believe, after what we just went through, I don't think they were touching them at 20.

Bullshit. He was going to Cincy @ 11 guaranteed.

Based on the same information that had Clellin Ferrell going #4, right?

Fant + #2 + 2020 #3 > Bush
Savage + #2 + 2020 #3 > Bush

I’m just not convinced Bush will be anymore of an NFL player than the guy who was the #7 pick in the 2012 draft, Mark Barron.

in your opinion....Fant can catch but not block for ****

Lots of picks left to shore up the other areas.

Faint has tons of drops and doesn't block, doesn't make contested catches so who says he'll be a better player than Bush?
We just drafted Edmunds to play SS and he did well, I'm not sure if Savage translates into a FS, he seems more like a SS as well.

You need a stiff drink.

As the BAMA resident homer - I can flat out tell you that Mark Barron couldn't hold Bush's water at ILB in college BECAUSE he played SAFETY!!! He was a great SS at BAMA and only recently did he transition to ILB w/ the Rams. And he still doesn't have the speed, range or football IQ that Devin Bush brings the Steelers. And that's not to disrespect my homie I'm just being honest...

College athlete.. no job... 30,000 worth of jewelry

Telll me how..?
