The Coronavirus thread

Rush Limbaugh’s theory on masks is that as the cases and deaths decrease, they need something to keep people scared so making everyone wear a mask will do the trick. It is becoming very clear that many people in power WANT these shutdowns for various reasons. They think it could finally break the system Cloward Piven style and pave the way for government takeover.

i also think many blue states want the lockdowns to continue to plunge their states even further into debt then just get bailed out by the fed. They will then blame all debt not on decades of mismanagement but on the virus. Then they’ll go right back to spending money they don’t have
That is why everyone in Itlee who has died in past three months was called Rona. They have massive debt, are facing demographic cliffs, and have asked for help with Corona Eurobonds, to cover their debt.
Ever wonder why the worst Rona cases are in Dem controlled states? Check the debt.

Are the businesses that are requiring masks providing customers with them? If not, then they can’t require them.

No they are not. Masks are now mandatory to enter any business in PA. That started last week. Couldn't find any on Amazon that would ship any quicker than mid May or June. I ended up having to buy a few off Etsy. There are tons of them on Etsy. It's actually good though since i'd rather buy from somebody making masks in USA instead of getting some from China.

Etsy is mostly an arts and crafts place so you can find all kinds of designs.

I also came across cloth masks being sold by Custom Ink the screen printing T-Shirt people. They say a pack of 10 will ship within a few days if you need to just find something.

Of course, you could just tie a Terrible Towel across your face or use any kind of scarf or Bandana.

This started out as a legit threat due to the unknown but after a few weeks of data it is now becoming clear that this is just a Trojan Horse that will be used for various purposes.

Even the Doctors can't be trusted. HCQ is generic and cheap. It's snake oil!! It's poison!! We need years of study before we can use it!!
What? A brand new untested COVID drug that they can charge a fortune? That's the answer. The ONLY answer. Cuz science!!!

Just wait for somebody somewhere to get shot. Then they will demand gun grabs. You know because this is such an emergency that the Constitution no longer applies.

My employer for my part time job supplies our mandatory masks. My mom had sent me a few as a joke so I had some already. I never wear the masks unless I am at my part time job. It makes for a nice shopping experience because people stay away...lol. And lmao when you pull your mask off to sneeze...you’d think I was spreading a disease or something...

Asia's 'murder hornet' lands in US for first time
By Robert Gearty | Fox News

Beekeepers are fretting about a deadly threat from Asia.

Deadly hornets from Asia that measure up to 2 inches long have been found for the first time in the U.S., with researchers worried that the insects are colonizing, the New York Post reported Saturday.

The “murder hornets,” as the aggressive insects are known, can wipe out bee colonies within hours and have stingers long and powerful enough to puncture beekeeping suits, according to the paper.

In Japan, the hornets kill up to 50 people a year, according to The New York Times.

In the state of Washington, beekeepers have already seen the hornets devastate their hives, according to the paper.

The invasive Asian giant hornet has been sited in Washington state for the first time in the U.S.

The hornet has a distinctive look, with a cartoonishly fierce face featuring teardrop eyes like Spider-Man, orange and black stripes that extend down its body like a tiger and broad, wispy wings like a small dragonfly, The Times reported.

“This is our window to keep it from establishing,” Washington state entomologist Chris Looney told The Times. “If we can’t do it in the next couple of years, it probably can’t be done.”

The Bellingham Herald in Washington reported Saturday that the State Department received and verified four reports of Asian giant hornets near Blaine and Bellingham in December 2019.

Those were the first sightings of the hornets in Washington state and the U.S.

Members of the Mt. Baker Beekeepers Association have put up traps and are monitoring them as part of the state’s efforts to find and kill the invasive pests, the paper reported.

The hornet dwarfs other winged insects, making the yellow-head bumblebee, bald-faced hornet and western yellowjacket seem small in comparison, and even when compared to the burly bumblebee, according to the Herald.

Heavy amount of people driving around today. It's all sunshine and around 85 degrees. You would never know anything was going on this normal Saturday. Well other than people wearing a lot of masks in grocery stores.

It appears that Jesus has had just about enough of our ****.

