Covid-19: US Navy relieves carrier Theodore Roosevelt commanding officer

The US Navy (USN) abruptly relieved Captain Brett Crozier, the commanding officer of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), on 2 April for failing to properly follow the chain of command in voicing his concerns about the US Navy’s speed in addressing the Covid-19 infection spreading throughout his ship, Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly told reporters during a hastily called Pentagon press conference about the situation.

Capt Crozier was right to voice concerns about the health of his crew and the potential effects of the virus on those aboard his ship, Modly told reporters, but said that the captain went outside the chain of command with those concerns.

My daughters hospital ER is also empty. Intentionally. Her floor on the other hand is full of covid patients. The last place you want potential cases is in the ER. This is stupid. They send you straight home unless you are seriously ill then you go straight to isolation wards. People are not needing the ER as much simply staying at home.

That kind of sucks. Sounds to me like he's the fall guy here. They say he should of just went down the PWay to the admiral's cabin and talked to him/her. That the navy was in the process of negotiating with a hotel for 1700 rooms. But if that's the case why didn't the admiral contact the CO about the navy"s plans?

Has anyone seen how hospitals have cancelled elective and non-urgent procedures and banned visitation?

350 billion dollars in forgivable loans to small businesses just became available today!

SNS has had to lay off some of its finest employees and go to a skeleton work force, we will be applying for a bailout ASAP

Wish us luck, a few million in free grant money should get us through this crisis

Look beyond that man. You're focusing on one thing - ERs.

Look at COVID testing...no lines.
Look at the medical tents outside of the hospitals set up for COVID patients that are empty.
Look at the body trucks in New York, empty. No dead, refrigeration not even running.
Hospital parking lots - empty.

Forget the ERs, there's a lot more evidence that something is odd.

I pray for your daughter, but she's giving you anecdotal evidence. Check this video below out - video captured from mid-march on, all around the globe, of testing centers (empty), hospitals (empty), etc.

No evidence of "pandemic."

Not saying I'm buying this or not. I'm gonna drive by ours today I think. I need air.

Yes. My wife has reconstructive surgery after battling breast cancer scheduled for April 24. Postponed indefinitely.

It is still up for debate as to whether you can be reinfected. We must determine that first. It seems there is some evidence at least that you can be.

There has not been one case shown to be a re-infection of the virus. Every single case has been found to be a patient who had a re-emergence of the virus. The fact that the Covid-19 virus is believed to be exceptionally stable (non mutating) is why so many of the trials for the new vaccines believe this will be a single vaccine as opposed to an annual vaccine like the flu shot currently. Stable viruses also have the added benefit of not being able to re-infect once the antibodies are present within the body.

Maybe the top brass in the Pentagon needed a fall guy for directing him to go to Vietnam?

Which I heard he objected to

Theodore Roosevelt Strike Group Completes Port Visit to Da Nang to Commemorate 25 Years of Diplomatic Relations

March 12, 2020

DA NANG, Vietnam -- USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) and USS Bunker Hill (CG 52) successfully completed a scheduled five-day port visit to Da Nang, Vietnam on March 9. The visit, which commemorated 25 years of U.S.-Vietnam diplomatic relations, followed the historic 2018 visit of USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), demonstrated the strong U.S. commitment to its comprehensive partnership with Vietnam and to a free and open Indo-Pacific.

“We are honored to receive such a wonderful and warm welcome from the people of Vietnam,” said Adm. Aquilino in a March 6 telephone briefing with journalists. “This port call highlights our continued cooperation and strong support for Vietnam…Our commitment to each other, including this week’s visit, will help ensure a stable, predictable, and durable relationship based on mutual interests, values, and trust.”

I'm not sure what's odd about it. Everything that is going on will be happening inside. They have to treat everyone who enters the hospital as though they are carrying the virus. The only high-concentration area right now is in New York. When you have a few hundred cases in other major metropolitan areas, they will be able to handle that volume without any problem because many of the patients are being told to self-quarantine at home.

