The Coronavirus thread

Cuomo ordered nursing homes to take infected COVID patients so they would not take up hospital space. He just shipped the patients there and gave no time or equipment for nursing homes to prepare some kind of quarantine. He basically shipped them off to die and infect others who were at risk.

******* Trump ...

I don't normally listen to Alex Jones, but this is frightening. It makes too god damn much sense.
Vincent expressed these same concerns in another thread.

Holy **** - Los Angeles Health Official Predicts County Will ‘Slowly Lift Restrictions over the Next 3 Months’

Los Angeles County officials are eyeing “with all certainty” to extend its stay-at-home order for three more months as part of an effort to combat the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, reports The Los Angeles Times.

Barbara Ferrer, director of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, told the county’s Board of Supervisors that officials are likely to extend the stay-at-home efforts through July and said the country’s “hope is that by using the data, we’d be able to slowly lift restrictions over the next three months.”

WTF?

Dayton's dumb **** ultra liberal mayor Nan Whaley is intentionally trying to destroy the economy. To think she was going to try and run for governor of Ohio.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Officials with Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County held a news conference Tuesday afternoon to provide an update on COVID-19 response in the area.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 433 cases of COVID-19 were reported to the state out of Montgomery County, leading to 129 hospitalizations and 10 deaths.

Cooper says Public Health strongly expects to see an increase in cases as the state economy reopens, and work continues on a long-term plan for handling this increase.

While it’s not a requirement, Public Health feels that citizens should wear a mask or face covering while out in public.

“It’s the right thing to do,” Cooper said. “We all need to make sacrifices and take appropriate actions to protect each other.”

Shops may be reopening, but Cooper says this is not the time to be mingling in stores for several hours throughout the day. Further, the public is advised to support those businesses “where it is very obvious” that workers are taking state guidelines seriously as opposed to those who don’t seem to be implementing any social distancing efforts.

Mayor Whaley says the City of Dayton will not be issuing new or additional outdoor seating permits to coincide with the reopening of restaurants in the state, citing concerns over the area’s testing capabilities.

“I know I’ve seen other cities that have done this, that have closed streets, that are offering this,” she said. “I think it’s really great but I don’t know what their situation was with testing. I just know what our community’s situation is with testing.”

She is encouraging residents to continue to opt for takeout as opposed to dining out, saying “just because something is allowed doesn’t mean you should do it.”

“You will not see my husband, Sam, and I out in restaurants when they reopen and I cannot encourage any kind of gathering, frankly, in good conscience when I know where we are with testing in this community,” she said.

The Mayor feels the risk of a customer who may test positive after dining at a restaurant puts too much stress on the business owners and workers involved.

The City will also not approve permits that allow restaurants to use their parking areas for extra seating space.

“They can open on May 15 in the patio space that they have available today,” Whaley said.

City officials will revisit this policy in early June in conjunction with Public Health.

“I know the people of Dayton can hang on a little while longer because they are amazing and continue to look out for one another from afar, and continue to support small businesses that are providing takeout,” said Whaley.

She says she was moved by restaurant owners who reached out to her because they were wrestling so much over their decision to reopen.

That's ******* great ... so I am guessing courts in LA County will stay closed, meaning my 7-week vacation is about to be 20 weeks.

Brilliant. *******. Brilliant.

Look, wife and I take care of ourselves, we do okay, we have put quite a bit aside, we paid for our home, we have very manageable bills, so we will be okay. But how the hell are people with a mortgage, kids, credit card bills, bills for food and furniture, car payments, insurance, etc. supposed to pay their ******* bills??

Seriously, HOW?? Maybe give the illegals a couple billion, that might help ...

The country is done and it's not coming back, folks.

Over what? A ******* flu that kills 0.04% of the population?? Goddamn **** on a stick, the Civil War killed 2.1% of the population, basically the healthiest and the most productive members of our society, and this great country survived and flourished!!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_military_casualties_of_war

Now some ***** flu is going to kill this nation? **** that.

I don’t think it’s even that bad. Considering the way they are classifying deaths, I think it is lower, perhaps much lower. I think we’ve been had.

The trick is to look at total national and international deaths compared to recent years... this year is slightly high... its not as high as the swine flu though, mostly cause that targeted people who were not going to die anyhow where this one just culls the ill... again the average age to die from this in PA is 84 years old... worldwide its like 81....

And for anyone who doesn’t believe they are faking stats to make it look worse... explain how everyone who has died with any of the coronavirus symptoms in the past few months has been added to the death toll here in pa, but they said a positive antibodies test will not get you counted with the recovered cases unless you had documented symptoms of it as well...

So they are pumping the death count sky high but crimping the case count lower ... that produces high death rates that justify nonsense...

80ish kids seem to have (and 3 kids died from) a "mysterious inflammatory illness". Hello, it's Kawasaki disease. It's an abnormal inflammatory response to infection that 5000 or so kids get every year get every year in this country. It can be triggered by any number of infections including colds or flu, and it's believed that some kids have a genetic predisposition to it. They would have probably gotten it at some point whether as a response to covid-19 or something else.

5000 kids and no one ever once suggested we close schools over it

But mark my words this will be used to scare people into keeping schools closed this fall thus increasing the time to get close to herd immunity by months.

When I learned that a 72-year-old nursing home patient with COPD and a plethora of other serious ailments got the Coronavirus (the husband of my mom's best friend), and HE recovered, I had to do some serious soul-searching and research on this 'global pandemic'.

And by the way, this man had gout (and I believe something else but I don't know what exactly) so bad that he could not even walk for several months. He was confined to a wheelchair, could barely breathe and had emergency nurse visits at least once a week, and he recovered from this!

Question. Why? Why the fear-mongering and scare tactics to keep people in a literal freeze? What's the endgame here?

Oh come on man, the end game is November. Dem sound bites will be scathing toward Orange Man Bad. Same is true with the Ice Queens new stimulus bill, no chance of passing, but an opportunity to blame Reps for being heartless.

I loathe politicians.

I'm with you 100%. Trump bugs the **** out of me sometimes, but he's nothing compared to these swamp rats that infest our government, and have for years, or decades. They are so vile and corrupt that I will vote for this guy again with not a single blink of an eye.

As Coolie would say, zero ***** given. It's either all in on Trump or we're seriously ****** as a country IMO.

You have to unfuck peoples heads. Just way too many are drinking the kool-aid and listening to the piedpipers on tv.

I just can't get over how pussified we've become. **** started out with a few weeks of stay at home and social distancing to shutting **** down for months on end. All of this to usher in ..**** ..9-12 trillion in spending. Drag it out long enough and the slime ball shitbags will want all mail in voting..which will be an epic cheating **** show.

I'm hoping everyone pretty much says **** you to the politicians pretty soon. I know a great many in law enforcement will stand up for the right thing and the constitution. Which has been reduced to ashes.

Beaver County (where I live) makes Laura Ingraham and my bud the commissioner at 22:00.

The problem with this theory is we are not the only ones who shut down. The majority of the rest of the world shut down. All types of political systems have shut down. The world was caught with its pants down and no one knew what to do. I don't think the dems have anything to gain by holding the US hostage. Say Trump opens up and the virus spikes that would look far worse to Trump than staying in lockdown. By staying in lockdown he can say he is listening to experts and the dems.
