I am all for replacing Tomlin with someone better, especially if we are able to get multiple draft picks for him I just don't know who would be better. as bad as we think he is, there are a lot of coaches that are not as good.

Myself, I value it more than a "value meal" but less than a "valued loved one", not that he isn't a valued loved one but his feedback is valued less than that (still pretty high value considering).

Some have focused in on possibilities. And that is with a little digging. I expect a team with a lot of resources can dig to China and back. There are potential X and O future coaches out there. I feel you can't really evaluate a coach thinking the next coach could be worse. They could just as well be better. And if they weren't that shouldn't prohibit trying. It just comes down to do they feel the HC can get them to a SB and win it. Regardless of what the supporters and non supporters feel, they should really weigh in that. Problem I have is are they really? Or is it well winning puts coin in their pocket so all is good. We have a good picture of what life is without a healthy BigBen. After the season they should too if they don't have a clear picture already. And hey I get some fans are just happy with their team getting to first base. I just will never be one of those fans. I want home runs. I know they don't come always. But **** I would like them sprinkled in. Not just a bunch of swing and misses and oh well there is always next year.

And Steelers fans as a whole dismiss the idea of retread coaches way too easily... a lot of good coaches had a poor fit once or twice and bombed out...

Coach Whiz is probably the best coach Arizona has has... nobody wins there with that owner/ front office... and Tennessee has been a shitshow for coaches for years... munch got a raw deal there as did whiz... teams that overestimate their talent levels and how pieces fit tend to fire guys in a couple years cause they expect an immediate turn around ... either Whiz or much would not be downgrades on Tomlin at all... both still have upside in that they might be good fits for a win now team...
Same with rivera, who might be out in Carolina if there isn’t a great season this year... he has done superb with what he has... os he the next noll? No, but he can be good enough...

We shouldn’t dismiss them cause they aren’t as sexy as the idea of a young Oc or college coach being the next great coach for two decades...

I think they interviewed Rivera before the Tomlin hire.

If Tomlin is out after this year who do you want to see come in? Your choice could be a possible pick or maybe a coach who is under contract but you'd love to see him here.
Would Cowher be your #1?
I just can't think of who would male me really happy.