That's impossible. HCQ doesn't work. Studies have shown that. Orange Man Bad.

I have a good friend who is a doctor in one of the hospitals in PGH that saw some of the 'first' Covid patients. He said they were prescribing HCQ before the President said anything about it. This is how dishonest and corrupt our media is.

The first person that I know personally got Covid-19. My mom's friend's husband, who is actually already in a nursing home, and has COPD among a slew of other things. He did go to the hospital and they did transfer him to ICU for a night, but the treatment (whatever it was) worked and he recovered, and he's back in his nursing home.

Right where he got it in the first place. Real smart. And before anyone says anything, these people have money. He could afford to have home hospice care but chooses to go the cheap route. But anyways, 77 years old with a myriad of medical conditions and he survived this terrible virus. I'm really curious now what the treatment was. I'll ask and if I get a definitive answer, I'll share it.

I find it curious that all the propaganda in the press maximizes the worse potential things about this...

Deaths are inflated and gripes about the few dozen that may slip through the cracks are embellished to make it sound like thousands of deaths are missed

On the flip side the infections that are missed are utterly ignored... the known reality that the actual coronavirus tests had a metric ton of false negatives is ignored but the antibody test thats yielding huge results of previously unknown cases are being questioned for false positives despite no proof of even one such case existing...

And I haven’t gone a day in weeks without reading an article about how antibodies dont equate to immunity and how we need a vaccine... even though all a vaccine does is provide antibodies for immunity...

Funny...but people are fed up. Take a dip, Park Ranger.

In Austin, police say a 25-year-old man was charged with attempted assault on a Texas public service worker for shoving a park ranger into the water.

What would have been funny is if the park ranger would have beat him bloody and dropped him at the feet of his ***** *** friends. The park ranger was doing his job and these little ***** have no respect for anything

What is not going to be funny is all of the small businesses who are not going to survive unless the open soon, who are going to open soon. This is not theoretical. This is happening as we speak.

Yeah that Park Ranger was only doing what he's been told to do. And it sounded like he was doing it in a respectful and calm manner, so I'm not sure why somebody would have pushed him into the water like that, but to each their own.

The fat cat bureaucrats all over this country need to feel it with peaceful protest and people exercising their constitutional rights IMO, but don't go after the little guy who's just being told what to do or else IMO. I know that's easier said than done when these fat cat bureaucrats aren't anywhere to be found while we're all at each other's throats over petty **** because we're up to our ears in stress over this madness.

Don't let the cure be worse than the disease. Think I remember someone saying that pretty recently. It's not often that I quote the 45th President, but he sure seemed to know what could potentially come when he remarked on that one.

Disrespect for authority by young punks aside, don't you think that minor acts of civil disobedience, like this, and small businesses opening up, are better than overt acts of violence against the governmental forces restricting personal liberty?

At least to start?

Can't say I like the messenger but wholeheartedly agree with the message:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I worry that the past two months of quarantine have given people the idea that the way for humans to win our million-year war with microbes is to avoid them completely, and I’m here to tell you: you can’t. <a href="https://t.co/cMxefDdJ7S">pic.twitter.com/cMxefDdJ7S</a></p>— Bill Maher (@billmaher) <a href="https://twitter.com/billmaher/status/1256425181960003585?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 2, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

But I think as JMM pointed out (if it was someone different, apologies) with the George Carlin video a while back, George had it right first:

What would have been funny is if the park ranger would have beat him bloody and dropped him at the feet of his ***** *** friends. The park ranger was doing his job and these little ***** have no respect for anything

Unfortunately, this is how it must be. Gretchen Whitmer is not going to go to a public park in Michigan and tell people to social distance. The Government has workers that do their dirty work. And sadly, while they may be doing their jobs, they are an extension of the policies people are objecting to.

I do feel for the young man. But it's more important that we open back up. He got wet. He will live.

Agreed. If the Fed, State and Local governments don't start recognizing these protests and moments of civil unrest like this, if they don't acknowledge the people being harassed by law enforcement that make you cringe to watch - and begin reacting appropriately - it's going to get worse and people are going to get killed.
