Given that we have no idea where the student got covid and that he apparently hasn't spread it to everyone else in the class, you could say that is evidence that the masks worked.

We don’t know if anyone else has it as of yet. A student was absent today with Covid symptoms (a Gen Ed peer mentor) and now that she knows she’s quarantined, she will get a test. As of now no staff or other sped kids have symptoms, but it hasn’t been 2 weeks yet. I feel fine and want to be at work. The Gen Ed student worked as his buddy in 2 classes and wore her mask all the time as did he. So I am willing to bet if she tests positive she got it from him.
I forgot to mention that any student who rides the bus with him within the 6 foot radius has to quarantine as well. But his sister does not. I don’t understand that but OK. You would think she would have to as well.

Yep. Tough to read. I fully supported the efforts to slow down and stop the spread of the Chinese flu until I saw the Surgeon General and the WHO completely reverse themselves on wearing masks, then read at least four sources indicating the death count was massively pumped up by deeming anybody who died and had the Chinese flu a Covid death, and then saw instance after instance where political "leaders" violated their own safety orders for creature comfort.
Hey, don't these people have access to the stories about how deadly the ******* virus is? Then why are they trooping around to hairdressers, or going to the lake, or going to restaurants, and on and on.
Almost as if they knew the threat to them was almost zero and the panicked shrieks were a propaganda tool.

A lot of stuff in that article makes me angry but the idea that wearing masks is some big conspiracy to control us just doesn't fly with me. Masks have been worn willingly and voluntarily in other countries that have experienced respiratory infections for decades. They got a bad rap because they originally lied to us about whether we should wear one. Way back when the CDC and Fauci were saying don't wear them, which was a lie because they didn't want a run on masks, some people here even pointed that out at the time as I recall. While I'm not particularly afraid of catching Covid if wearing a piece of fabric helps my infected spew from traveling as far and wide I don't see the big deal of that.
Our government would have been a lot more successful getting people to wear them had they just suggested it rather than trying to mandate it. Once you start telling people they have to you are going to get pushback and people are going to take sides.

Agree but I think China and there mask wearing was more about the air quality vs viral issues. I could be wrong but that’s what I recall. But yes. “The lying and the mandate” I don’t like. My body my right ....right.

Well, I think that’s just it. People trust nothing coming from the government because the messaging has been so inconsistent, even beyond the mask thing. From the president to members of congress to the CDC and The WHO. Too that off with it going from deaths to cases as the metric for how bad everything supposedly is, and thinking people stop trusting the official message, whatever it is. Our government is a dirty *****, willing to sell its soul for money and power over anything. How can you trust them?

It's pretty clear that the only thing standing between the globalists and our American values is Trump.
So now we might not get paid for working at home. Technically we aren’t virtual paras even though our class was forced to do so. We are at home and not supposed to work from there unless labeled a virtual para. Because we are quarantined, we might have to take the FMLA leave. Our teacher and principal are trying to plead our case. Until I hear otherwise, I’m clocking in from home and getting paid. It’s the schools fault we are stuck at home. THEY are the ones who said students don’t have to do temp checks anymore before coming to school. Well...because of that rule, one of our kiddos came with a 101.9 fever and tested positive. That’s NOT my fault. So again..sorry if I’m bitchy or whatever but this sucks. All because the school thought student temp checks were a pain...and because we have parents who don’t give a **** about their kids.

I'm going back to work tomorrow after 6 months off.
Well we got approved through the SpEd department to work from home and get paid. The fact that was even an issue is disturbing!!! The board of Ed met last night and they basically told the audience that the quarantining at the HS is an overreaction and that there is no way alll those kids are sick. Saying the teachers are drama queens and don’t want to be at work.

As nine ZIP codes in New York City see a spike in coronavirus cases, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Tuesday that city workers will be patrolling hot spots with the authority to fine people who do not wear a mask.
During his Tuesday morning briefing, de Blasio said that members of the “Trace Corps” and hundreds of additional city works will be sent into the hot-spot neighborhoods to conduct virus testing. They will also be offering free masks and offer a warning to people not wearing one. If someone refuses to wear a mask after being warned, workers will have the power to impose a fine.
"That will happen aggressively. Clearly, our goal, of course, is to give everyone a free face mask and get them to wear it," de Blasio said.
The mayor also said that private schools and child care centers will be closed if they do not follow the city's orders on health safeguards.
He also recently authorized the police department and the sheriff’s office to enforce public health guidelines. Health officials have begun carrying out emergency inspections in private schools in predominantly Orthodox Jewish communities in Queens and Brooklyn, where residents often do not wear masks or engage in social distancing.

No requirement to have ID when walking around a city. If some ***** wants to give me a "mask ticket," I tell her I have no ID. When asked for name, tell her I'm Asian and my name is *** Yu.
I'm betting that Trump is on HCQ and doesn't miss the next debate.
Like the Olympia Restaurant selling cheeseburgers, the whole country would likely eventually test positive until it peters out.
