My point was you used her words and she is forecasting an increase still and that goes against what you said. Yes we have plateaued but in all honesty I freely admit that the case number at this point is irrelevant without more testing, the deaths are what matter. We have to wait a week or so to truly see the trend I hope it is going down and she is wrong again with her predictions that you posted.

Tim, do you still have your hair?

I'm about to pull mine out.

Well great... Elfie is banned again, now he can go back to posting under spikes account while he holds spike in a ditch in his basement...

Why did the "Put the lotion in the basket" scene immediately come to mind?

I LOVE it that the person who has been banned from here approximately 12 times still tries to do the "Whoooo meeeee?" innocent routine when the latest banning is on the horizon. It's funny every time it happens. It's like somebody continuing to stick their hand in an alligator's mouth after they've already had a finger bitten off on 5 other occasions.

Fun fact, Ted Levine, who played Buffalo Bill was born in my little old hometown of less than 5,000 people. According to his bio, they moved to Illinois during in his childhood.

Over 17k cases in florida. 374 deaths. The 3 counties in my area are still below 1000 total cases with 30 or less fatalities. I just don't see it blowing up anymore.

I live and work in two of the three worse hit counties.

I go to work five days a week and shop twice a week,I and all workers on site seem to be fine.

Amid all of this social distancing and lock downs some ******* stole our propane tank for our grill. They were nice enough to just cut the hose to get the tank. We've lived here since 93' and nothing like this has ever happened. Because Coronavirus.

Two bicycles were stolen down the block from me and the same night unlocked cars were opened.
They went through my console glove and trunk but I had nothing of value

Sad to see the latest version of the execrable, lying, fetid, nauseating version of elftard has been banned. She provides a measure of entertainment, acting in the punching bag and Kevin Bacon/Animal House kinda way.

RespectfulViciousArmadillo-size_restricted.gif

Elftard trying to debate her point, pretends not to like the abuse

Second, I was really hoping to see a return of the clown car.

Third, elfie's latest "contributions" were worthless entertainment, the internet equivalent of a Snapple lid fact. "The human head weighs the same as all the bodily organs combined."

Huh. Nobody gives a ****, but huh.

Interesting take from Alex Berenson, who points out that the models have been substantially wrong in every relevant measure, overstated the potential effects of the virus, and that the nationwide panic attack was unwarranted.

Dr. Anthony Fauci said that the indicators are that social distancing efforts are working: "Because remember, what you do with data will always outstrip a model. You redo your models, depending upon your data, and our data is telling us that mitigation is working."

But Berenson argues that those models have social distancing and other measures baked into them. As for further proof, he says that outside of places like New York there has not been a national health crisis that was predicted -- nor are there signs that the level of lockdown in various states has made a difference.

“Aside from New York, nationally there’s been no health system crisis. In fact, to be truly correct there has been a health system crisis, but the crisis is that the hospitals are empty,” he said. “This is true in Florida where the lockdown was late, this is true in southern California where the lockdown was early, it's true in Oklahoma where there is no statewide lockdown. There doesn't seem to be any correlation between the lockdown and whether or not the epidemic has spread wide and fast.”

He has also argued, in lengthy Twitter threads, that the drop in cases seen in various states has come before lockdowns would have had an impact -- since it takes a few weeks for social distancing measures to take effect due to the window between infection and symptoms.

Berenson blames the models for a response that has effectively shut down large sectors of the economy and is causing significant financial harm to Americans. On Thursday it was announced that the number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits swelled to 6.6 million last week, surging for the third consecutive week. Congress has sought to alleviate the pain by boosting those jobless benefits.

His is a view that has seen some sympathy from President Trump, who has spoken about the "cure being worse than the problem" and has indicated that he is keen to end the strict measures as soon as is possible -- saying Wednesday he wants to re-open the economy with a "big bang."

Berenson says the correct response in the initial days of the crisis would not have been to do nothing, but instead to adopt a more measured and targeted approach.

“There was incredible pressure to do something ... so these lockdowns all cascaded, every governor tried to outdo the next. And no one stopped and said ‘OK what about Japan, they don't seem to have a terrible epidemic, they wear masks, maybe we should wear masks,” he said.

He said other measures such as protecting individuals particularly at risk, and even things such as banning large gatherings such as concerts and sporting events could have been appropriate. But now he fears it may be too late for officials to say they overreacted.

He's right about the delayed effect of social distancing and the patently inconsistent outcomes. Why is New York getting hammered, and California not? Why is there no direct correlation between social distancing policies and infection rates per capita?

Because the models were wrong, were always wrong, and overstated the threat by geometric proportions. Meanwhile, we basically ****** our economy for the next 12 months, maybe more.

**** social distancing. The only time that I kind of do it is at a checkout line where pearl clutches are present and the “stand here” spots are marked with a taped X. Like that even ******* matters...it’s so stupid. I’ve got a date in a couple hours and I’m getting carry out from a restaurant owned by our brown friends to the South, who have margaritas to go. I’m pretty sure there will be no social distancing on said date.

Good news Spain and Italy finally had significantly better days. Some prayers for my cousin and her family in France though they are now getting hit hard with 987 deaths yesterday and her sister is a nurse her husband is Firefighter and medic.

If you could catch this thing by walking near someone in a grocery store. everyone would already have it. Some of these measures are absolutely ludicrous.

Yeah I'm not sure the deal with south Florida. I keep tabs on updates twice a day and it's always down south going way up. It has to start dropping soon.

Cool. Glad we both agree that your uncle has a blue canoe and trump lies and downplayed the virus.

What kind of ******* nutjob has to make up multiple accounts just to post on a message board they've been banned from more times than I can recall. You have some serious ******* issues, but you already know that. Take your meds.

