Have you noticed all the Fox News personalities plugging them in unison? Watters was doing it Saturday night. Of course none of them wear the masks on air. I guess the news desk is kind of like protest zones -- apparently Covid-1984 doesn't work in those areas.

I agree that all of that should be open.
Masks aren't 100 percent effective. Nothing is. Viruses will find a way into some people regardless of what we do.
It's about slowing the spread.
We all know the flu is deadly. Why aren’t we wearing masks to slow the spread of the flu?
I’m in GA now. Drove from KS to GA. Along the way, we were in several different states. Not even the people who lived in those states could tell you if masks were mandated or not. Some people were outside with masks on. Some people (me included) didn’t have masks in at all. Nobody was denied entrance to anything and nobody was attacked by a Karen. If someone did go Karen on me,, I planned on claiming I was from out of state and didn’t know the requirements (truth). Either make masks mandatory nationwide or don’t make anyone wear them. This is ridiculous.

Not if you believe The Who last comments that asymptotic people are unlikely to spread (not that I believe that or anything I’m told lately). But let’s just say I am. After our second round of covid testing we had 2 positive results. One we think is a false positive and one is probably legit. Luckily it was a pretty isolated employee who basically had 0 resident contact just a little contact with most staff. So now everyone has to get retested 2 more times.
Here is my thing. Regardless of what side you are on. Pro lock down/mask or open me up and my choice, it doesn’t matter unless there is ZERO infected people on this planet. One person can make this explode again. One. Until folks realize this will not be eradicated (until Biden wins strangely lol), but rather this is or has the potential to be another annual virus that we must overcome.
There will be vaccination. Some will get it others will say **** that. The number of infected will go on just like other virus but your body will do what it’s supposed to. Those most at risk for virus infection and negative outcomes will have pass.

Let me add. I’ve stated my profession and what I do. My states were the hardest hit originally. We are not seeing some massing flood of new cases, or substantially ill. We pick some folks up here and there from regular screening. No prob. They are back to work within 10-15 days.
My counterparts will be ****** next go around bc they didn’t have this. Folks didn’t get this. They didn’t recover. They didn’t get their body to respond. That is what we are seeing

Oh and before you start, keep in mind that when Trump instituted the travel ban, every one of the Democrats you look up to so much not only said he was wrong to do it, but that he was in fact a racist bigot for doing it. Fauci and the other medical experts said he was wrong to do it as well. They think differently now, and have stated openly that he was correct and they weren't.
Oh, also keep in mind that all the medical professionals in government were telling the American people that masks did no good and DO NOT wear them, until they pulled a 180 weeks later.
Oh yeah, also keep in mind that Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Shumer were.....at the beginning of a pandemic explosion.......openly encouraging the American people to attend highly populated street celebrations and parties in Chinatown and other places and to pay no attention to the "fear mongers" saying that it was dangerous.
With all that in mind, we'll wait for you to tell us what the right thing to do was and what Trump did that was wrong. No generalities and broad sweeping criticisms that don't have any substance other than to say Orange man bad. Specific policies are what you need to come up with if you want to make a believer out of me.

Given the never-ending list of lies, here's what I don't get...for all of you mask zealots...when did science become settled that a mask CAN prevent (possibly) the spread of COVID? Because I'll tell you this...all the science we've been fed like sheep, about 90% of it, has been debunked as bullshit.
Funny, despite all of us knowing they've waffled and lied 100x over, everyone now subscribes to the theory that wearing a mask provides safety when...we really don't even know that.
Like the gloves, like the cardboard, like the distance it can travel and how long it can live on inanimate surfaces...the mask theory is also just a theory.
Unless someone can show me a SCIENTIFIC study that shows a mask preventing the spread of COVID.

I'm tired of it. Tired of it being around. Everyone stuffed themselves in the house for months down here in florida. What did it accomplish? Absolutely nothing. It's going to run its course. The same goes for all of the super lockdown states. You could sit inside for the next 6 months and if just a few people have it, it will spread again or someone from out of area will bring it in. It's mutating and weakening.