Of the active cases right now, 5% are considered to be critical (38,780). What I find odd is this is the first pandemic in, what, 100 years that has required social distancing. It's something that they are doing all over the world. This leaves me skeptical about the origin of the virus.

'Surreal': NY funeral homes struggle as virus deaths surge

NEW YORK (AP) — Pat Marmo walked among 20 or so deceased in the basement of his Brooklyn funeral home, his protective mask pulled down so his pleas could be heard.

2020-04-03.png

His company is equipped to handle 40 to 60 cases at a time, no problem. On Thursday morning, it was taking care of 185.

“This is a state of emergency,” he said. “We need help.”

“I need somebody to help me,” he said. “Maybe if they send me refrigeration, or guide me in a way that I could set up a refrigerated trailer that I could keep, and I could supervise.”

We just put together an extension to our emergency plan for surge capacity of deceased in the event funeral homes, morgues stop taking folks. Hope we don’t have to distribute

I'm not sure what's odd about it. Everything that is going on will be happening inside.

That's not wholly accurate. Here in MD, they are setting up tents outside the hospital to treat patients and to do testing. But you're missing the point...

Why are the testing centers empty, no lines? IF we are suffering a pandemic, wouldn't the testing centers show activity?? Nothing. The tents in these videos are OUTSIDE the hospital and empty. The testing centers show nurses sitting on their phones at desks, no one getting tested...

The testing and medical tents OUTSIDE the hospitals have no medical personnel in them in these videos.

In New York, the media has told us, because so many are dying they are putting them in refrigerated trucks. In the videos, several NY hospitals were shown with tents and trucks OUTSIDE and the morgue truck refrigeration isn't running. And there isn't ONE person in the tents.

Yet the AP (thanks to SNS) is showing us funeral homes stacked to the roof with bodies. But the refrigeration trucks aren't even operating.

Forget what's going on INSIDE the hospitals, this exterior evidence alone raises eyebrows.

I'm not going whack, this is certainly worth looking into. Even Candace Owens is tweeting about it.

I donated some of the clorox wipes I don’t use to a friends elderly parents...

The issue is that the whole world is chasing the same products and everyone outsourced those manufacturing processes to china to save some pennies

And that the press panicked people into thinking that this is going to last over a year... so they overhoarded and left critical shortages

Lots of retailers are now limiting purchases of these products, of course none of them have actually had any in weeks.

Which begs the question, who are the ******** with their garages filled with TP, paper towels, disinfectants and masks? Hell, it's tough even finding laundry detergent here.

You know what’s raised my eyebrows. High quality posters/signes at stores about social distance, about cdc guidelines...etc. I’ve seen billboards, the glass walls separators everywhere from grocery stores, beer stores, wawa gas stations. And I seen these things weeks ago.

Apparently Lord Voldemort decided to open a funeral home in his reincarnation...

I often wondered how vaccine trials work. Do they inject you, then when they figure the vaccine has taken effect, send you into a room full of sick people and have them cough on you? If you don’t get sick, it’s good? I mean obviously they use control groups and stuff like that and my question is simplistic, but I just wonder how they decide it works.

Trials will be done with healthy, young adults, and antibodies to the virus should be detectable within a couple of weeks.

The UPMC trial isn't even an injection, but a type of band aid filled with micro needles, no refrigeration required for storage, and worked in the animal studies.

Just took a drive past my hospital in MD, suburb of DC. This exact tent is outside the hospital as pictured in this tweet, set up for testing.

Empty. No one inside. Parking lots 20-25% full. Exactly as pictured in this tweet.

Give it 2-3 weeks, the wave isn't there yet

and remember, everybody staying home means less car crashes, bike accidents, crime, no elective surgeries, no routine medical procedures

You would expect hospitals not actively fighting a Covid. 19 surge to be less busy