Trump downplayed the virus!!! The evidence is overwhelming how he assured us that the virus was not transmitted person-to-person, would not merit a travel ban, and we should continue to gather in large numbers with a ****-ton of Asians, just to be sure!!

Like this on January 14, 2020:

The World Health Organization on Thursday declined to categorize the coronavirus sweeping across China as a global health emergency, saying there is no evidence of human-to-human infection outside China.

https://www.foxnews.com/world/world...ry-tweet-china-human-transmission-coronavirus

Okay, forget that. Glitch. Hiccup in the data presentation. But what about this one here on January 23, 2020:

The World Health Organization on Thursday declined to categorize the coronavirus sweeping across China as a global health emergency, saying there is no evidence of human-to-human infection outside China.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...us-wuhan-china-quarantine-vaccine/4551112002/

Oh, yeah, maybe not those. But here, look at this ****, where on February 3, 2020, Trump says no reason to restrict traveling to and from Wuhan!!!! Look, here, look!!!!!!!

GENEVA (Reuters) - World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Monday there was no need for measures that “unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade” in trying to halt the spread of a coronavirus

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-health-who-idUSKBN1ZX1H3

****!! Goddammit, how about THIS!! Look at how Trump downplayed the virus on February 18, 2020. February 18?!? Jee-zus, by then that racist had already imposed a travel ban and Trump should have known about the dangers of the virus, but instead said THIS!!!

New York Times
February 18, 2020
In Europe, Fear Spreads Faster Than the Coronavirus Itself

About 40 cases have been confirmed in Europe, but people and places associated with the illness face stigmatization.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/18/world/europe/coronavirus-stigma-europe.html

****!!!

Goddammit, forget that. The NYT can call a mulligan. **** happens. But here, HERE, look at how Trump minimized the damn danger on January 31, 2020:

Washington Post
January 31, 2020
How Our Brains Make the Coronavirus Seem Scarier Than It Is

https://www.washingtonpost.com/outl...ins-make-coronavirus-seem-scarier-than-it-is/

GOD. DAMN. IT.

Okay, okay, so maybe the WHO, NYT, WaPo downplayed the virus, a couple of times, and maybe, just maybe they did so even AFTER the President imposed travel restrictions for any person having been to China.

But okay, how about this then?!? Can you explain THIS statement by the Marmalade Mussolini on February 1, 2020??

Washington Post
February 1, 2020
Get A Grip, America, The Flu Is A Much Bigger Threat Than Coronavirus, For Now

https://www.washingtonpost.com/heal...a15166-4444-11ea-b5fc-eefa848cde99_story.html

Son. Of. A. *****.

I'm getting steamed now. I searched and searched and searched, and damn it, found the following appalling statement by the Great Orange on January 31, 2020. Okay, the Orange Hitler put in the travel restriction that same day, but THEN SAID THIS!!!!

Screen-Shot-2020-03-24-at-1.03.19-PM-768x270.png

GOD.
DAMN.
IT.

This research is exhausting, but worth it since I FOUND THE SMOKING GUN, on February 21, 2020 - well after the damn threat was known, three weeks after the racist and flawed travel ban, more than two weeks after the WHO assured us the virus was not a problem outside of China ... getting lost here, a little Biden moment, but LOOK AT WHAT MANGO MAN SAID ON FEBRUARY 21, 2020:

Screen-Shot-2020-03-24-at-1.30.32-PM-768x387.png

****!! ******* CNN, "What's Spreading Faster Than The Coronvirus? RACIST!!"

Okay, okay. Other politicians, that's it, Trump is an orange murderer because he was blowing off the dangers while other politicians - true leaders like Deblasio and Pelosi (or is that Deblosi and Pelasio? I always get them confused) were all over this ****. For example, Deblosi, ehh, Deblasio on March 13, 2020:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">“If you love your neighborhood bar, go there now.” <a href="https://twitter.com/NYCMayor?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@NYCMayor</a> - adding that you should do so “briefly” and with “social distancing” but his implication is ALL nyc bars could be shut down. “Everything is on the table.” <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/nbc4ny?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#nbc4ny</a> <a href="https://t.co/PtLsE0eZ29">pic.twitter.com/PtLsE0eZ29</a></p>— Andrew Siff (@andrewsiff4NY) <a href="https://twitter.com/andrewsiff4NY/status/1239320770742018049?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 15, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Son of a ... ****. Okay, Pelasio, ehh, Penocchio, I mean, Pelosi. She was ON IT from the get go, not like Agent Orange, and on February 24, 2020 issued this dire warning of the doom threatened by the killer virus:

“It’s exciting to be here, especially at this time, to be able to be unified with our community,” Pelosi said on Feb. 24. “We want to be vigilant about what is out there in other places. We want to be careful about how we deal with it, but we do want to say to people ‘Come to Chinatown, here we are — we're, again, careful, safe — and come join us.'"

So ******* Trump was telling people to congregate en masse at - get this, you can't make it up - CHINATOWN!!!

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...-february-weeks-after-trumps-china-travel-ban

Wait, that was Penocchio?!??

I'm done. Mango Hitler downplayed the virus and people died.

Never mind what the WHO, an actual ******* health organization, said. Never mind what Vox, NYT, WaPo, CNN, Deblosi, Penocchio, and on and on said, repeatedly, after Trump imposed a travel ban, even going so far as to encourage us to congregate in large groups with a ton of Asians, just to be sure. "It's the only way to be sure," Penocchio probably said.

So "Trump lied, people died" does not work since the facts prove otherwise absolutely conclusively? Who cares? New slogan: Trump imposed a travel ban because racist.

Too bad elftardeagleliar is not here for the rebuttal.

I miss those clown cars.
